I’m the head of the IT department at a home appliances company.

What challenge were you trying to address with VOLSOFT Industry 4.0 & IoT Solutions?

We needed software development solutions for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

VOLSOFT is working on our digital Poke Yoke system. They've also created a solution for data visualization from the PRC on the assembly line where machinery operators can see and confirm the data on the screen in their area.

We’re producing washing machines on the assembly line. We need to correct some data; cables need to be installed, and if we don’t have a digital system, operators need to fix them because it might lead to human errors. So, having a digital strategy that collects the information from the PRC lets us visualize it, correct the data on the screens, and place the cables correctly on the washing machines.

Overall, they developed the software that gets the data from the PRC and displays it on a dashboard. It’s a custom application that includes a data monitoring system, cloud and PC server data storage, and visualization. We’re also getting automatic alters when we have incorrect information on the assembly line, which helps us reduce quality errors.

Currently, they're working on the platform's maintenance.

We've worked with three members of their team, including Volkan (Owner) and two developers. 

How did you come to work with VOLSOFT Industry 4.0 & IoT Solutions?

They came to us two years ago for another solution. We made a proof of concept with them that didn’t go through in the end, but their security level was very good and mature, so two years later, we decided to work with them when we needed help for this project. We talked to them about what we needed, and they sent us a proposal, which we agreed to.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around €10,000 (approximately $11,000 USD) with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re a global company, and while we did face some issues with VOLSOFT, they were able to overcome them. Their reaction to our problems was good, and they’re very productive and responsive whenever we need to get in touch. Additionally, their team has a proactive approach to our solutions.

How did VOLSOFT Industry 4.0 & IoT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They have good communication with us. In terms of tools, we use JIRA to define all tasks together. We also assign deadlines and responsibilities together through regular weekly meetings with them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They quickly prepared our security documents, which is outstanding. Bigger companies than VOLSOFT have taken about six months to a year to prepare the documents, but VOLSOFT has delivered them within three months. They’re hardworking and take care of us whenever we have security-related needs. We require a lot of documentation from our vendors, and it helps us define whether or not a company is mature enough from a security point of view, and VOLSOFT is.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have more senior developers on their team because their current developers are a bit junior still.

We recommend VOLSOFT to other companies!

we searched companies related with iot projects, we interwieved with them and decided to continuo witf volsoft

we have been working with Volsoft as a partner to monitoring all the dates and to build up an awareness system for our tea packaging machine. oee monitoring, machine stops, production details etc. is possible to see just in time on pc or with mobile application. the next step is e-learning and predictive maintenance system development from collected continuous machine data and ERP entegration. after completing this project we will dissemination for all machines.

A project responsible has been our main contact. There are also 3 team members working as developer. Main responsible, key contact is the most important. It may be developed in my opinion

now we are project result controlling step. we have no problems by now. only small improvements are added to results

relationship between teams is very high and on time.

They are very open to new ideas and challenging requests.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

it may be good to develop on main contact team member as a consumer relationship, especially top level manager presentation this is a very important point to convince them.

I’m the Marketing Manager at Favori LLC. We’re part of a group of companies—that includes retail, wholesale construction, building materials, and textiles—and we focus on ground handling for airport management companies

What challenge were you trying to address with VOLSOFT?

We were looking at opportunities in African markets. We needed help with a service project for an airport in Mogadishu, Somalia.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They installed our departure control systems (DCS) for the airport and worked on our flight information display system (FIDS). They also installed an IoT system for machinery.

They flew to us in Somalia and managed everything for us. They stayed about three weeks in Mogadishu. They checked all the things that we were using and created the solutions for them. They prepared the systems according to our needs. When they finished the solutions, we tested everything together for a week before they left. We keep touch with them in case we face any issues or need updates.

We worked with a project manager and three other team members.

How did you come to work with VOLSOFT?

We heard their names mentioned in the market, checked their website, and called them. We explained what kind of solution we needed and they responded immediately with what they could do for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–July 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had problems with check-in, for example, that the system would double book a seat. The problems we faced before—such as with check-in wherein the system would double book a seat—have been resolved. There are around 300,000 passengers per year and 45-50 flights per day. Everything is working effectively.

How did VOLSOFT perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re quite happy with them. They are available 24/7. Anytime we need help, they can help us via mobile, email, or WhatsApp conversation.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with how they were able to create solutions for us. We’re happy with their services and their direction. The system works very well and ensures passengers are on time. The ground time looks perfect.

We’re really impressed with their services and their team. They’re very skilled people. When we get projects from other airports, we’ll work with them again.
