Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Director of Marketing at Pimcore Global Services (A Happiest Minds Company). PGS helps mid-market organizations to global enterprises to enhance customer experience, improve productivity and gain competitive differentiation by helping them succeed in their digital transformation journey with the Pimcore platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Zensciences?

When we first approached Zensciences, we wanted to drive brand awareness among relevant audiences.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to make a lasting impression in the market as a thought leader and create opportunities for:

•  Bolstering reach to influencers or forums, such as journals and advisory circles.
•  Building trust and conviction among prospective buyers.
•  Strategically communicating with the right audience, such as teams enabling decision-makers.

We have had an existing relationship with Zen, they have been our partner for over 5 years

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Zensciences built us a targeted global content strategy – by identifying themes, intent, and specific audience segments (information seekers, technology enthusiasts, and procurement analysts). They helped us select the right mediums to publicize our data management expertise that garnered maximum reach and engagement. Through targeted blogs across numerous channels including third-party publishing houses, they were able to mobilize a publishing pipeline.

Their team even repurposed pre-existing articles into relevant pieces infused with the current context to boost traction with minimal cost. By creating compelling narratives around the organization’s prominent works through testimonials and client-endorsed proofs of concepts, they were able to effectively showcase the value Pimcore delivers to its clientele.

What was the team composition?

Alongside frequent communication with their founders, we were paired with a 5-member in-house team across content, project management, and design.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 12 months, we achieved greater reach and resonance with over 60 published articles. We also witnessed visible improvement in performance metrics with third-party published assets garnering almost 5 lakh impressions on average.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We first started working with Zensciences in 2019, and since then the workflow has evolved into a smooth process followed diligently by both teams. Each time there is a new request from our team, they begin by analyzing the request, formulating their initial review, and then proceed to deliver according to a mutually agreed-upon timeline. We have annual and monthly status checks and communicate mostly over email, and now, video conferencing platforms.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have an in-depth understanding of our brand’s product and voice which has been extremely beneficial while translating our solutions into market-ready content.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Their team can improve secondary research methods to make content more specific.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of an organization called Raddius Corp, and we’re a fintech innovator startup out of Princeton in New Jersey. We also have a research and development, and engineering facility in Bangalore India. Our area of innovation is in smart cards and wearables in the enabled payment space.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zensciences?

As a startup, we need to go through the various phases of the free market interface. We reached out to Zensciences to help us for a large part of our journey. To a certain extent, this includes UX design, backend development, marketing videos, and so forth.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zensciences helped us build and develop our corporate website, which started with the creation of a pitch deck for our clients.

Their work on the website included the creation of various market-related videos for our company and user testimonials. Additionally, they helped us create all the aspects of branding and digital presence, including the conceptualization of the product logo. 

They also helped us develop and design their UI/UX of our wearable device and companion app. Moreover, Zensciences coordinated our launch campaign on Indiegogo, and managed the post-campaign customer response.

What is the team composition?

I was working closely with their founders, as well as a lead creative designer, web developer, and a couple of other people from their team.

How did you come to work with Zensciences?

I needed a team of really creative people who are project-oriented, in the sense that they can execute the timelines and costs that were conducive to startups. They were fairly flexible in the commercial models as well, which was very useful for startups such as ours. They were a full-service firm, so I didn’t have to shop around for different parts of my campaign.

How much have you invested with them?

It would probably be in the region of $100,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started on October 215–January 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I believe we had a fairly high-yield and impactful campaign. On a scale of 1–10, the impact itself would score somewhere in the 8–9 region. They were very timely, the quality of their deliverables was great, and they were very professional.

Everyone who spoke to us about our products, told us that it didn’t feel like a product of a startup. It looked and felt like it cost over a million dollars in marketing spend.

How did Zensciences perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m not really sure of the tools they used in the backend, because they were also working with members of my team. However, if I look at it in terms of effectiveness, we got our deliverables on time, and at the quality that required minuscule rework.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would say I was very impressed with their professionalism, the quality of their work, and creativity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing radical really comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In any campaign, it helps to have clarity of what you would expect and what you want. I would also advise being more flexible in listening to professional advice, because they can come up with some pretty good stuff. If you are going to work with them, you should also make sure to give them the level of flexibility and independence to work so you can get the best out of them.
