Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

First we hired them to build a prototype of a question and answer system using sample data from one of our customers. They demonstrated how a Large Language Model (LLM) could be used to deflect some customer inquiries that were occurring on our platform.

Subsequently, they were hired to help us develop the LLM question-and-answer system in our production environment. They delivered all the infrastructure in our cloud environment which was necessary to host the solution. They also modified our backend to implement the solution into our existing codebase.

Increased F500 client retention due to upgraded reporting & analytics needs to better analyze feedback

 They were very well organized. During the first phase, we were given an implementation roadmap which was helpful to understand the high-level timeline. During the implementation phase, they conducted regular planning meetings and demos to keep us up to date with progress. They were proactive in asking for feedback and met the timeline they proposed and were responsive to our needs when we encountered issues that needed to be fixed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

 Maz, our project lead, was very knowledgeable. He helped us plan for pitfalls based on previous experience. The team was well-organized and delivered high-quality software that exceeded our expectations. They were proactive with solving issues and set up excellent monitoring systems that allowed us to minimize the impact of issues when they occurred.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Wizard Labs could have done differently?

Everything was executed great and we dont feel there were any areas to improve or do differently.  We'd be happy to work with Wizard Labs again.

Maz and team were extremely attentive to our needs. They were proactive in conducting workshops to deduce our product requirements. They kept in touch with regular meetings and communicated effectively when deliverables took longer than expected to deliver. Overall we were very happy with them for delivering the complete project on time and on budget.

They were very organized in how they planned the project. They conducted regular workshops with us to adjust the project plan over the whole term which was really impressive. Maz the project lead was extremely detailed in his requirements gathering process. It was a pleasure to work with him and his team.

I’m a product manager at SIGMA Assessment Systems. We provide talent assessments, executive coaching, and succession planning services to help organizations develop leaders and strengthen teams. We serve over 8,500 organizations across North America.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wizard Labs?

We engaged Wizard Labs to explore how our proprietary content could support an AI-driven experience. We had a clear vision but needed guidance on the right technical approach, including security and end-user privacy considerations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wizard Labs has partnered with us to transform our proprietary psychometric IP into an interactive, AI-powered experience. Their scope includes defining the AI models, translating psychometric assessment data into personalized insights, designing conversational workflows and prompt architecture, and supporting MVP product definition. They’ve delivered a front-end that meets our design requirements and goes beyond. The backend is also thoughtfully developed.

How did you come to work with Wizard Labs?

We found them through an online search. We met with several companies, but Maz stood out by clearly translating our needs into a focused, practical scope that aligned with our goals, while others tended to overengineer the solution. Additionally, their pricing fit our budget and offered good value for the cost.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $50,000 to $199,999.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2025, and the engagement ended in March 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Wizard Labs has successfully delivered against our internal roadmap across three key phases, culminating in a completed MVP and internal user testing milestone. The MVP has been developed and tested within planned timelines, enabling early validation of the core AI experience. During testing, we’ve tracked engagement through repeat usage, session depth, and qualitative feedback, which indicates strong initial interest and perceived value in personalized, assessment-driven insights. We’ve also identified key usability and onboarding improvements that are now informing the next iteration of the product. This meets our expectations for these phases of the development process. As this is an early-stage MVP, internal testing has been conducted with a targeted group of representative users ahead of proceeding with our client test group. The goal at this stage is early signals and feedback. We haven’t set rigid quantitative benchmarks for engagement or satisfaction, but instead focus on directional signals such as repeat usage, quality of interactions, and perceived value of the AI-driven insights. Notably, internal leadership stakeholders have responded positively to the quality and relevance of the AI outputs, reinforcing confidence in the underlying approach. These signals have been strong enough to validate the core concept and identify clear areas for refinement in onboarding, usability, additional AI prompt refinements, and overall user experience.

How did Wizard Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

They have solid communication and clarity overall. We’ve aligned on the core ticket requirements before work began. We were engaged in sprint planning and stand-ups, so we could observe progress in real time and weigh in on priorities throughout. As the PM from our side, I’ve been able to incrementally engage with and test features as they’ve been developed. Additionally, I have 1:1s with Maz to sync on project health throughout, which has been helpful in keeping everything on track as things shift (normal and expected).

What did you find most impressive about them?

The development quality has been high at every stage. Sometimes, MVP products feel rough, and that can be part of the process. However, Wizard Labs has gone beyond and given us an MVP that feels polished.

We needed a deep dive into the technological robustness of the startups we were considering for investment. Wizardry Labs provided expert evaluations of the software solutions proposed or currently used by these startups. We wanted to ensure that the intellectual property of our potential investments was solid, proprietary, and defensible. Wizardry Labs helped us review the IP strategy and the strength of the startups' claims to their technology. 
It was critical to understand whether the technology stacks utilized by these companies were modern, sustainable, and maintained by a reliable community or vendor. Wizardry Labs evaluated the tech stacks for longevity, licensing, and efficiency. Wizardry Labs conducted a thorough review of the startups’ compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations to mitigate the risk of future legal and compliance-related issues. 
The quality of a startup's technical team is paramount to its success, so we had them evaluate the team's expertise, depth, management, and ability to execute the company’s vision. Lastly, we sought their expertise in determining how innovative the technologies were compared to existing market solutions and whether they provided a competitive edge/

They were able to identify multiple scenarios where founders had claimed that they had AI or an innovative feature that we could not have known was false/misleading had we not had them perform due diligence.
