I'm the CEO of an energy management optimisation company, currently based in Bulgaria.

For what projects/services did your company hire Childish, and what were your goals?

We were looking for a strategic partner to join us in our adventure to change the way businesses manage their energy flows (both consumption and generation). We decided to avoid investments in the early beginning because we wanted to focus on our product as much as possible. Therefore, we were looking for a partner that could understand our limited resources at start but rather believe in our solution and help us out to deliver MVP. This is how we ended up with hands shaked with Childish who helped us not only for the software development part but also product-wise.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Bulgaria is a small market. Childish was easy to find as a trusted software development partner to many already. Our connection was established from the first meeting, although we met with 4 different other vendors. The deciding factor was clear understanding of our needs.

Childish helped us to develop our Python-based MVP for energy management. The communication was on point and every part of efficient project was completed (i.e. brainstorming, clear workflow, timely delivery, follow-up on fixes, etc.).

We worked directly with Childish's Managing Partner and 2 other developers (Senior and Junior Backend developers).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We managed to finalize the MVP on time to seek for necessary investments to continue working on our ultimate goal to dominate the EU market with our solution.

We communicated through Jira, Github, chats, calls - everything necessary to deliver our work. I personally enjoy such project management style instead of strictly set one.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They care.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have discussed with them minor set backs and they are already cleared out, so nothing to add here for now.

We are a secondary marketplace for travel reservations - like eBay for flights and holidays. Founded in 2016, we have a team of 6 and offices in London and Bulgaria. I am the CEO.

To build a new and improved version of the old site.

How did you select this vendor?

A recommendation from a colleague. We considered 5 other bids but Childish offered the best terms and timeframes.

They designed and developed a new site. They made helpful suggestions for improvements and were very responsive. The work was carried out in 2 or 3-week sprints. They were very responsive and nothing was ever a problem.

The project team consisted of three people.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Childish created a much better website than what we had previously. They made helpful suggestions and thought about every detail and how it fits with the bigger picture. Their team displayed excellent product-management.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had one project manager with which we had regular calls.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their attention to detail, superb-lever knowledge, and initiative were impressive. Also, half of their profits go to help orphans in Bulgaria!!

None, we were very happy with the service and the results and will become regulars.
