We started working with Webclues Infotech in Oct 2019 wherein we were working on developing a booking platform for Web and Mobile devices. The original platform was developed by another agency, which needed further modifications. We were looking to make changes and more customisations. We outsourced the functions of UI/UX design, Front and backend development to the Webclues resources.

We researched online and had multiple discussions with agencies based in India. Finally we shortlisted Webclues and after discussions with the Founders and management, we decided to work with them. They had shared some projects from their portfolio which was the skillsets which we were looking for in our partners. They were flexible and understanding of our project requirements.

The scope of work for Webclues team was to support our project requirements, by offering the right skillset resources. For our main project, the SOW was to customise and update an On demand booking platform for Provider and Customers through Web & Mobile apps. The main technologies used were : React Native MongoDB

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Though the project is still ongoing, major customisation and changes have been done with the help of the resources from Webclues. The timelines have been stretched beyond the original timeline estimated which were a result of multiple delays from either side including technological compatibility issues in the originally developed solution.

The development team is flexible in taking up new changes in the midst of the project to make the final product better from UI/UX perspective.

The Webclues resources working on our project have been prompt and responsive to our queries. We collaborate through Basecamp, and communicate using Skype, Zoom and other social media channels.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Responsiveness of the team including management has been good, which is as expected.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Having been working with Webclues for over 11 months, we can say that they have been able to provide capable resources for the project requirements. Though we had originally expected the customisations to the project to finish in 5-6 months, it has been delayed beyond that duration.

Areas of improvement to Webclues management will be to review the project developments locally and not leave the client to check and give feedback. In some instances, simple bugs were identified, which could have been easily identified by the development team after every code deployment.

We do hotels and car rental bookings worldwide. Our company was founded in 2014. However, we started going online in 2015.

The Webclues was the first developer to complete our second project on time. Our first project is in Real Estate and Autos. This project is given to Canadian company in Edmonton, CANADA. The project is still under construction despite the company receives the payments on time and as schedule.

I would be happy to release the name of the company in Edmonton, CANADA once they deliver the project to us. Our company is based in Canada and in the Middle East. My role in the company is executive director and co founder.

We searched the internet and spent a lot of time looking for the right developer for our website. From our short list of developers, we decided to go with Webclues Info Tech to develop our website. We sent our proposal to Webclues Info Tech and after few calls; we signed the agreement with the co-founder Mr. Ayush.

During the project progress, we were in touched with the Webclues team on weekly basis. The project manger Mr. Tejas Vyas, the web designer Ms. Anshu, and the web developer Ms. Trupti.

One unique thing about Webclues is that the team is extremely fast in implementing the website functions and in responding to our comments and provides fast updates. We feel that they took our project very seriously.

To make things easy for you, who read our comments and review, we can put it this way: if someone asks us about our experience with Webclues, we can say, we had a wonderful experience and will not hesitate to go with Webclues for our next project.

We will also not hesitate to recommend them to others. It worth mentioning for comparison reason that we also have another different website project with other developer in Edmonton, Canada before we got know Webclues.

Therefore, we have enough experience to compare the work of Webclues with the work of other developer in Edmonton, who failed to deliver our website on time, failed to updates on time. As a result, the OTHER website is still under construction with the other website developer.

To summarize, we are happy and lucky to have Webclues Info Tech as our website developer for the following reasons:

1. The web designer Ms. Anshu is extremely smart and has an excellent eye for a design. She got our idea and read our mind from first call we made to her. We just like what she is doing for our website. Being a professor of Electrical Engineering at university level, I can grade her web design skill with a grade A++.
2. Mr. Tejas, with no exceptions, is very professional, easy to get alone with. His comments are very clear in his updates. We deal with him on weekly basis, very understanding and helpful.
3. Ms. Trupti, the web developer is extremely efficient, fast with a lot of passion for coding. Being a programmer myself in engineering, I can see how skilful she is in coding.

Their team cooperation and coordination throughout the project development.

yes, the QA team, in charge of testing the website functions, was not as great as the main team, who developed the website. May be, because there are many new functions, and hard to keep tract of these functions.

I believe we found them through the Bark.com website. We filled out a survey and then were matched with several service providers that were available to do the work.

We began by agreeing upon the price for development of the features in the application. WebClues Infotech held numerous phone calls and chats via WhatsApp and Basecamp in order to discuss what we'd like to see in the app now as well as in the future. They completed the initial development and the app has been released. We’re still working together to further develop our application.

We mainly work with two people on the development team, the lead developer and the QA manager. We communicate with the whole team via Basecamp if/when needed.

While the app is live, it is still in the process of being configured correctly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The WebClues Infotech team as a whole is very effective at working together. It’s occasionally difficult to communicate due to our different time zones. Aside from that, we’re very pleased with their attitude and the work they provide.

Communication can be tricky, but there aren't any barriers. Although we're awake at different times, they make an effort to combat that issue.

We have several legacy systems with a lot of overlap and it’s getting harder to add new features. In order to implement new functionalities, we needed to start over. We were looking for a partner to develop a new system from the ground up with an architecture that could better accommodate scaling.

The new solution had to support all of the functionality of the old system in addition to the new features.

We contacted many vendors and found two potential developers. WebClues Infotech was more proactive in their communication than the other agency. We appreciated their eagerness and ultimately chose them because we felt they were invested in our project.

We started the project by determining the scope, a set of user stories, and a list of descriptions explaining individual components. WebClues Infotech understood our goals and recommended solutions for a best practice approach. To create the new system, WebClues InfoTech started from the user stories, using the PHP framework in Laravel. Over time, they made additional improvements. We continue to add new ideas to the project scope.

We had a team of five for the first month of the project, but we soon expanded to a 10-person team. We have a project manager who acts as our direct point of contact, but we are free to communicate with the whole team. Every member we’ve interacted with is capable and talented.

Despite the slow workflow because of the integration work we’ve been doing ourselves, we can still see the benefits of the new functionality WebClues Infotech implemented. We are excited to continue with the integrations and start using the elements that have been completed.

I’m happy with their approach to project management. WebClues Infotech consistently communicates progress and updates. We mainly interact through Slack. We also use GitHub and Travis Cl to track development and building progress.

I appreciate their ongoing communication, it impressed me from the start. Now having worked with them for several months, I realize there are talented and well-versed in the most current technology. So far, it’s been a great experience.

I shared my idea and the WebClues team identified the proper platform to host it. They designed the entire website and UX/UI strategies to align with my desired brand and then provided frontend and backend development services. I worked with a previous partner prior to WebClues, but they were unable to handle the scope of the project, which required me to push back my launch date. In my search for a competent team of developers, I looked on Quora and contacted about six development houses. Ultimately, I chose WebClues.

We worked on the website from June 2017–May 2018, but they continue to provide support.

Given that this was WebClues’ first e-commerce project of this size and this level of complexity, they performed extremely well. They met each challenge and did the appropriate research to assure they were prepared for each task. As the website grows, we continue to rely on them heavily.

How did WebClues Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

There was a learning curve in the primary stages of the project due to some miscommunications about expectations, but once we handled that the rest of the project moved quickly. We communicated via Basecamp. The WebClues team was reasonable and receptive to our comments and feedback. They were willing to rework tasks if we weren’t happy with the initial work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their honesty and teamwork skills. WebClues was very committed to my project and they actively tried to understand my perspective. Our relationship was not purely commercial and transactional, they worked as part of my team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could scale up both their e-commerce and UX/UI design capabilities.

We were designing and developing the mobile application for the iOS and Android platforms, while also designing our brand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us design our brand logo and a UI and process flow for the application. They also coded, tested, and implemented it on the iOS and Android platforms, using PHP for the Android app.

What is the team composition?

We discussed commercial terms and general concerns with Ayush (Founder, WebClues) and they also assigned a technical project leader.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them almost two years ago. We’ve gone from idea to conception and delivery, and the engagement is still ongoing. We’re working on phase two of the project at the moment.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've helped us develop our concept, converting everything we came up with into requirements, developing them, and finally releasing the application, two years later. They’ve had a huge impact on the launch of our product.

How did WebClues perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve used an agile methodology—We had regular calls with them, either on a weekly or daily basis and they were responsive in resolving issues, understanding our priorities, and delivering a prototype. We primarily use Skype and Basecamp for communication, along with calls and emails.

They’ve kept us up-to-date and managed the project nicely, even though our collaboration’s been completely virtual. This is the best collaboration we've had with an offshore company. Our trust in them increases day by day, and we’re continuing this collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attitude and ability to understand client requirements. They’re courteous, always thinking about what is beneficial for the client, and always trying to add value to the client’s business. They thought through all the requirements we gave them and were good at brainstorming with us, determining whether our approach made sense.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're a young company, so they’ve learned with us as well. They’re quite good at design and development, but I think that they could improve in the testing area. There's also room for improvement on documentation, but we worked in agile, so it didn’t matter that much. They've been quite good overall.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

For someone just starting a business, without a clear idea of how to take the first step, and looking for affordable services that can add value, WebClues is a trustworthy option. They’re huge value-for-money for me and for anyone else looking to develop an application or a website.
