I’m a former product manager at Diageo. I managed a content marketing website called LiveInStyle.

What challenge were you trying to address with 7EDGE?
We needed a partner who could fulfill multiple needs, including revamping a website and CMS, helping build a nightlife product, and running digital marketing.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
7EDGE built an Android app for our digital marketing campaigns and also managed some of our media buying. They worked on social media campaigns and marketed on our social networks. Other third-party partners collaborated with them to work on VR apps to help sell our products.
Beyond that, they also helped rebuild our website and consulted on the selection process for our new CMS. We’d been using an old CMS that wasn’t meeting our needs, so 7EDGE identified a few possible solutions.

We mainly worked with an account manager but also met with the head of technology as well as the CEO, when needed.

I was the brand manager of Diageo, an Indian alcohol brand.

What challenge were you trying to address with 7EDGE?
Advertising of alcohol is not permitted in the Indian market. Therefore, our challenge was relaying our brand’s message to the community.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
My company didn’t have a particular idea of what we wanted. We gave 7EDGE a brief explanation of what the brand stands for and the space that we’d like to be in. After a few discussions, 7EDGE proposed a couple of ideas, one of which was to develop an app that would communicate with customers and bypass the ban on mainstream advertising. We approved, and 7EDGE developed an iOS and Android app that allows users to take unique selfies. They engaged one of the best photographers in India to design a special set of filters for the app.
7EDGE delivered an end-to-end solution. They considered the brief, proposed the design and layout, and then executed it once the overall concept was approved internally in the company.
What is the team composition?
7EDGE had two people from client services and a tech team of about eight people. A photographer was also involved. From my side, we had a four-member team.
How did you come to work with 7EDGE?
I was looking for an agency to handle small digital projects, and 7EDGE was local. Initially, they were responsible for managing Twitter and Facebook content; eventually, our working relationship evolved, and they began conceiving bigger and better ideas.

I haven’t kept track of the app since I left the organization. However, the response was tremendous when we launched the app. We reached around 30,000 downloads within a couple of months, and our digital impressions went up by 100%–150%. The app helped us to become the first brand to sell a million cases in the shortest amount of time, just seven months.

They were quite good with project management. 7EDGE had teams dedicated to different areas; for instance, one team focused on understanding the brief, while another was committed to UI/UX. They were quite professional in their approach and had a structured process that covered everything, from understanding the briefs to final delivery. They met deadlines, and my team was always aware of what was happening in the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I found 7EDGE to be very forward-thinking; they had a keen sense of what the next big thing would be. The team sought to deliver ideas that would make our brand bigger and better. They were professional and easy to work with.

The scope was substantial. At a high level, 7EDGE had to design and build:
● Separate web interfaces for different user types — patients, providers, administrators, and others — each with their own access levels and workflows.
● Mobile app interfaces tailored for two distinct user roles.
● Automated email and SMS communication flows for account management, alerts, and patient notifications.
● API integrations capable of receiving live health data from multiple remote monitoring device vendors simultaneously.
● A centralized database to store and manage all of the above.
● End-to-end HIPAA-compliant security protocols — non-negotiable in healthcare.
When it all came together, what 7EDGE delivered was a full Enterprise SaaS platform — built on a serverless, modular-monolithic architecture using AWS SaaS Fundamentals. It’s a complex product, and the fact that they pulled it off within a reasonable timeframe says a lot about their execution.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We ran the project in structured sprints, and each one had to be tested and approved by our team before development moved forward, so there was real accountability built into the process from the start. Once all the pieces were in place, we ran a full system test over a 60-day period to stress-test the platform end-to-end before going live. That window gave us genuine confidence that what we were releasing was production-ready, not just demo-ready.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Honestly, the project management was one of the more impressive parts of the engagement. They followed Agile methodology, which worked well for a project of this complexity. We had a dedicated project manager assigned exclusively to us, not shared across accounts and we met virtually almost every day. That sounds like a lot, but it never felt excessive. It kept decisions tight and caught issues early. Developer meetings were scheduled on an as-needed basis for design reviews or when we needed to dig into something technical. Overall, they were responsive and kept things moving throughout.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their genuine dedication to getting it right. This wasn’t a transactional engagement where they built what was in the spec and called it done. They actually cared about understanding what we were trying to accomplish and why, which made a real difference when we hit grey areas or had to make product decisions on the fly. That kind of attitude is hard to find and it’s what I’d point to if someone asked me why I’d work with them again.
Are there any areas for improvement or something 7EDGE could have done differently?
There was a learning curve on both sides early on, and I will be honest about our part in it, we could have come in with tighter, more detailed requirements from the start. On their end, they had to get up to speed on the nuances of the healthcare industry, which has a lot of regulatory and workflow complexity that isn’t obvious from the outside. Once we got aligned on those things, the project ran smoothly all the way through to delivery. In hindsight it’s a pretty natural dynamic for a first-of-its-kind engagement, but going in more prepared would have saved a few weeks upfront.
