I’m the co-founder of a sustainable living startup called Nudge Limited.

What challenge were you trying to address with uxpros?

We essentially employed uxpros to help us develop the user flow and create a tangible experience for the average user.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially conceptualized what we wanted to achieve on the next level, and a lot of their work had to do with the interpretation of my sketches and ideas to improve our beta app — that in itself was already complicated, given the level of complexity of the app.

We essentially hired them to rebrand Nudj into a more sophisticated app, and they then went on to redesign our website and all its content.

They used Figma as their main development platform.

What is the team composition?

William (Creative Director) was our main point of contact, and we also worked with Lydia (UX Lead). They were amazing to work with, and were always available and responsive.

How did you come to work with uxpros?

I had several conversations with a series of agencies, and that’s how I met William. Prior to onboarding his team, he was the most forthcoming and most realistic in terms of timescales, as well as the most competitively priced. Other than that, they were extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and positive, and those are the factors that caught my attention immediately.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a little over $10,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–August 2021. We concluded the additional contracts they delivered, but we’re looking to get them to do additional work for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

What they were able to do with just a handful of conversations and the materials we provided was simply amazing.

How did uxpros perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional and responsive in terms of timing. They were able to deliver their tasks even when we threw them a few curveballs in terms of developing and designing additional components. The website ended up being a bit of an addition to the scope, but they were very reasonable when it came to the quotes, so we were able to get below the average rate for that.

We typically communicated through Clutch.

What did you find most impressive about them?

With regards to their ability to design, we were extremely impressed with the quality of their work and thought that they exceeded our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really respect William and his team, so I don’t have any gripes with their work. They’re by far, the best company we’ve ever worked with in terms of app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team at uxpros designed my application, website, and marketing & branding materials. They also helped with product development, putting me in touch with the developer to build my app. Their team assisted with my pitch desk design and format. They also helped me put together my financials.

What is the team composition?

I have one primary contact, but I’ve been in touch with three other people throughout the process.

How did you come to work with uxpros?

A family friend recommended uxpros. They used them for design services too.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve paid $28,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our contract with them in July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team at uxpros is impeccable. Everything that’s been done has been of the best quality. If there are any issues, they’re fixed immediately. They’ve exceeded my expectations in every way.

How did uxpros perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate through Slack and phone calls. They’re perfect at meeting deadlines. For the actual project, they’ve used Figma, AdobeXD, and InVision.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I felt that it was very familial. My primary contact is always trying to guide me and not make me spend more money.

This is the first app that I’ve ever had designed. If I had edits, it was always his belief that it was going to be perfect. I’ve learned a lot, but they’ve also made my life significantly easier.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Work with them 100%.

What were your goals for this project?

Modern and innovative design to ensure product adoption and ease of use.

How did you select this vendor?

Will was referred to us through a trusted mutual connection.

Will got right to work by collecting input from me and the rest of the leadership team. He listened for understanding and took it all in. He quickly turned out concepts for review and refinement. He impressed me with his ability to “get it” quickly and product high quality work.

Will followed our sprint planning process and met deadlines. He collaborated with the team and built strong rapport. The results was a completed design, ready to pass to the development team.

What was the team composition?

The total team is about 25 people with those directly involved in this project around 10. Will led the design effort while also managing another designer. He was point for all things design related. He worked effectively with the development and leadership team, with multiple points of direction and feedback.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website redesign resulted in improved analytics across the board. The backend admin work was completed but has not yet been moved to production. I am confident his design work on the admin piece will result in similarly strong metrics and positive user feedback.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective and leveraged a Slack channel, video conferences, static weekly updates, and of course impromptu updates and clarification to ensure effective communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Will (UI/UX) immediately proved himself through his demonstrated talent, trustworthiness, and dynamic personality. His passion for the work and deep desire to create the best possible outcome was obvious from the start and was demonstrated throughout the project. I would strongly recommend Will and would not hesitate to include him in future projects.

To help us improve the UI/UX of our SaaS software.

What were your goals for this project?

To improve the usability and experience of our software for our clients resulting in increased sales and client retention.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Found them through a web search and started with some small work to test the skill and ability to deliver.

Describe the project in detail.

We met regularly to iterate on design concepts for various areas of the software. Our R&D team were involved in these discussions. Our whole team collaborated on the concepts which were then turned over to R&D to develop.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of executive stakeholders from our company, Product Management, UI/UX design, and R&D.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Several concept designs were created. These were shown to end users and internal team members for feedback. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and little changes were needed to move the concepts forward.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Good workflow of meeting twice weekly and communicating via Slack in between.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have the ability to quickly understand our client personas, their business problems, and create designs that provided solutions to those problems.

Better note taking and follow-up with checklists of deliverables would have been helpful.

UX pros was responsible for designing a complete end-to-end experience for the customer segment and use cases we defined.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Overwhelming exciting for the direction and validation that the newly designed experience was an improvement over current processes.

Excellent. We used slack to communicate and UX Pros was able to jump directly in to specific channels to move the project forward.

Their quick turnaround of iterations really helped us make improvements in a predictably.
