client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior manager of digital marketing at a magazine.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
We were looking to be able to scale subscription orders from the search channel.
We had been working with another agency for a number of years and while they were really good in the beginning, over time, they started to lack in performance. After cutting ties with them, we started with AdVenture and they’ve been a really great partner.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have weekly calls where we talk about different tests we want to run to try to increase subscriptions, while decreasing the cost per order.
It’s their job to carry out the tests, keep an eye on our campaigns on a daily basis, and manage the budget effectively to get the number of subscriptions we budgeted for each month. It’s a lot of balancing scale with spending, and getting subscriptions for the lowest possible cost.
What is the team composition?
Erica (SEM Senior Account Strategist, AdVenture Media Group), is our main point of contact.
They’ve been growing, and when we started out, we had 5-7 people on all of our emails. As we’ve gotten into the flow of things, Erica has been our only point of contact. We always have access to other people there.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
I found them through an online course website called Udemy. I wanted to teach myself about Google Ads, and I actually bought a course that’s taught by Isaac (Founder & CEO, AdVenture Media Group). I found it really helpful and very insightful.
They use the course to get new top-of-funnel clients, and they offer a free audit. I took advantage of the free audit and thought they did a really great job. They had a lot of really good ideas. We ended up trying them out and it’s been great.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested approximately $40,0000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in May 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve definitely seen a substantial increase of 30% in subscriptions since we’ve started with them.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed very well from a project management standpoint. We mainly communicate via email because they get back to me so quickly, so I don’t feel like I need to call them all the time.
Previously, they sent us a weekly report but then they actually built us a dashboard online that's updated in real-time with all of our metrics so we can log in at any time to see them. Occasionally, I’ll ask for something outside the scope of that reporting and they’ll put together with me also.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really feel like the team, Erica especially, is as invested in our business as we are. It’s hard to find true partners and I think in that respect, not just account managers that’re trying to get you to spend more money. They’re very invested and are always coming up with new ideas that we can try.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, overall, I’ve been very happy. They’ve been a very stellar partner.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to truly tap them for idea generation. I don’t always think that you have to come up with every test. I feel like they’re very open to a lot of collaboration and they’re willing to go the extra mile to help certain campaigns come to fruition. For instance, if it’s a video campaign, they’re happy to help with the video creation without charging an arm and a leg. You should tap them for everything they can provide.

The marketing channels’ level of efficiency increased drastically as a result of AdVenture Media Group’s efforts. The team is responsive, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. They always foster a sense of collaboration, which helps the process run smoothly.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of growth strategy & execution at a media company. We run video-on-demand services as a smaller business unit of our larger network. I focus primarily on running acquisition marketing and retention marketing.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
We needed help operating our performance marketing channels, mainly Facebook and search. We wanted a new agency to be fully focused on one brand, instead of working across all parts.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They manage all of the operational aspects of our campaigns on Facebook and Google Ads, limited to paid social and paid search at the moment. They really work the campaigns from every angle in terms of setup, optimization, tracking, and reporting. We partner on strategy, for the most part, and they’re the operational piece of it. We had specific KPI’s and sign-ups for our services that we wanted to meet. There isn’t any one specific deliverable in this relationship, but rather a desired ongoing campaign performance.
What is the team composition?
On the business side, I work with Ari (Director of Sales, AdVenture Media Group). In the onboarding phase, I worked with Isaac (Founder & CEO, AdVenture Media Group). On a day-to-day basis, I work with Erica (Senior Account Strategist, Adventure Media Group), Patrick (Director of PPC/SEM, Adventure Media Group), and Ronnie (Senior Account Strategist, Adventure Media Group).
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
We evaluated five different agencies, and each one performs an audit of our account and came up with recommendations on how they would run things. We decided to go with AdVenture Media Group based on their performance in that thorough process.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested approximately $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were already running the channels that we operate through Adventure Media before we brought them on, but our efficiency in them has drastically improved. I’d say our work has been cut in half, which is amazing. It also translates into subscribers signing up for the services we offer. In terms of revenue, we’re stretching our budget twice as far as we used to.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They perform excellently from a project management standpoint. Communication and responsiveness are probably the strongest parts of their team. They’re super responsive and I don’t ever feel like they’ve dropped the ball on anything. We talk weekly, and are emailing constantly. It’s been really smooth overall.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The communication and the thought process on the strategy have been most impressive. They’re always up to speed on what we’re doing and bring a lot of really good ideas to the table, so it feels collaborative. Instead of just telling them what to do and not being involved in their process, they’re more like an extension of our team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We work with multiple agencies, and the only area in which we’ve seen more from others is in data and reporting. The sophistication of those systems and our current system with AdVenture Media works for us, but I think if they were to improve anywhere, it would be in the granularity of the data they’re tracking on a regular basis.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would say take time to know them and set the relationship us so they’re an extension of your own team. That’ll enable them to be a thought partner, instead of just a vendor you’re pushing work to.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the owner of 1st Class Medical. We sell respiratory medical equipment, both home and portable.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
I used to do all of our digital marketing myself, and it's a lot of work. I needed to focus my attention on growing the business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
AdVenture Media Group did some research on how people search for our company. They focus on Google AdWords, Yahoo, and Bing. They do the daily management of our AdWords account, adding negative keywords and new search terms. They also built a new landing page for our website. We will be using them soon for Facebook as well.
What is the team composition?
We work with Isaac (founder and CEO, AdVenture Media Group) as well as a senior account strategist.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
We found them on Udemy. My business partner was doing some research on AdWords, and suggested we speak to Isaac about building a partnership.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2018 and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We've seen a decrease in ad spend of almost 40% but have kept the same amount of leads. We're saving money even with spending money on the services that they provide. We're quite happy with how they've cleaned up our AdWords account.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Every morning we have a call where they tell us the results of the day before. They're currently building a dashboard that's going to allow us to easily see what they're doing and account statistics.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really like the landing page that they put together. I do a lot of web page building myself, and I've learned a lot from what they did. Of course, it’s also very impressive that they were able to cut costs by 40% without sacrificing leads.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they're good at communications. They give us the information that we need every day.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re great. Our numbers are exactly what we wanted.

AdVenture Media Group provides ongoing digital marketing services, working on PPC, programmatic ads, and paid social media ads. They work on Google, Bing, Facebook, and Instagram.
Their work thus far has produced exceptional results, with the spend averaging 15% of the revenue throughout. Their team is comprised of experts who can offer excellent advice, guidance, and support at any time, always communicating effectively and answering any queries quickly.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Sofamania is an online furniture company serving the continental U.S. Our headquarters are in Los Angeles, and we have distribution centers in Indiana and Atlanta. I’m the CMO, in charge of campaigning, marketing strategies, and budgeting.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
We were looking for more detailed expertise, and the ability to execute digital marketing efforts, with a focus on paid advertisements in particular. We were working with a different company at the time, and while it was successful to a certain extent, it was getting extremely expensive. Our measurement of success wasn’t there anymore.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their area of focus includes paid ads on search engines, particularly Google and Bing. They’re also managing paid ads through Facebook and Instagram, as well as programmatic ads through a platform called Criteo.
They’ve also given us their input on creatives, sales, and website design. We like including them in this area, and it fits with how we see them as more than a partner. It’s a great focus-group experience to have them pitching their ideas, as well as giving observations on what we have in place right now.
What is the team composition?
Isaac (CEO, AdVenture Media Group) is our main contact and he’s taken a personal approach with our account. We work with one of their SEM account strategists who runs the paid ads on Facebook and Instagram. We also work with another SEM specialist, who’s more hands-on on the AdWords side of things.
We do have an official account manager; he keeps us up to date on a constant basis, on the state of our account and new initiatives. Another resource is working on the strategy of how our efforts can be combined.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
We found them through a reference. I was doing some research on SEO, and one of their members at the time came up as a very successful guru in the field. We’d also received some good references for them some months before that. We then established a streamline of communication in order to start redesigning our paid efforts.
How much have you invested with them?
We started at a much slower spending rate, and it’s evolved since then. We were coming from a not so great experience, and we first wanted to know how this thing could work. We were a bit hesitant on the new partnership, so we started lower. We now have a month-to-month relationship that’s based on performance. We haven’t had any reason whatsoever to even remind ourselves of this fact, though.
So far, it’s been $2 million–$2.5 million. This is just the allocation for all campaign efforts combined—PPC, programmatic ads, and paid social media ads.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with AdVenture in late-January 2018, and the relationship is ongoing. They have more of a general involvement, rather than a project with us.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They started performing two weeks in, in the most incredible way. This meant that the dollar amount spent increased, as did the level of involvement.
Everything reacts in a different way, depending on the platform. The numbers fluctuate on Facebook, Google, and so on, but the spend has remained solidly at 15% of the overall revenue. For industry or retail standards, this is extremely good. The results we’ve seen from AdVenture are excellent.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re really good in terms of communication. Response times are almost always immediate, even though we’re three hours apart.
The choice of communication channels depends on the situation. If it’s an ongoing thing, it’s sometimes easier just to make a phone call, instead of having a back-and-forth conversation over email. Usually, we have a recap every two weeks that covers everything. We both pitch our vision in terms of where we feel we are and what can be improved, dropped, or added.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their superb level of understanding is impressive; it’s off the charts. Their delivery is also quite incredible. In overall terms, they always go beyond what’s expected and promised. It’s the only reason we’re not going anywhere else—we praise this partnership on a daily basis.
It seems and feels as if we’re their only client. The service is extremely personalized, the communication is fast and fluent, and I cannot think of any time when I had to explain who I was and where we stood. Every communication is attended to as if they’d just prepared to hear from us, even the call came out of nowhere.
Are there any areas they could improve?
This is something I’ve thought about, just for the sake of playing devil’s advocate, to see if I find something. However, I can’t find anything substantial, aside from specific situations where there was miscommunication on a certain element. There’s nothing major that they really need to work on.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Stop and listen. It may sound like philosophical nonsense, but it’s an honest observation. Businesses usually think they know everything in terms of wants, concept, strategy, budget, and so on, but most of the time, they’re wrong. When the client just listens to someone who has solid knowledge, things can change. Someone approaching AdVenture for paid ads management should let them prove what they can do.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the general manager at LPT Medical. We're a company that sells portable oxygen concentrators.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
We wanted to lower our ad spend while keeping the same quantity and quality of leads.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They're in charge of all of our digital media and AdWords. We came in with the keywords we wanted to target and they made their own recommendations based on the extensive research that they did.
What is the team composition?
I mostly work with Isaac (Founder and CEO, AdVenture Media Group).
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
I took a class that Isaac was teaching. Later, I decided to get in touch with him about the project and we went from there.
How much have you invested with AdVenture Media Group?
We've spent about $60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in June 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Every day we discuss cost per lead and how many sales we've received. We've noticed that our budget keeps going down, while the number of out leads stays the same or even gets higher.
How did they perform from a project management standpoint?
We talk on the phone every morning to discuss the status of the project. They're also building a dashboard for us. In addition, we have access to all the accounts, so we can see the updates ourselves.
What did you find most impressive about AdVenture Media Group?
They're great communicators. Isaac always gets a hold of me no matter what time of day or night it is.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Isaac is very knowledgeable and professional, but he runs a big company. It'd be good if they had someone just as knowledgeable as Isaac that we can talk to when Isaac is not available.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You can have peace of mind and know that you're in good hands. AdVenture Media is the company that stands behind their work. The best part about them is that they underpromise and overdeliver.

AdVenture Media Group does ongoing PPC to increase competitiveness in a niche industry. The team manages campaigns across multiple channels.
The campaigns have increased conversions and the overall market share. Keywords now rank in the top two results. The team is well-versed in PPC strategies. They’re a good fit for collaborative partnerships.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this

transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the chief information officer (CIO) at a manufacturing company. We produce washers and gaskets.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
We’re in a niche industry and wanted to keep up with the competition. We hadn’t realized how much they’d invested in PPC.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The engagement has focused on PPC because that’s their specialty. Initially, both teams researched high-traffic keywords and terms to target. Subsequently, they created a campaign across multiple channels using the resulting set of terms.
What is the team composition?
The founder and senior SEM strategist are our main points of contact.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
I found them through the Google AdWords portal. I wanted a top company and they were highly rated.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent upwards of $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Work started in 2014 and is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve attained a larger market share. Requests for Quotations (RFQ) have increased significantly. We now rank either one or two for any single campaign.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
The engagement hasn’t called for a formal management structure. We’ve collaborated well on research projects. We communicate via phone to review ongoing campaigns.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re exceptionally knowledgeable, which is exactly what I wanted.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’d be great if they knew more about our industry. But that’s an unrealistic expectation because they’re not going to know every industry they advertise.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Results are critical to success; traffic needs to convert to RFQs. It’s then up to the client to close those quotes.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director of marketing for The Original ScrapBox. We specialize in niche furniture for crafters and creators.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture?
We had a challenge with Google AdWords. We had been working with a freelancer and wasted a lot of money on ads. The work was brought in-house, and I handled it for a while, learning on-the-go. It started to take up too much of my time so, rather than bringing in a new employee, we decided to hire an agency.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
AdVenture Media was hired to manage our Google AdWords accounts. We gave them an introduction to our requirements, which they had researched, and came up with keywords and testing ad groups. They’ve learned about our products and company and continue to test keywords to find the best ones. They’ve also consulted us about the other advertising channels we’re using.
How did you come to work with AdVenture?
We googled “top AdWords agencies” and AdVenture came out on top.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost of their services over the last four years has been $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with AdVenture four years ago. We’ve worked with them ever since.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
AdVenture has done wonders since we hired them. Our quality score on Google is the highest it’s ever been—the latest score is 9.4 and it continues to go up. Our conversion cost has gone down. The average is $13 per sale, where a typical sale for us is $2,000. It’s a great return on investment.
How did AdVenture perform from a project management standpoint?
We had weekly communication for the first 2 1/2 years but reduced the frequency to once a month. The reps assigned to us by AdVenture are knowledgeable and hands-on with our account. Instead of passing the work off to other people, they oversee everything directly or do it themselves. They’ve been responsive to emails and calls from our side.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate how personable they are. Rather than feeling like a big corporation, AdVenture feels like a small team that really cares about our company and wants us to succeed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wouldn’t change a thing. We’ve been happy with them.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Working with a team like theirs can save a business a lot of time and money. AdVenture is up-to-date and professional at what they do. Even though they’re not sitting in our office, they’re willing to learn and conduct themselves as if they were. They really care about our growth and how we’re performing. The better we do, the better they do as well, so it’s a great business partnership.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO at MF Fire, a technology company that uses advanced combustion science to engineer superior fire products.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media Group?
As a fairly young startup, we needed to build top online practices. We were developing a different business model from our competitors (one that relies heavily on online selling and marketing), so we were specifically looking for search engine marketing (SEM). I understood it a bit, but we wanted a deeper level of sophistication.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
AMG helped craft a comprehensive approach that took us from testing the market to creating programs that consistently pushed us into a more advanced state. They analyzed the user experience and the way people were buying in our market to better inform our PPC and AdWords decisions.
AMG worked on everything related to Google but not our social media. They’ve now expanded into remarketing, video campaigns, and competitive placements. They use a variety of techniques to essentially do A/B testing across numerous campaigns, keywords, and approaches. We then refine our unique brand based on those findings.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with quite a few people at AMG: the founder, a senior SEM strategist, and currently an SEM account strategist.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media Group?
I met their founder in a Udemy course. He was phenomenal, so I sought out his organization and engaged with them on our initial SEM efforts.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend between $7,000–$8,000 a month on service provider fees.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together for about a year.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Paid spending has well-defined success metrics, so we mainly use those. Google Analytics provides a starting point to measure top of funnel effectiveness. We’re able to see the traffic, who we’re reaching, the click-through rate, etc. On our own internal website, we can benchmark AMG’s progress, which has been good. They help us identify where our customer interest is, so we can go to the retailers in those metro or regional areas.
How did AdVenture Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?
AMG provides a monthly report that summarizes all of the data we don’t get from Google Analytics. The team uses additional tools to aggregate and display what’s happening, which has been helpful as we select retail partners and move into our multichannel development.
Every person that we’ve worked with, from the founder to the account manager, has been amazing. They’ve taken our project from ground zero and helped us launch what we have today. Our program manager takes an active role in guiding our strategy and implementing tactical elements of our campaign. She listens to our input about the nuances of the industry, so she can best leverage her SEM knowledge.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Out of our entire marketing budget, AMG is the last resource I’d part with. Since the beginning, they’ve been great. They’re able to take a large body of knowledge and domain expertise and apply it as if we were a Fortune 500 company. We’re small, but they treat us like a large, important client. Our virtual presence is so strong because of the care and attention AMG puts into our campaigns.
They're dependable, easy to work with, and communicate well. They’re the digital marketing arm of our company; I don’t see them as an external provider.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d like to see them market their skills better and offer more services. They’re a great team, and I want to know what else they can do.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Have clear goals before you engage with AMG. The more information you can provide them, the better their service will be. They have all the resources to accomplish whatever you need.
Whether you’re an early startup or a firm with a couple hundred of employees, AMG is a great choice.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am one of the founding members of an online parenting program created by doctors to alleviate the pressure and worry experienced by new and expecting parents.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with AdVenture Media?
We were trying to attract more traffic to our site.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They gave me suggestions based on how I had heard of them and how they were identified to me, which I found interesting. They had a good idea of what I was doing wrong from our first scope call and had no qualms about telling me. AdVenture made very direct suggestions of what I would have to do in order to succeed. Those were a bit beyond the scope of what we ended up hiring them for, but they needed to look at the overall business objectives in order to identify online and social media marketing needs.
AdVenture Media is in charge of all of our ads, including pay-per-click (PPC) and Facebook. Although they’re strictly an ad platform, they gave me a lot of suggestions on what I could be doing with my site and Facebook profile.
What is the team composition?
I’ve interacted with the following AdVenture Media personnel: two senior SEM strategists, an SEM account strategist, another SEM account strategist for our Facebook marketing, the founder and president, and the director of business development.
How did you come to work with AdVenture Media?
I was attracted to AdVenture Media by one of their ads.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with AdVenture a few years ago.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Through them, we’ve been able to attract thousands of unique visitors per month.
How did AdVenture Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re on the phone at least once a month, and we also email on a number of topics. It’s a constant process. AdVenture is responsive in telling me what they think. They’ve met deadlines and budgets, and the work has met my expectations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Even though they’re primarily in charge of our ads, I’ve found it impressive that they strive to understand more about my business, what we’re looking to achieve, and with whom we’re looking to achieve it. I’ve interviewed a lot of agencies that specialized in social media or PPC that only wanted to talk about those areas and didn’t care about my business. That wasn’t for me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Offering full business consulting would be an improvement. What AdVenture can do with the information that they learn about a business is incredible. A division in charge of marrying the business consultation and ad management would be great. There’s nothing I could ask them to improve regarding their current services.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I would simply recommend communicating with AdVenture. They’re a great team of people.
