They communicate every step of the way and liaise with you on the best way forward on the build and design. It was imperative that they design using the tech stack our internal team are familiar with, and they've done this with ease. Where a project may be delayed, they communicate on time and pull in additional resources where necessary.

We had to move our website hosting from the previous provider due to increased costs and lack of support. Warp Development presented us with their costing and service agreement and it was a no-brainer move for us. The migration was done with what seemed like almost no effort and our website was only down for a couple of minutes. The migration was done in less time and at a lower cost than planned and with no pain to me as the client.

The successful move of our hosting provider. Almost no down time during the migration. No sales were lost on our website as a result of the migration.

I am the co-founder of a new B2B payment gateway.

For what projects/services did your company hire Warp Development, and what were your goals?

Warp has been responsible for end to end development of our software product. From technical conceptualisation, design and development, front end and UX/UI as well as initial customer engagement. This is a particularly complex development project as financial services are never stand alone. As such the system requires the development of a core technology platform to be built as well as competence at working with and plugging in a number of ancillary, partnership and supplier technologies.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Warp's multi category, in house skills - from dev-ops, UX/UI, financial modelling and core tech stack development - were all required to complete this complex, multi-system project. This one stop shop services and skills in e-commerce, interface design and database management made it a no-brainer to work with Warp Development.

This project is now over two years in ongoing development, since inception phase, with a build out focus since early 2022. the type of business we run will require ongoing development and feature set augmentation and as such we expect the process to continue for the forceable future.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Warp has been involved in conceptualising as well as building out this technology business, from strategic consulting and end sales mapping right through the deep tech core platform, UI/UX and dev-ops management.

We have worked with a core team of 4 - two developers, one project manager and one executive CTO role - but we have had access to design, AWS management, marketing, e-commerce and a number of other skills in the business; which was core to our reason for working with this multi-skilled organisation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to roll out a beta version that was revenue generating from day 1! This has allowed us to build commercially from early on in the process. The skill level and delivery have far surpassed expectations and at an affordable overall cost that we could never have found anywhere else.

We spent a lot of time during the discovery phase to work together to map out this project, but from early 2022 Warp moved us over to their full project management process which was game changer for the speed and efficacy of the project and timeous delivery of phases of development.

The roadmap is clearly defined, tasks and micro tasks broken down for team members to execute on; and as such as a management team we are always aware of the progress of development. Regular stand-ups, of which we are a part, keep the project focussed and on track; but also provide for the requisite flexibility when a client needs a service or solution to be re-prioritised.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

While the technical expertise and intelligence of the management and team throughout are impressive - it is probably the down to earth, solutions oriented and business focussed approach of the company as a whole that makes them so easy and effective to work with. There are no egos in the way of progress, which feels unique and makes working together both productive and enjoyable.

We have had no complaints thus far - in over two years of planning and development of our technology based business.
