We’re JBJ supply, and we sell all kinds of security products online. I’m the head of the IT department, which means that I wear a few different hats. I help the team decide what type of spending we're going to have in terms of digital advertising — whether it's PPC or organic SEO. 

Moreover, I tell the team what type of products we're going to promote and what type of budget is good to spend. My bosses approve the actual spending and sign off on the checks, but I run our online operation on other channels, such as Amazon, Walmart, and our website. 

I also work with other teams to get products online and resolve whatever errors there might be. The team works with me to fill orders when things go wrong — we put out fires.

We wanted to see an increase in our organic SEO experience. Our team has dealt with many SEO companies over the years, but their actions weren’t geared toward our business model. They failed to deliver the results we were looking for; those teams spent a lot of hours working for us, but the results we received at the end of the day weren’t helpful. 

In other words, we had a lot of frustration with quite a lot of SEO companies. As a result, we sought out another company that could bring more success to the table — success, not just attempts at success. We wanted a team that could help us and was transparent, pleasant to deal with, and able to deliver results. That was why we engaged Upper Ranks.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Upper Ranks helped us with our link-building campaign. We discussed which parts of the plan we could go with and which parts wouldn’t help us make a lot of money. The team told us what to do and gave us advice on what to change. The content writing they did was off-site. 

Moreover, their resources helped us with the organic category structure of our website, telling us what should be changed and moved around. They told us how we could rebuild the site to maximize our exposure and get us the results we needed.

Our company definitely saw better rankings. We were able to link that directly to the campaigns that Upper Ranks ran for us and the links they built. Obviously, this increased our revenue and bottom line — that was the most important feature of our engagement since what we were looking for at the end of the day was more money in our pockets.

I didn’t have a problem with them in terms of overspending, and I was happy about that. I primarily communicated with them via email, but we also had a lot of time talking over the phone.

Upper Ranks was transparent and a pleasure to work with; they were a breath of fresh air for our company and me.

We were pretty much satisfied with their services. The only thing that could be improved would be their price since they were expensive. To be fair, we’d hired more expensive teams than them before.

Do your research, look at other companies, and compare them with Upper Ranks. See if you’ll get the same type of personal attention that we received from them. I don’t think you’ll find that elsewhere.
