I do food and cooking segments. We send them raw footage from two cameras and they edit it into a cohesive video. They do many projects for us.

We’re able to communicate easily through Freelancer.com, and give feedback via email or chat. If we have changes, which at this point is not very often, they do it with a fairly quick turnaround.

We’ve continued using them for years because they are consistent and typically can turn around a project within a few days or a week.

Their team is very effective. It doesn’t take a lot of back and forth for them to get the job done.

It’s so easy to work with them.

While we would always like things done faster, realistically they do a great job. Wow-How Studio always delivers within the time frame that they quoted.

They developed a gaming system for gambling. The platform contains gamification involving characters, awards, tournaments, and shop feature. Artists crafted the illustrations. The design is complemented with pseudo-3D qualities.

The project launches in February 2019.

The whole process was extremely efficient. A majority of communication was through email with very few phone calls. Our teams understood each other.

The guys needed to develop an animation for a one-minute script.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to engage our audience, trigger their emotions, and inspire empathy.

SOLUTION

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The first step was a consultation with the design lead. During a one-hour call, we went through each frame step by step. Then they provided a high-concept design that explained the position of the characters, the actions that would take, and the background of each frame. At that point, I gave feedback to complete the picture.

They provided animation and character examples from which we could choose.  That was critical to building empathy within the animation. Then they put the animations into action and we offered feedback. After completing the characters, backgrounds, and movements, they sprinkled in cool effects and added a good background song.

We hit our crowdfunding goal!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Wow-How Studio provided an engaging, responsive project manager who took care of our ever-changing requirements. They were personable, flexible, and professional.

They were willing to take on challenges and change elements of the product while delivering at a quick pace.

They could improve their time management. The deadline slipped by a few days, but that didn't hinder overall progress.
