In addition to designing our website and our marketing materials for sponsors, advertisers, and social media, Watson Creative also created a new brand guide that includes logos, fonts, and color schemes. We initially shared our vision and goals and how we wanted to relate to our other events. Watson Creative came back with various logo ideas. Then, they went through the steps to refine their ideas until they came up with what we requested. We didn’t need to engage them for social media managing because we’d already gotten everything taken care of and trademarked. The website is for the NAI 15s event; they’re doing a house brand approach. The next project for Watson Creative will be the rebrand of our corporate site, but we’re currently focusing on the event site.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We know our content isn't driving the traffic; it's their template's look and feel. We track all of our website and social media traffic, and every time Watson Creative does a refresh, the tournament site's traffic will quickly increase by 40%–60%. Watson Creative creates the templates we use to put images in there dynamically, and we get good feedback on it. Overall, people like our website and social media.

We've established timelines.They only made one mistake, which we caused by making a stylistic alteration rather late in the process. But they stuck to the schedule after we made the adjustment. In the end, Watson Creative's adherence to a procedure is what makes them adept at project management. We discuss deliverables on weekly Zoom calls as a means of communication. They display to us the most recent deliverables together with any supplementary data. ClickUp is also used internally by them; we receive URLs to view particular images and approve content.

They strongly desired to assist us in creating the greatest venue for the competition. Nobody makes a living off of tournaments, so there isn't much demand. Still, Watson Creative spends more time ensuring everything is done right. They do their jobs really well.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Watson Creative could have done differently?
It's wonderful that they are enthusiastic about the project and will deliver a product that meets our expectations. However, on occasion, this has resulted in scope creep and a more difficult project than anticipated. It would have been really beneficial if you could have told when scope creep was occurring.

To have a deeper understanding of the industry, sector, and specific market segment we operate in, we conducted market research.The next step involved starting from scratch to create a website prototype.
One web component is presently during development. We haven't yet reached the later stages, but we will pass it off and put it into practice. They utilize a wide range of technologies internally, such as web pages, word documents, presentations, PDF files, JPEGs, and JPG files.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The reaction from within the firm, which is one of our most significant factors, has been incredibly good. Leadership appreciates the new home page and the way the overall web site works. People think it conveys the intended message and is tidy, effective, and appealing. They were able to achieve the ideal balance, preventing design from interfering with content.
In terms of metrics, our website gets many more eyeballs than it used to on our old site. Page views are up. Our headlines get more attention, and people stay longer on given pages. Their whole team has just been incredibly helpful and really efficient. They never sacrifice quality for the sake of expedience, which is really important to us.

We have weekly project status calls, but the majority of our communications were schedule in-person meetings, but those are much harder to arrange, just logistically speaking. They arrive with concepts and ideas and walk us through the whole design review process.

I essentially converted my consulting firm to an LLC and moved a large portion of our inventory online. They are now putting up Facebook advertising, funnels, and lists for the many goods we are introducing. In addition to making the lists, they market and sell the goods.

My primary goal was to obtain some traction by targeting a different audience with the same approach. I've been able to successfully reach that demographic, secure a ton of speaking events, and pick up a variety of clients. In addition, it has expanded internationally, which is something I never would have predicted. I was thrilled with what they produced. They have contributed a great deal.

After a very competitive RFP process, we chose Watson to help us meet a critically complex challenge: to create and express an inclusive, authentic identity for Oregon’s $7B wine segment to cultivate a singular, unified sense of pride, purpose, and direction for Oregon’s 1,000+ wineries and more than 1,400 wine grape growers—cementing Oregon’s place on the world’s wine stage.
The research, insights, positioning, and design that Watson delivered have exceeded our expectations. Not only does the work encompass a wide range of personalities, wine styles and regions, but it does so in a way that establishes Oregon’s “True Character” as the campaignable standard guiding Oregon’s wine community long into the future.
