Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder and CEO of a Calgary based local marketing agency and we provide web design and digital marketing services to our clients in the USA and Canada.

Bookkeeping, Corporate/Business Accounting, GST Filings, Year-end Corporate filings and tax planning as well as personal income tax.

What were your goals for this engagement?

To ensure that I proper bookkeeping, accounting and tax planning and to have all my filings and reporting on time, save on taxes and maximize my tax returns.

I came across them through a referral from a friend and once they were able to help with my situation, I stayed with them.

My previous accountant did not do proper bookkeeping nor did he file taxes on time. I was behind on my taxes and I was being penalized for late GST and corporate filings by CRA.

Fortunately, I found Versatile Accounting and Karim Bharwani, the CPA, helped me out and was able to get reimbursement for the penalties paid. Since then they have been doing corporate accounting and personal income tax for my entire family.

I pay them periodically as per their invoices and annually for my corporate and personal tax filings.
