We engaged Valere on two fronts - the first was user expereince and design. This invovled working with product owners and users to develop wireframes that capture all the appropriate use flows is a well thought out way. The second was on a handful of GenAI POCs which invovled backend and front end development and interacting with LLMs and Vector stores to deliver chat bots

Currently in the design and development phase. Valere has met timelines and delivered the design and product visioning within the projected parameters and outline they have provided.

Project management has been handled well.The project lead was really good at communicating the timeline and benchmarks to be hit. If a deliverable was going to be late, they communicated that ahead of time, and they were never majorly delayed. They were flexible and adaptable to what I felt was important to the project.

They have a friendly team that's honest and transparent about what they're able to provide unique and innovative ideas, and they are willing to assist in shaping the product from the ground up.

They became increasingly willing to make bigger changes to the working team. This change was slow to be made but once they saw the underperformance, they leaned in to switch teams internally.

In what ways can they improve?

Really lean in to fix things at the first complaint. The last project manager I worked with was great.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Switch teams at the first signs of trouble, like project misunderstanding or need to do major rescope. Also, request working with existing experienced teams.

This is a massive project with custom code. A social media feed and functionality. We have a movie review section where you can customize your score and pick the categories you are scoring. We also have a video sharing aspect as well as picture uploading and live streaming. They handled all of that.

With Valere you get daily and weekly updates of your product. You see all the changes being made; you know exactly where your money is going. You get break downs of how long certain aspects of the product will take. Your product is demoed to you every week to show the updates. It's incredible.

There is not a single day where you won't get a response from your team or someone at Valere. You got a question? They'll have answers, and quick. At the beginning of your time with them, they'll tell you when certain parts of your project will be done, and they hit every beat. Their project management skills are incredibly impressive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They care. Plain and simple, my project is all about making movies available everywhere for cheap. They believed in our product and really wanted to be the ones developing it. Hearing such passion from people who just learned about your ideas makes for a great working relationship. Valere really cares about its clients, and you can feel it.

In some teams the communication is not as great as others, but with a conversation about it, the problem goes away really quickly.

We found Valere through review research online. After chatting with their sales team and learning about the process, we felt confident and comfortable hiring them.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at price initially (it was our first app project ever). However, after our conversations, we realized that the end goal of the project. Their expertise was more important than a price target.

Developed admin and user portals, developed the mechanics for ordering and acceptance, built 3rd party integration for photography deposits.

We worked with their sales team, a UX consultant that helped design the layout, and then their software team abroad that did the actual building.

The app is launched and working for our business! Works great.

we used a series of Google excel sheets to track deliverables and milestones, which we covered weekly when the development team abroad presented progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They understood the scope of the project and also how to iterate the long-term vision into a closer step that launched the app without going incredibly over-budget.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would have liked the UX developer and original advisors to be a bit more hands on during the creation process. There were moments during our weekly calls where I would talk to a developer about something very technical that I had no understanding of. Having the original team in the US help us cross that language barrier, provide input for solutions, and guide us more would have been helpful. Regardless, it was really good and the end result was fantastic.

Valere Labs is building our website from scratch using React. We started the partnership with an initial discussion about our requirements, where we also provided them with design mock-ups they can implement in the architecture of the product.

So far, the web app that Valere Labs is developing is performing exceptionally and it’s very accurate to the requirements we initially set up.

They perform well from a project management perspective, and we mainly communicate through screen share calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their commitment to delivering accurate and comprehensive work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The first iterations on their deliverables are sometimes of poor quality, so they could maybe improve their process without us having to fix them on our end just to meet the requirements properly.

My general advice when working with a service provider is to provide them with as much information as possible, in order to garner better results.
