The scope of work for Varmeta was to act as a technical partner from Arkhai's early days, providing support and contributing to the technical infrastructure necessary to launch Arkhai's platform—one of the world's first cybernetic economies. This infrastructure is designed to fuel agentic power, allowing AI agents to autonomously negotiate deals, exchange resources (compute, energy, data), and execute complex smart-contract agreements.

 
Key Deliverables:

Technical Infrastructure: Development and contribution to the foundational technical systems for the cybernetic economy.

Alkahest Suite: Delivery of the initial release of Alkahest, a suite of programmable marketplace primitives.

Marketplace Building Blocks: Implementation of core components enabling new machine-to-machine marketplaces, including: Escrow smart contracts with Boolean logic, Recursive arbitration mechanisms and Modular, composable market design.

Deployment of SDKs in three distinct programming languages: TypeScript, Rust, and Python. This provides developers with concrete tools to immediately begin creating new types of machine-to-machine marketplaces.
Implementation of Core Primitives, specifically:

Operational escrow smart contracts with Boolean logic.

Functional recursive arbitration capabilities.

A system that supports modular, composable market design.

The platform's mere existence and launch, supported by Varmeta's technical infrastructure contribution, allows for the immediate creation of new marketplaces, ranging from clearinghouses to atomic asset exchanges, serving as the measurable prerequisite for the future scaling of agentic commerce.
