I'm the business development manager for a health tech company. We provide a cardiovascular disease prevention program based on the latest in genomics & precision medicine to employee populations.

Our program is really innovative on the market and we need to develop engaging, informative content to explain how the program works and promote it. We hired Verstiuk Production to produce a custom video for us which we can use with prospective clients to show how the program works and highlight its main benefits.

We were looking for creative video production companies with experience in healthcare.

We started with a discovery call and moved forward every step of the way. They drafted the script and sent it for review. They sent us requests for approval and feedback along every step (storyboard, illustration, voiceover). Once they had confirmation from us, they moved forward to the next step up through final production.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Ira, Account Manager, and Vadym, project manager. Once a stage of the process was completed, Vadym contacted me via email to ask for feedback. His response was always timely and effectively addressed my questions and comments.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is a bit early to describe outcomes, but the video produced by Verstiuk has certainly enriched our webpage for the program it promotes and provided us with high quality, educational content we can use to promote the program.

Vadym communicated with me via email, as per my request, and always replied in timely, thorough manner. He used Boords to share storyboard and illustration production and receive feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were were very thorough and professional from start to finish. They listened to all feedback and made changes straight away. Their follow up communication was effective and never bothersome.The video was beautiful and creative and met all our objectives.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only possible thing that comes to mind is the price, but I think the quality they produce is aligned with the slightly high price point.

I’m the CEO of an organization that produces x-ray products. We’re going by a different brand and are going in a new direction. 

We’re also developing a new, complex product which hospitals can use to store and transport emergency medication, supplies, and equipment. The creation of this product was necessitated by numerous problems around the management of hospital crash carts and emergency events — problems that are underappreciated but span multiple departments in a healthcare institution.

What challenge were you trying to address with Verstiuk Production?

Even though our company has been around for a very long time, our latest brand and product are very brand new. No one else out there has streamlined the whole emergency care process in a way that is beneficial to hospitals like we have, so the challenge that we were facing was trying to sell a product that nobody has ever heard of.

We reached out to Verstiuk to develop an animated explainer video that could show the value of our product and the problems that it solves without the need for a demonstration.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The proposal was actually the first deliverable that we required from Verstiuk. They created a structured process from the proposal all the way down to the delivery stage. We proceeded to carry out that process and began by filling out a questionnaire to give them information about what we do and what we were trying to accomplish. From that questionnaire, Verstiuk drafted a storyboard, script, and illustrations.

The team broke down the project into multiple stages to help facilitate the brainstorming process and the delivery. At each stage, we had the opportunity to make revisions.  

What is the team composition?

They have an account manager on the sales side who was involved in the pre-proposal process. We were then passed to their internal project manager who led the actual development of the animated video

How did you come to work with Verstiuk Production?

One of Verstiuk’s account managers reached out to me through LinkedIn. Seeing their proposal and drafts gave us confidence that they understood what we were doing and were be a low-risk vendor to go with, so we entered into a contract. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together between July–August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It's too early to completely understand the impact of their work since it was just completed last week. However, I will say that it already helps us tell our story way better. Employees and potential customers whom we’ve shown the video to have given really good feedback about it. 

How did Verstiuk Production perform from a project management standpoint?

All of our communication was done through email and I never had to wait for anything. The team is based in a different country, but they always got back to me the following day. They were responsive to my suggestions and we're not only quick to make adjustments but we're also effective in interpreting what I was asking for.

The Verstiuk team worked really fast. Every single stage of the project was completed earlier than expected. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did a great job of underpromising and over-delivering.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they exceeded my expectations and I was really happy with the decision to go with them.

It’s on you, as the customer, to give thoughtful feedback on Verstiuk’s work to help them fulfill the project to its fullest potential.

The company "Heinrich Wild, Werkstätte für Feinmechanik und Optik" was founded in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, on 26 April, 1921. Over the decades, this company developed into the world-renowned Leica Geosystems AG and is an essential component of the Hexagon technology group.

And Heerbrugg is continuing to add further chapters to its history of innovation. The challenge was to pack 100 years of history into a short compact video of a max of 4 min without losing the key message. And, if this was not enough, create an additional even shorter version of 1min

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have already worked with this vendor before. Their deliverables have always been in line with our requests. They are fast, uncomplicated, perfect project management, and flexible. They are always looking for the ideal solution giving valuable suggestions and proactive advice.

We had a first meeting where we gave our initial idea of what the outcome should be. Based on that, they came back with initial suggestions, ideas and guided us through the process. They set up timelines/milestones and expectations also towards us for them to deliver the project on time. This was very valuable as time was tight.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with a project manager (Vadym) who outlined the project and kept us on schedule. We were kept on track for every milestone. Furthermore, we gave feedback via InVision, discussed if something was not 100% clear and continued to the next milestone. We always felt perfectly guided.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The feedback we receive is great. The video/animation brings the key message to the audience and tells our history, present and future in such a simple and understandable way that it has become the "Welcome-intro" to so many opening ceremonies, exhibitions, customer meetings etc.

Very easy to communicate with, providing frequent and short updates. If there was something they needed to change, amend or add, we were informed straight away.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our initial brief was not extensive. We overwhelmed them with so much content and they managed to work their way through making suggestions. They wrote a fantastic storyboard which brought everything to the point.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They did an impressive job and I just want them to keep on going as they already do.

I’m the CEO of a visual studio that produces visuals for the healthcare and medicine fields.

What challenge were you trying to address with Verstiuk Production?
We outsource our animations to Verstiuk Production. We had a medical animation to do for a client and tasked them to handle it for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
We explained the animation project to them, and Verstiuk Production gave us a quote for the work. After signing a contract, they asked questions to get the information they needed to fulfill the project. My studio did some collaboration on the script with the client. When the script was final, we did the storyboarding and gave Verstiuk Production the voiceover.

They took the art assets from those storyboard files and animated them according to the voiceover. Then, their team sent a rough cut of the animation. I provided my own feedback as well as the client’s feedback to them, and they made the necessary revisions. There were 1–2 rounds of revisions and then the animation was complete.

What is the team composition?
I corresponded with a project manager. There was one animator but I’m not sure if there were others behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Verstiuk Production?
I found Verstiuk Production through Upwork, went to their website, and contacted them through their site. I liked their portfolio. They appeared to have some experience with medical and healthcare topics. It’s not their specialty, but based on their portfolio, it seemed like they were willing to take on those topics.

How much have you invested in them?
We invested around $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in early November 2020 and was completed at the end of March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The end client was very happy with the animation. The client said they were pleasantly surprised by the refinement and attention to detail in the animation and that the team at Verstiuk is an absolute pleasure to work with.

Verstiuk Production did the whole process, but because we’re a visual studio, we collaborated on certain parts. We did all of the artwork at our studio. Our team sent Verstiuk Production the artwork, and then they made the animations move. They’re very good at what they do.

There were very few revisions to the animation or the movement in the video which was a good sign that Verstiuk Production does great animation in the rough cut. Additionally, there were very few changes that had to be made in the revised version.

How did Verstiuk Production perform from a project management standpoint?
They were easy to work with and took artistic direction very well. Their team also provided their expertise on what works well in terms of animation. It was a great give-and-take partnership because they did everything they could to fulfill our requests.

Verstiuk Production has the knowledge and confidence in their own abilities to say if something will or won’t work. In the end, the final product was the beneficiary of their expertise. We typically communicated through email but did have a few video calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?
We were most impressed with the high quality of natural movement in their animations.

Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing in particular. Every company has areas to improve on, but I wouldn’t necessarily be critical. Our studio specializes in visuals for healthcare and medicine, so my team and I have more expertise than the average studio in those topics. I have high expectations as far as the accuracy of scientific content, and that’s the area where I provide the most direction.

As far as what Verstiuk Production claims to be and the services that they advertise, they were excellent. I challenged them with the content I gave them, and they were very open to feedback and learning. They tried to get all of the scientific content correct so I don’t have any complaints.

We hired the team to support us with the production of an animation. The main goal is that we wanted to create a dynamic, visual representation of a new software release.

We were recommended to use the team through a colleague at Leica Geosystems who used them before, saying that their work is excellent!

We started the briefing with a storyboard and sent it to Vadym and Stanislav. The project was fully assigned to Vadym and he had only a few questions relating to the information we shared before starting with the animation illustrations. I was able to review all the illustrations provided in a timely manner to provide Vadym with areas that needed to be slightly changed. We only communicated via email because the information provided was thorough and the information back from Vadym was just as thorough.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked directly with Vadym and I can honestly say he was amazing to work with! He kept me up to date on all steps of the process and understood very quickly what we needed. In fact, the animation production was so perfect that we didn't even to need to make changes after receiving the first draft.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I shared the animation with various stakeholders in my company and they love it! Officially we release the animation to the public on the 10th May so I cannot wait to see the reaction from our customers. Overall, the animation has surpassed expectations from our stakeholders and we now plan to work on a second animation!

Vadym was great to work with! He is professional, polite and friendly and executed this project perfectly. I cannot praise enough how good it was to work with him.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They took the time to read the brief, understand it and ask questions. We accompanied the brief with some short videos to show how our software works because explaining it can be difficult and Vadym took the time to review everything I shared with him to make his consultancy on the project seamless.

I think I have no comments for this section because everything they have done (from invoicing to production) has been perfect for me.

The frame by frame example of the video was developed and a few edits were made for approval. The illustrations were sent for my approval and then it was all assembled into the video which needed only a few timing edits and was ready

They sent through scripts, color boards, illustrations, voiceovers all for feedback and approval. I was able to make changes every step of the way until the video was how I liked it

We are still prior to launching this - but the acceptance among our stakeholders is really high. So we are already happy with what we have achieved.
