I wanted authentic story telling, nothing scripted or too formal. I wanted a series of videos of clients sharing their experience about working with me, in order to give future clients an idea of what the process of a photoshoot is like.

Chris Ryan met with me to plan out the video shoot. I selected 4 clients to arrive at my photo studio at a specific day. Chris worked with them to coach them about what to say and how to present themselves on camera. He was prepared with specific questions and prompts to get these clients to talk in a way that came across effortless and natural.

They all loved how easy Chris Ryan made the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I have a series of professional videos on my website, of my clients sharing about their experience with me. My website designer told me I needed these videos to help my website convert leads into sales, and my website does just that!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow process was smooth and didn't require a lot of work on my end. Ryan Video Productions handled all the logistics before, during and after the video shoot.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am very impressed by Chris Ryan's experience in the workplace. He's not a flashy, trend-driven videographer without substance, hire Ryan Video Productions when you want professional, polished and top-notch video quality and professionalism on set.

The Friends of Daley Ranch (FODR) is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the city-owned Daley Ranch preserve in Escondido, California. I am a long-time FODR board member and former board president, and I've been leading our school field trip program for many years.

We hired Ryan Video Productions to film and edit an educational 21-video series called "The Daley Ranch Connections".

What were your goals for this project?

When the COVID pandemic made our annual hosting of a day-long field trip, for all 7th grade students in the Escondido Union School District (EUSD), an impossibility this year, we were determined to find a meaningful alternative educational opportunity for them. To that end, we decided to create a "virtual field trip" that would replicate the various learning stations that students would have experienced, had they been able to visit the ranch in person this year.

How did you select Ryan Video Productions?

After researching several possible videographers, and being impressed with Ryan Video Productions website, work samples and testimonials, we emailed them. Chris Ryan was quick and thorough in his kind responses, leading us to the next step of a remote meeting via zoom to discuss our project. That remote consultation went extremely well, and resulted in our knowing that Ryan Video Productions was the one for us.

After the initial remote consultation, we set up a meeting that included Ryan Video Productions and the entire cast of our planned video series. This was very advantageous to all for several reasons. First, it provided an opportunity to have all participants become acquainted as we collectively discussed overarching goals and expectations for the entire project, in addition to each individual's role. Second, Chris was able to offer his professional expertise to put all of our presenters at ease regarding the video production process that was to be undertaken. This was especially welcomed in that none of the presenters were "professional" actors. Questions and advice came easily, and was both welcomed and well-received. A detailed two-week production calendar was created. The 2+ weeks of filming allowed us to directly experience Chris's talents as a videographer. They were exceptional. In the following weeks, we realized that his editing skills were equally as impressive, and led to a finished product of which we're all enormously proud.

Throughout the process, Ryan Video Productions was all we could have hoped for, and more. The professionalism of Chris and Cyn was evident throughout our project. Not only did they excel in their filming of our video segments, they also captured some great drone footage, and still photos that greatly enhanced the project. Chris is an excellent communicator and kept everyone informed, and involved, every step of the way. His advice and collaboration during the editing was also exemplary. He sent us videos to review, sought our feedback, and offered creative suggestions and enhancements that truly added to the quality and consistency needed across all of the 21 videos in our series.

The video series just made its debut this week, and we're very happy to say that the reviews have been outstanding so far!

One of our nonprofit clients required an 90 second explainer video that would be featured on their website homepage along with a series of video testimonials that would be featured in a multi faceted marketing campaign.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal for the explainer video was to craft the video story such that the 'talent' (who in this case were members of the nonprofit and possessing no on-camera experience) would be comfortable and well coached to be able to deliver a compelling message.

SOLUTION

How did you select Ryan Video Productions?

We evaluated a number of vendor options with various price ranges, and after interviewing RVP it was clear they would have the skill to not only produce a great video, but also had that critical empathic skill that would allow our members to deliver their best on camera.

Somehow, RVP created a very calm and relaxing setting inside a noisy athletic club. They wisely started by simply engaging in a conversation with each member. This calm interview process instantly put the members at ease, and magically they were able to elicit all the answers they would need in post production to be able to build the explainer video, as well as the testimonials. Brilliant.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

An unexpected plus in working with RVP was the deliberate and thoughtful touch point messaging, which kept us abreast of every step along the project and what to expect next.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was a total success and the cost came in right at budget. We hired RVP again a few months later to complete an even larger video project in lieu of COVID.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Seamless. Our account manager with RVP was very skilled at communicating project steps and milestones, plus working with our team closely on any concerns or changes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It sounds cliche, but they really care about the ultimate success of the project.

Can't think of one that was in their control. They really exceeded our expectations on all levels.

Ryan Video Productions created a video for Clear Water Landscapes to be used online to showcase their work, stand out from their competition, and integrate into their overall social media strategy, advertising and website.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a polished and professional 1-minute video showcasing the landscaper's work with photographic examples as well as a voice over describing what they do. The primary use was for social media and their website. Ultimately, the landscaper wanted a beautiful video that they could use for online advertising to engage more prospects and gain new leads. All goals were achieved and all stakeholders were very happy with the end result.

SOLUTION

How did you select Ryan Video Productions?

Chris Ryan and I are both members of the local Chamber of Commerce and have worked on various committees together and became familiar with each other's work over the years. I admired Chris Ryan's work as well as his professionalism and expertise. Although there are other videographers in my local area, Chris was highly recommended by other Chamber members that have worked with him so it was an easy decision to select him for this project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The project scope involved first interviewing the landscaper to get to know them and capture some sound bites for the call to action. In addition, it was critical to create a storyboard and script that both the landscaper and I reviewed for accuracy. We had minimal changes because Chris captured the essence of what was required. Chris then captured video clips onsite at one of the landscaper's current jobs and then coupled the video footage with stills that were provided. Chris effectively organized every aspect of the project and brought it together beautifully in a colorful and sharp .mp4 format.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Chris Ryan was our main point of contact and we did not have contact with anyone else. He took the time to understand every aspect of the project on the front end which really showed in the finished product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final video was uploaded to the landscaper's website and various social media platforms and immediately had a significant amount of engagement compared to other content they have posted. The video was then converted into an ad which achieved both significant brand awareness and leads. The landscaper was very pleased with the end result and expressed that they have needed a video like that for a long time but kept putting it off because they didn't know anyone that could help them. They were so impressed with Chris' work and were excited to finally have a beautiful video to showcase their work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The overall project management was very effective with just the right combination of proactiveness and responsiveness. Chris effectively managed expectations by reiterating the project goals and ensuring all stakeholders were apprised of next steps and the status throughout the entire project. Communication was handled via in person meetings, emails and phone conversations. 

The entire process was streamlined and we only had a few rounds of review that required minimal changes. The voice over came out great the first time and the only changes we made were updating some of the photos. Overall, we were very pleased with the ease at which the project came together thanks to Chris' project management experience.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ryan Video Productions is professional, responsive, and very customer-service oriented. I appreciate that Chris Ryan takes the time up front to clearly understand what is needed, manages expectations throughout the project and delivers quality work. Chris stands out among other vendors I've worked with since he is very conscientious and customer -service focused.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The end result was exactly what all stakeholders hoped for. Had we had more time, we would have worked with Chris on alternate versions (such as shorter and longer) and included things like customer testimonials and additional before and after photos.

I’m a very new businessperson and I wanted an introductory video to put on my website.

They created a two-minute interview style video for my site where they asked me a series of questions. They shot art that was on display, too.

I met them through mutual contacts. I saw his other work and was really impressed with him.

Our work took place in April 2020.

The video is already. live, and people love it. They noted that Ryan Video Productions captured me, my essence, and who I am in the business. It’s a very heartful video. They were so good at pulling the information out of me that I wanted to get to. They gave great direction and videography. They serve the community well, and it was a fabulous experience.

We mainly communicated via email and phone.

The team really care and it shows. They make an effort to get to know their clients and give them exactly what they’re asking for.

The Vista Chamber of Commerce is a membership driven organization focusing on raising visibility within our business community to our members. I am the Member & Community Engagement Director.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ryan Video Productions?

Chis Ryan was hired to help with a large community fundraising gala in filming/editing and overall polishing videos to showcase all of the nominees and winners.

What were your goals for this project?

The overall goal with Ryan Video Production's help was to create a set of professional, short, informative videos that would give the viewing audience a good idea why the companies/individuals were nominated. After the gala, the video were provided to each of the nominees and winners to use as they wish. The Chamber was able to push out these videos using various social media formats to raise visibility to the community as to what kinds of thing we do and what great people we have in our community.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

The Vista Chamber has known of Ryan Video Productions thorough other Chambers and organizations in our community. There were several other companies to choose from, but the clear choice was to go with Ryan Video. The CEO, another board member and myself appreciate Chris's hard work, promptness and suggestions given. We are a non-profit, he worked around our budget.

There was a meeting before the production began to get ideas and thoughts clear on how we wanted the videos to look and what the time frame was. Once the nominees were chosen and the video filming was scheduled, Chris oversaw the video filming and gave tips and instruction on the set-up of the lighting, camera, as well as interviewing ideas that were most appreciated and used. I interviewed the nominees along with a camera operator.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Chris Ryan is a hands on - one man show. He participated in the first meeting, came to the filming of the videos, and gave feedback throughout as he saw was appropriate to assure we would get the polished product requested - and needed - for each video.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Everyone was pleased with the finished videos. Just what the Chamber requested from the first meeting. The CEO and board members were all impressed. There evening is a fundraiser and runs long, but with the help from Chris, the videos were short, to the point and got across all the information for the attendees to really care about who was about to be awarded the next "Hero of Vista".

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The videos were completed on time, with early cuts sent over to the office for approval before all the videos were done to keep cohesiveness in the project. No further instructions needed. Chris has a trained eye as to what will work and what is needed to make a point come across.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As stated before Chris is a pro. He has a great eye and does not need to be babysat. He is confident, more than able, a joy to work with from start to finish.
