Xclaymation built VPower's complete positioning infrastructure for the UAE market. They started by analyzing the regional competitive landscape — how other energy storage providers were positioning themselves to UAE buyers across our target segments. They worked with our team to identify what genuinely differentiates VPower — our next-generation battery technology, sustainability-first engineering, and energy independence value proposition. From there they built buyer personas for each of our five segments, developed segment-specific value propositions, and created a unified messaging architecture that brought all our product lines under one coherent UAE market narrative. The final deliverable was a complete go-to-market messaging framework our sales and partner teams could use immediately.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

When we entered the UAE market we had strong technology but no clear way to explain our advantage to regional buyers. After working with Xclaymation our entire team was using the same messaging across every segment — industrial, commercial, residential, and telecom. The positioning infrastructure they built gave us a confident, consistent market narrative from day one of our UAE launch. That consistency made a real difference in how quickly we established credibility with new clients in a competitive market.

Xclaymation managed the engagement professionally throughout an 11-month project. Deliverables were structured and on time at every phase. Enn was personally involved at every key stage which gave us confidence the work was receiving the right level of attention throughout.

What stood out most was how quickly they understood both the technical complexity of our energy storage products and the specific dynamics of the UAE market simultaneously. Energy storage is a specialized category and most generalist agencies would have taken months to get up to speed. Xclaymation grasped the nuances fast and built positioning infrastructure that felt native to our market — not a generic framework adapted from elsewhere. The speed of understanding combined with the quality and depth of the final messaging was what made this engagement genuinely valuable for VPower's UAE launch.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Xclaymation could have done differently?

The engagement was entirely virtual which worked well overall. An in-person workshop in Dubai at the start of the project would have accelerated the discovery phase — there is context about UAE buyer behavior and regional energy market dynamics that is easier to absorb on the ground. This is a practical constraint given the geography rather than a reflection of the quality of work delivered.

When we started working with Xclaymation, we had a clear problem — we knew what we did well but couldn't explain it in a way that resonated with new enterprise clients. Every pitch was different depending on who was in the room.
They started by looking at how other catering companies in our space were positioning themselves — what they were saying, where the gaps were, and where Malcoti could stand out. Then they spent time with our leadership team understanding what actually makes us different after 38 years in this business.
From there they built out profiles of our ideal clients across each of our four segments — institutional, industrial, corporate, and hotel — so we knew exactly who we were talking to and what mattered to them. Finally they put together a complete messaging framework — our story, our value propositions for each segment, and a guide for how our BD team should present Malcoti in any conversation.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After working with Xclaymation, our business development team finally had a consistent way to present Malcoti to new enterprise clients. Before, every pitch was different depending on who was in the room. Within 60 days of delivery, our entire team was using the same messaging across all four segments we serve. 
Our conversations with institutional and corporate buyers became more focused and our proposals started reflecting a clearer, more confident narrative. It is difficult to put an exact number on positioning work but the difference in how we show up in a room is noticeable.

Xclaymation was organized and responsive throughout the engagement. Deliverables came in on time and the process was structured — we always knew what was coming next and what was expected from our side. When we had feedback or wanted to revisit certain aspects of the positioning, they incorporated it quickly without making it feel like a complicated change request. 
Communication was primarily through virtual calls and messaging and that worked well given the distance. They managed the project professionally and I never felt like we were being handed off to junior staff. Neeraj was personally involved at every stage which made a difference.

They translated that into positioning infrastructure that our team could actually use. That combination of strategic depth and practical delivery is rare and it is what made this engagement worth it.

The one thing I would mention is that an in-person working session early in the engagement would have accelerated the discovery process. Working across time zones and entirely virtually meant some of the nuance around our operations took a little longer to surface than it might have otherwise. That said this is a practical constraint given the geography and not a reflection of the quality of work.

The engagement began with structured positioning workshops with our founding partners, surfacing our core differentiators — our skin-in-the-game commitment, institutional pedigree, and proprietary methodology. From the workshop outputs, Xclaymation has developed ideal client profiles for three investor segments: family offices, institutional allocators, and high-net-worth individuals. Each profile is built around specific trust signals and due diligence criteria. The team has also developed a complete messaging architecture covering our repositioned market narrative and segment-specific value propositions. Currently, Xclaymation is delivering a fully redesigned website and investor sales enablement materials. The engagement is ongoing.

Before this engagement, our external positioning hadn’t caught up with the quality and differentiation of what we had built internally. The positioning infrastructure Xclaymation has delivered has given us a certain, evidence-based narrative that we now use consistently across every investor conversation. The improvement in how we present ourselves to allocators has been tangible, and the ongoing nature of the engagement reflects our continued confidence in the work.

How did Xclaymation perform from a project management standpoint?

The engagement has been well-structured and professionally managed throughout. Xclaymation’s workshop facilitation has been rigorous and drawn out the strategic nuances of our investment philosophy that have translated effectively into positioning outputs. The team has produced deliverables to a high standard within agreed-upon timeframes. When refinements have been needed, Xclaymation has incorporated them without friction. We mainly communicate via virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Xclaymation’s ability to understand the specific positioning requirements of an alternative investment firm quickly and accurately has been impressive. Financial services is a specialized context — the language, buyer psychology, and competitive landscape require genuine expertise. Xclaymation has built positioning infrastructure that feels native to our market rather than adapted from a generic framework. Their combination of speed of understanding and quality of output is uncommon in our experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our engagement has been conducted entirely virtually across time zones, which has worked well overall. However, an in-person workshop session in Stockholm at the outset would have accelerated certain elements of the discovery process. Still, this is a practical constraint rather than a criticism of Xclaymation’s methodology or the quality of work delivered.
