My organic traffic is up and my page placement has significantly increased. I’m between spots one and three on Google for 39 of our top 100 keywords. We are generating new leads coming in through our website quantitatively but also qualitatively as a result of the high-quality content on our site. We’re starting to see bigger corporations with bigger premiums come to us.

We communicate via email and phone and use Basecamp to track tasks. They’re very attentive. If they can’t take my call, they get back to me right away. I know they’re on top of things. They take a very structured approach and explain things well. I've always enjoyed working with their team.

We now rank higher in specific keywords, and from 2016 to 2017, sessions of organic traffic on our website have increased 294%. During that same timeframe, the transactions on our website have increased 73%, and overall revenue generated by the site has increased 87.5%.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very organized and come with creative strategies. They stay in regular contact and offer monthly reports on PPC and AdWords trends. Being an energy company, our peak time is the winter, so they remain mindful of tracking our progress and operating within our budget. They provide us with clear proposals and itemized services.

What separates them from other agencies we’ve worked with is the breadth of services they offer. They are experts in almost every field of digital marketing. We’re not utilizing them for one or two services. They have a wealth of knowledge of all different channels that go into making the project a success.

At first, we communicated mostly through emails and phone calls, but they obliged to our request to hold in-person meetings. We found it more valuable to go over all the information face-to-face.

Any advice for potential customers?

If possible, try to have somebody in-house that has a background in digital marketing. That makes the communication smoother when you’re working with PPC or SEO if somebody on your side has a background in those areas.

We gave them a list of keywords we wanted to focus on for SEO, and their consistent attention to those words allowed us to compare search rankings over time. As a result, we’re better able to reach government contractors, our key audience.

Overall, we've seen a dramatic improvement in the areas we needed to improve. Now we can take the next step and even better target our audience and have them visit our site and convert.

Project management has been exceptional. They lay out a plan for their work and track the activities and deliverables, which makes the process very transparent. They've given us access to their basecamp system so we can see the progress of ongoing activities. Since we started the partnership, we've also had weekly calls to discuss the project timeline and progress.

Everyone we've worked with is incredibly talented and proactive. The team strategizes well, provides quantifiable results, and has taken time to learn our business and our audience. As a result, they present valuable and informed suggestions for improvement.

Even though companies might have similar goals, make sure you communicate your group's specific end goals. We were very clear from the beginning that the improvements we wanted to implement were meant to specifically increase site traffic and our customer base, so in their performance reviews they always emphasize metrics and generated revenue.

Unlike other SEO companies, WebpageFX made it clear at the very beginning that their goal is to increase our sales and profitability, not just our traffic.

I prefer using other productivity suites to Basecamp. However, Luisa is in constant contact with me, so it's easy to keep up with her even without logging into Basecamp.

Our website ranks higher in Google searches and the number of leads is on the rise. Last month, 28 people submitted forms via our website, which was more than in previous months. In addition, we saw a 62% increase in visitors right after we launched the website.

I mostly communicate with them through Slack. We have a Slack channel for each entity, which keeps our process organized.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're open to feedback and try to meet all of our needs. I'm quite a difficult client and I ask them a lot of questions, but they're very accommodating. If they make a mistake, they're great at acknowledging it, making up for it, and putting together a plan to make sure it doesn't happen again. For example, when we wrapped up our first quarter, we had a couple of issues with a few posts that were linking to the wrong sites. After I expressed my concern, they put together a new action plan.

I would like the two people I work with to talk and strategize internally rather than expect me to talk to each of them separately.

There is nobody here who works on IT or anything that has to do with social media.
