The software solution we developed is for a US client from the insurance business. The tech stack includes .NET, Angular, SQL, and Azure tools among other technologies. Due to confidentiality arrangements, we can't disclose much of the other project details. 

The ITIDO developer is a seasoned .NET professional with advanced proficiency in Angular and C#. He demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, optimizing application performance and user experience. 

The ITIDO professional is a fast-learner who quickly got to understand the current codebase. He possesses excellent communication skills and proved the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, project requirements, ensuring timely and successful delivery. We wanted the web system to have several modules: staff management (i.e. utilization levels and absences), cost and license management for software tools for our engineers, and time-tracking capabilities. We want the vendor to take care of everything, including software architecture, UX/UI, development, testing and deployment. So, ITIDO was up for the challenge and took care of the entire scope. In terms of the technology stack, the application relies on React, Java, SQL and AWS cloud tools.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to ITIDO, the first version of the application was recently released and put into production. Our team is quite happy with the outcome and is already preparing the scope for upgrading the app to its second version, building on the current codebase. We are positively impressed with the attention to detail demonstrated by ITIDO's engineers.

Roam Labs hired ITIDO to join our software development efforts. In particular, we wanted help with the development of a mobile client for Android devices. At Roam, our team had a proof-of-concept app created with React Native technology. After the PoC was approved by our board, we embarked on building a full-blown product. 

For the MVP creation, we hired ITIDO to develop the Android mobile application. Moreover, we want ITIDO to help us further in developing the MVP by integrating feedback from test users in the telco industry. This is all part of Roam's product roadmap.

We recently launched the MVP of the customer's solution and are now working on version 2. We made it on time in large part thanks to ITIDO's staff members and their open, partner approach.

With ITIDO's help, we made some integrations and executed some implementations that were planned as part of the project plan. In the beginning most of the work was focused on DevOps activities, whereas now it is mostly related to Node.js development in the backend. Having worked actively with ITIDO starting January 2023, I can say I am very satisfied with the results so far.

Sponsoo was running for several years already and we felt that with the growth of the user base we needed extra development capacity. We looked for external partners that we can trust. Having established a contact with ITIDO, we decided to first trust them with tech review and then with some development tasks before committing to purchase a full-time team from them. It all started very well so we now work as one big team!

ITIDO's observations on the code proved to be very accurate, they are fast learners, got to know our domain very quickly and started shipping code in no time. As our app consists of a php framework in the backend with Angular and Ionic as front-end frameworks (web and mobile), we needed help both on the backend and the frontend of the product.

• Having ITIDO onboard, we upgraded the business logic of the app. In particular, the main user flow was re-worked in late 2022 and early 2023. I'm confident to say the release was facilitated by the help of ITIDO's engineers.

They were also involved in the testing and research of custom Splunk queries for monitoring our internal environments and EKS clusters.

We need help of external firms like ITIDO because they have engineers and product managers experienced in developing digital products.

With ITIDO, we have gone through our standard procurement process. For this particular opportunity, we checked numerous candidates. The Java engineer proposed by ITIDO stood out. She is not only knowledgeable technology-wise but also open-minded, easygoing, and a pleasure to interact with.

Origify combines hardware and software to check whether physical items are authentic, i.e. whether they are registered in our system by the original manufacturer. It is based on optical fingerprint technology. The ITIDO engineer is an indispensable part of the team. In particular, she contributes on daily basis with in-depth cloud development, programming in Java and support on DevOps topics.

Overall, the team consists of 15 members including technical and non-technical roles. ITIDO supports us with one experienced engineer. Unfortunately, I can't share any financial information due to sensitivity.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Various showcases for potential customers were implemented and we are currently conducting the final steps for the silent release / deployment to production system. So more people can try out our show case on their own and get convinced about the overall system and its benefits to follow up with them and integrate new products. In significant part, this was due to the efforts of the ITIDO engineer in the backend system. Looking forward, we hope to have more business customers in the coming months.

ITIDO sourced candidates based on our specific requirements regarding technology use and seniority level. After a bit of back and forth, one of their candidates from another project became available. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ITIDO’s developer has done great work on the deployed features and the systems development life cycle (SDLC) of the product, which is still in production. Most everything we’re looking for is there.

The scalability of the product and potential for future growth is good, which we’re happy with. The developer has really good coding standards and sets them for the rest of the team as well.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

ITIDO is pretty responsive when we need something, but more hands-off than other firms I’ve worked with. They've brought us the talent, and we've started working with the developer — their management team hasn’t been focused on ensuring their developer is embedded well in our team. However, if we have any issues, they answer really quickly and also follow up. They’re always happy to answer our questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ITIDO has a good internal culture; they all learn from each other. I got what I wanted: a remote teammate with a strong and open community.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more aware of the differences in structure and internal communication styles at different companies. Ours is less hierarchical than others, and it took some time for the developer to get accustomed to that, but now it’s a perfect fit.

As with many companies that do business globally using digital tools, we rely on a complex setup that includes both cloud services and physical infrastructure. We were aware that our system for virtual events had some shortcomings. We wanted to explore them in detail so we can address them properly and improve the overall user experience. We hired ITIDO to perform an audit - that is a technical review - that covered investigation of our source code, data bases as well as the cloud and on-premise servers we use.

The project was broken down into two phases. In the first one, ITIDO reviewed our source code and database. The second phase was dedicated to analyzing the system setup from architectural and hardware point of view. Also, we wanted to ensure our platform works seamlessly across the globe with various numbers of concurrent users. So ITIDO had to think constantly about the platform's stability, scalability and maintainability.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Upon finalizing the review, ITIDO provided reports with their observations and hands-on suggestions on how to improve the system. ITIDO suggested we should use an array of virtual instances to ensure our third-party video conferencing integrations work well when attendees dial in from across the world. Some blind spots of ours were also uncovered. For instance, the team discovered we employ multiple layers of the network address translation that created network / performance burden without tangible benefits in terms of security.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. The ITIDO technical and management representatives proactively organized a series of meetings with my inhouse team. They asked the right questions and uncovered the true state of our system. We never had even a moment to feel sorry for our choice to work with ITIDO.
