I’m a freelance web developer and I have several websites.

What challenge were you trying to address with Whiteserp?

I wanted to do internal linking between my three websites so that I could power all of them, so I reached out to Whiteserp.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Whiteserp began by auditing the SEO of my three websites. Once they did that, they undertook keyword research, conducted a competitor analysis, and analyzed and created backlinks. The team also took care of several things on my website so that it would rank well on search engine results, and did some guest post outreach.

They created content templates and provided 5–10 guidelines for the content writer, outlining keyword placements and topics. Whiteserp gave two monthly reports that contained a list of the backlinks created and the current rankings of the 20 keywords which they optimized.

There were two people involved, a project manager and an SEO lead.

How did you come to work with Whiteserp?

I had contacted a couple of SEO agencies out there who were charging between $800–$1,000 USD, which was way out of my budget. A friend of mine connected me to Whiteserp through LinkedI, where the team was well-known for hosting a couple of shows on SEO topics. They reached out to me and told me about their services, claiming they would only charge $400 USD. 

Most agencies don’t take the time to explain things. During our initial contact, I told them that I knew nothing about SEO and they took the time to walk me through the whole procedure. They even went into detail about how it could take time to get results, so this made me confident in choosing them.

How much have you invested with them?

Their price is $400 a month and I took a three-month retainer with them, which cost me $1,200.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February of 2020 and the project ended in March 2021. I’m currently not working with them because I have a few other projects on my hands right now. We’re planning on launching a new website in about three months, so they will be working on that.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of my websites wasn’t ranking because it was new, but within about three months of working with Whiteserp, I was able to rank on the first page of a Google search for my keywords. In six months, around 29 of my keywords got me on the first page, and within nine months, we had over 40,000 visitors. They did an amazing job and their results were very quick. Two of my friends are actually working with them now.

How did Whiteserp perform from a project management standpoint?

Whiteserp did great. We communicate through email, and whenever I’m free, I’ll get on a video call with them. The team took the time to explain everything and to address all my questions. They were very helpful. Other agencies would have charged up to $3,000 USD for this work and not have gotten close to what Whiteserp has produced.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with other agencies before who usually do not concentrate on one project because they have thousands of clients. I’ve always ended up feeling like the work is lagging behind. What I like about Whiteserp is that they contact me from time to time to ask for suggestions. We have phone calls just so that they can explain things to me or teach me about SEO. They basically provided better and more thorough services than others and at a way better price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Whiteserp should start an agency and add more web development and search engine marketing resources. They do some search engine marketing but it’s not really mentioned on their website. 

However, it’s good that they completely specialize in SEO and they know what they’re doing. Other agencies perhaps provide many services but end up not specialized in anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend them fully. They’re helpful, communicative, and produce results.
