BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as the Director of Marketing for Zesty.io, a software company which produces a SaaS, hybrid headless Content Management System. We work with startups through enterprise in virtually any vertical to consolidate their content production to one platform (Zesty.io) which syndicates that content to multiple websites, iOS apps, Android apps, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and virtually any IoT device.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wordify?

With a small team, consistent content production is a challenge. We were asking our development team for help contributing to articles, marketing and sales collateral, and more, but it wasn't a scalable process. We needed to hire an outside team that was organized, technical, and detail-oriented in their content production.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose this agency based on their industry focus and expertise in communication. They offered two packages - one that was solely content production based on a strategy provided to them, and one that included a deep analysis of our website analytics and build a strategy. We decided to work with them because they offered the strategy component, as that was a big gap for us before our engagement.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

At our kickoff meeting, they went into detail to ask about our target market and product differentiation. We reviewed our website analytics and most popular articles, and which ones were driving the highest percentage of conversions. From there, the team created a strategy which we reviewed and approved. We now have an ongoing board that has a list of ideas, what articles are in production, and which are ready for review so that we can all stay organized and consistent in our production schedule.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We work with the CEO directly as well as two writers below him, os three people in total.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Wordify presents our progress every 2 weeks. In the short time that we've been engaged, so far we've already seen an uptick in traffic numbers. We expect that to continue as content marketing is a "long game" and we know to expect more accurate results in 3-6 months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Extremely effective. We have biweekly meetings to review content, and once per month we review the progress of content production and how our traffic numbers are looking. We're very satisfied with this workflow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their content writers take a lot of time to interview us and ensure they're gathering the most accurate information as possible as they create an article, which is great because I don't have to re-review and re-write an article that's been produced. I can trust that the content they provide to me has been well researched, well written, and is ready for production.

We have bi-weekly strategy meetings and decide on content plan for the future. As content being prepared by the team, we work to optimize it and publish.

Results have been amazing, our Organic search results gained good increases since last year.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall, nothing really. They are great! The writing itself can be a little bit more engaging and fun to read maybe. It is a little bit too SEO driven.
