The PIM is setup, running very robustly and reliable, i have been trained on the system and i have always super fast support for any issues. The client is super happy, and the workflow was just great.

The mode by which the project was managed was lovely, through an enterprise resource planning software where I can discuss & resolve arising issues with the team. Delivery time was also great, though it took a bit longer than expected, as perhaps testing took a bit longer than anticipated from my end. However, we're extremely satisfied with how prompt they are in resolving the issues we addressed. Usually, by the next morning, I receive the update with the issue resolved.

The fact that they are familiar with most (if not all) platforms, can always come up with solutions to requests made by clients, and have never declined any customization request due to complexity and such hints that their team is extremely capable and skilled.

We purchased a module from them for our website platform (cs-cart).

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Their reviews looked good - in hindsight, I can see that the majority of them were from staff posing as customers. But on paper, they looked like a solid, reputable company.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

OTP Plugin, meant to confirm client phone numbers using an OTP code. It never worked from the start even though it said that it was compatible with my version of CS-Cart. First time it would override the Customer Firstname and Lastname fields and make them Phone Number Fields.. so whenever a customer would try and sign up, or change his profile, their changes wouldnt pass validation because it wouldnt allow text to be put in for their name.

It forced them to use a phone number. After almost a money, they fixed that problem.. and then caused a 500 error (Service Unavailable) when the client is typing it the OTP code to verify. Their solution was to get my customers to make them a video of the problem so they could troubleshoot.... ... they wanted my customers.. to install screen recording software on their computer and then make a video.. so that they could fix it.

When I requested a refund (in accordance with their policy) they declined.. saying that they would fix the issue - if i got my customers to record videos.. they havent fixed it in a month and now their idea is to provide my clients with a poor user and customer experience so that they can compensate for webkul's imcompetence. Do not deal with these crooks.

There was no progress nor any success. When I finally had enough and asked for a refund, they refused.

Terrible. I will never deal with their company again.

There was nothing impressive or unique about Webkul. Fairly typical of a few of the tech companies I have worked with out of India. Poor programming and worse support. They promise you the world to get your money and once they have it, you're on your own.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honor their policies and provide a refund when requested. Reply sooner than 2-3 days each time and actually solve the issue.
