Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We needed a team to advise on a tech stack, implement the architecture for a new online user platform, and design and develop back end components for the platform. The platform needed to integrate with our existing Shopify, Appsembler (Open edX), Hubspot, and amazon reseller environments. The team would also need to work with an external team who designed the UX and delivered the front-end elements (in html). Our chosen partner would need to work closely with the UX/UI team to ensure an efficient, reliable user experience. Deliverables: 

• Selection of modern, scalable, easy to manage tech stack 
• Design and development of infrastructure elements (user management, security, etc.) 
• Design, development, and maintenance of database and APIs to meet functionality needs of end users 
• Design and implementation of version control system to support production system separately from development and testing of new features/modules
• Support of external front-end team 
• Ongoing optimization of user experience (system performance) and our costs 
• Availability for team meetings and adherence to Agile process, engagement in JIRA 
• Development/accommodation for needed integrations 
• On-time, on-budget delivery of key milestones 
• Ongoing oversight of security and other key initiatives as they arise

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Wellomy team adds value well beyond just doing the work. They engage with good communication, flexibility, accountability, and respect for all participants. They consistently work hard to meet deadlines and recommend and find workable solutions to meet our needs. 

Outcomes: User platform (version 1) was deployed as desired by our CEO in April 2021 with subsequent major "releases" of various functionality components henceforth. We are happy with their ability to meet update time frames and advise on important infrastructure updates or additions that are needed. Their recommendations are always good and they discuss options/pros/cons as we move ahead with new initiatives.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Very flexible and responsive to our changing needs. The platform is a unique offering for life skills learning with curated and original materials. There were many questions heading into it regarding integrations needed and how they might work, etc., and occasionally the priorities shifted based on end-user feedback/benchmarks. 

The team handled it all very well, providing recommendations and accommodating sometimes competing ideas from our external UX/UI team. Items were delivered in reasonable times (considering some delays from the external team or challenges with the front-end code).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Professional, ver consultative approach when new initiatives are needed, very nice, accommodating team. Members from India to California make themselves available when needed! They are a joy to work with. They are focused always on solutions, not blame.
