I’m the owner of a small payroll and tax business in Georgia. We provide a variety of services related to accounting needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wise Marketing Professionals?

As an accountant, I wanted the community to know I was a trusted advisor and a serious business. I had to communicate with people and show them we cared, and we were legitimate and consistent with the tax laws. We also wanted to make sure our community understood our credentials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wise Marketing Professionals is providing digital marketing services, such as social media management, and SEO. Wise Marketing Professionals has also developed my website from scratch. They’re helping me to build my reputation and spread it out. 

Wise Marketing Professionals is managing my Facebook account, creating organic and paid posts. All the posts Wise Marketing Professionals creates are based on the holidays, articles, or other topics related to accounting. They have their own marketing data and take care of finding content for me. Sometimes, I send Wise Marketing Professionals articles from websites I like to get information from, but mainly they pick the articles. They’re also handling my Google reviews and attracting more traffic. 

Every month, Wise Marketing Professionals does newsletters where we give my clients free tax advice to show them we’re up to speed with all the laws and regulations, and that we want to help them.

Megan (Owner) has created pamphlets and advertisements for my business. I consider that as another project because it’s out of the scope of the normal monthly services she provides. However, Megan has created a whole segment for me to do live videos on Facebook, where we give good advice to people and see if we can get business from there. She does the production for the videos.

How did you come to work with Wise Marketing Professionals?

I was introduced to Megan by a mutual friend we had. When I started my business, he told me that Megan did digital marketing. I talked with her about my company, and we realized that we had many things in common. We clicked, and I decided to hire Megan and start a small business venture together.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $10,000–$15,000. Wise Marketing Professionals is reasonably priced. They aren’t trying to gouge me. They’re very transparent, and they’re upfront about their fees and services. I really appreciate that.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2018, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Megan is doing a fantastic job and everything looks good. My clients are noticing the consistency of her work and they’re enjoying the material. I’ve received comments about my newsletters saying they’re very professional. In addition, my clients are giving me compliments about my posts, as well. 

Where I’m at today is probably about 50% because of Wise Marketing Professionals. I started with five clients, and now I have 175. Their talent has allowed me to put myself out there. Megan has been there through the core of everything, and I don’t know what I do without her.

How did Wise Marketing Professionals perform from a project management standpoint?

Megan’s project management is wonderful. She’s always making suggestions on how to improve the website, and how to attract more traffic on Google. Megan is always up to speed with all the marketing and creative things. If she has learned something new about a platform or program, she’d recommend it to me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Megan is very sweet. She cares and understands a lot about the issues small business owners have. Megan’s ability to relate to what owners need helps her produce the products for us. 

There are huge companies out there, but they don’t put into perspective that we’re a small firm and have a specific budget. Megan creates amazing work with the right price point, and she always tries to help.

Megan is like my family, we’ve become very close friends. We’ve grown together, and I think it’s because of her infectious personality. That attracts everybody who works with her.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing negative to say about Megan. She’s very consistent and that’s why she has been with me for over three years. Megan has always met our expectations, and she has been very clear on everything. Honestly, I don’t have any complaints.

Any advice for potential customers?

I’ve already connected two of my clients with Megan. I recommend that people make sure to specifically explain what they want. A lot of people automatically assume that because they’re hiring a marketing company, they’ll handle their Facebook. That’s one of the disconnects people have with Megan. She’s not a mind reader.

My advice is to be specific on what people want and need because Megan deals with a variety of different clients and everybody has different needs. That’s very helpful for Megan to make sure she’s going to provide and offer the best services.

I’m the owner of MOZN Solutions, a company that offers project management and consulting solutions for the healthcare sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wise Marketing Professionals?

Since I'm the only member of my business, I wear a lot of hats. I hadn't thought about marketing since I started, so I brought in Wise Marketing Professionals to help out with that side of the business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wise Marketing Professionals has helped me with LinkedIn marketing. More specifically, they’ve worked on the analytics and SEO, setting up a Google business page, and tying up my website. They’ve also worked on email marketing, creating campaigns, and helping me set up the CRM.

They’ve helped me create a year-long content calendar where we can go in there collaboratively and plan out my marketing schedule, specifically for LinkedIn, and create blog posts for my website. They created graphics and helped create the verbiage for me to post because I’m not a word expert and needed help with both of those areas. 

They’ve also helped me on the backend of my website, which is ongoing. I wish I could explain more of what they’ve done, but mostly I trust them to figure things out.

At first, I was looking to hire someone for the position that could give a POC. I thought it would be better to contract the work out just to see if there were any substantial things that I needed beyond using a contractor. But I had known Megan for several years through a friend, and we decided to work together because she checked all the boxes of what we needed. 

How much have you invested with them?

So far, it’s been in the $500 range.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in January 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As soon as we started engaging on LinkedIn, I went from zero followers to 250 in one month, and that was engaging 2-3 times a week. If I didn’t hit that three times, it was because of me and not because of Megan.

How did Wise Marketing Professionals perform from a project management standpoint?

We started meeting biweekly for planning because accountability was necessary to me, not only putting things on paper but also getting them done. 

I see Megan more as a specialist approval, but she's met all the deadlines when it comes to project management. Communication-wise, we’re very close, so it’s easy to contact her, and she’s kept me on track more than I have.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Wise Marketing Professionals are really efficient and trustworthy at their job. They speak the marketing language and have strong foundations in their niche, which has made me feel very comfortable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything to improve.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be ready for commitment because Wise Marketing Professionals will be ready. It’s the other person participating who has to work with them and make sure that everything gets done. Make sure you have the availability to help them perform at their best.

Maui Property is a boutique real estate brokerage in Maui, Hawaii. I’m the team leader and technology director. I take care of the technology needs for lead generation, SEO, site optimization, and other backend types of work. We’re a team of nine brokers, which includes a principal broker, me, and seven other real estate agents. I help generate buyer and seller leads, pass them to our agents, and encourage them to take these leads to a close.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wise Marketing Professionals?

I was trying to fine-tune Real Geeks CRM, the CRM we use that’s specifically designed for the real estate market. I was looking for the best management of our CRM so we could take our data, take our leads, and maximize our connection with them and nurture them. I was also trying to do a lot of other work. I reached out to Megan (Owner) for help with all our efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wise Marketing Professionals helps me connect a lot of dots and saves me a lot of time. They help me with training, CRM management, website integration, SEO, internal data display, documentation, graphics, and presentations I need for buyers and sellers.

I had previously launched our site, but it was built on an old platform. They helped me relaunch, rebrand, and put up a new website. When I need new pages built into our website, I give Megan the content, and she helps me build them in the most SEO-friendly way possible. She makes sure our meta tags, titles, graphics and everything else is there and looks good.

Wise Marketing Professionals also integrated MailChimp into our CRM. Megan handles the updates related to our business and to COVID-19. I write the content, and she hangs it all in MailChimp.

Recently, my main broker came out with a dozen edits he wanted to make to the website and to our SEO processes. I documented it, shared it with Megan, walked her through it, and she and her team are knocking it out.

Once a month we get together and talk about how we’re trending from organic traffic to paid search. We invest a good amount of money on PPC on Google and Bing. I use a different company for that, but I share the reports with Megan so she can correlate her work to what she sees in our Google Analytics. I give her full transparency so that she can make solid decisions.

I always go back to Megan if I need something. I might have an idea of how to do it, but instead of researching it and spending a lot of my time, I throw it at her and her team. I lay out a series of projects and Google documents, and I share them with Megan. Then, we have a call, talk through it, make sure she understands, and she disseminates those tasks to her team as needed. She always tells me if her team can handle the work or not. She knows where to find the answers to my requirements and provides me with options. We have a nice rapport.

How did you come to work with Wise Marketing Professionals?

I found Megan via a Facebook chat group. In this group, there were a lot of Real Geeks CRM users. There, they asked questions and shared information. Megan was one of the people sharing information because she had worked with clients that use that CRM too. I got in touch with her because she had experience in everything I was trying to accomplish and in a lot of the little niches in Real Geek CRM.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $7,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2020, when I originally launched our site. We’ve been working for over a year now, and everything’s been going really smoothly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything that Wise Marketing Professionals said they can do, they’ve done. Megan is very particular at saying when there’s something she can’t handle, and she tries to connect me with someone who can. She’s good at saying no to tasks she’s not comfortable doing, which is something I like. And on that note, she knows what she can handle and what she can do. If she’s not sure about a task, she first does some research and comes back to me with an answer.

The quality of Wise Marketing Professionals’ work is high, and the results are there. Some of the deliverables have been very nice. For example, she’s built templates in MailChimp and integrated our CRM with it. Those templates are for when we sell a house, have a new listing, and other property services we send to real estate agents in Maui to promote our work.

How did Wise Marketing Professionals perform from a project management standpoint?

All the projects we’ve undertaken with Wise Marketing Professionals have been completed to my satisfaction. I’m always happy and look forward to moving to the next project.

We really communicate well via phone, email, and WhatsApp messages, where we chat and exchange links and other resources.

In terms of timeframes, I provide the tasks’ list and ask them if they can get it done in the next 10–14 days. I’m not the kind of client that asks for tasks done immediately. I try not to pin Megan down on timelines. I rather ask her when she thinks she can get it done, and she’s true to that.

I don’t think she’s missed any goal, and she usually comes back with everything done in five days, even when I tell her that it can be done in two weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Megan knows Real Geeks CRM intimately. She knows the backend of it, how to create reports, how to help me manage our team within this exact CRM. She knows exactly what buttons to push and when. Her CRM expertise was the first connection between us.

She’s been very helpful with all these other real estate efforts as well, something that was previously on my shoulders. I will rather be selling and being with my teammates than building templates and digital marketing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I know her business is growing. I recently talked with her about video editing. We have some footage we want to show about our agents’ bio, property shoots, and other content like that. We want some basic video editing, like splicing the videos together and putting an intro and an outro. I asked her if her team could do that, and they’re working on it, potentially expanding their offering.

Any advice for potential customers?

Being a realtor, I’ve learned that the more you can communicate with someone and dialog in detail about what you exactly want, the better the result. A lot of people try to address an undefined project over the internet, and they end up getting involved in an endless email exchange trying to define it.

Overcommunicate with them, set calls, and send emails telling them what you need. Scope it out, and have a quick conversation to make sure you’re connecting. Once everything is crystal clear, let Megan set the dates. Everything will go from there and, hopefully, it’ll work for you.
