I’m an executive of Dome Capital LLC, a real estate company. We enable users to co-invest in high-value assets, allowing them to become fractional property owners and earn passive income without traditional loans or high-interest fees.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Type B?

Our development had stalled with a prior team. We were no longer seeing effective progress, and we felt that adequate customer care was not being provided. Additionally, the prior team was not cost-effective. We had to develop three web portals and a cross-platform app, and the prior team had only completed one of these to about 65%. We wanted Type B to come in and help us with the rebranding of the application, understand the major requirements, and complete the development. We also needed to meet SEC guidelines to get our RegA+ status, so we needed help with that.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Type B provided product and project management, front-end development in Next.js and React Native, back-end development in NestJS and GraphQL, and infrastructure on AWS. They also incorporated Plaid, Stytch, DocuSign, and other integrations. Moreover, they delivered Figma designs for the brand and the overall UX/UI of the application and marketing site. Additionally, they supported us in meeting requirements for the SEC filing for RegA+ status.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The fact that we got RegA+ status through the SEC and were ready to launch the product was a success. Moreover, we saved about 30%–40% in cost.

Type B delivered on time and was very methodical and effective. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Type B provided great leadership, problem-solving, and focus at a great cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We ran into some blockers due to regulatory requirements that were unique to the SEC. Seeing those in advance would have been good.

I am the Co-Founder of EventBook. We provide AI-powered solutions to enable smarter event planning and better business management for vendors in the arts, entertainment, and music industry.

EventBook was purchasing the technology of an existing company, Afterwork. The goal was to assess the existing technology, understand any limitations and vulnerabilities, and compare it against our desired roadmap. We also needed a refresh of the brand, a new marketing website, and the development of many new features for the product, including product management, design, and development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The main deliverables were: 1. An audit report of the existing technology 2. A roadmap for the development of the technology to meet the desired end-state 3. Brand definition and marketing website 4. Product UX/UI design 5. AI integration into the product 6. Product software development and testing All of these were handled directly by Type B.

The Beta was launched, users signed up, and the marketing site went live. During the Beta, we had actual users that gave us feedback. The feedback was more qualitative, as we did not track other specific metrics.

Type B was very well organized and thorough. They delivered on time with very clear and effective communication.

Type B's professionalism and ability to work with limited supervision from my side were most impressive.

Things could have been better if we had defined a clearer roadmap up front, but this was not their fault.

Type B’s delivery of our logo and brand kit has been a measurable outcome. Customer adoption, system stability, and continuing usage have also been important outcomes. Over three dozen B2B users signed up for our app upon launching our MVP, and we initiated our first enterprise pilot because of Type B's development work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At the end of the project I was given an app demo that made me not only confident about the project and my goals, but gave me something to walk into a meeting with something to display as my ideal final product for the phase I was in. I learned an immense amount working with Type B, felt a bond develop, and established confidence in my project through our work. I felt the team gave me everything they had.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Every meeting, my needs were exceeded. In the one instance it felt like our joint ideas hit a wall, the team took a week to reconvene and they came back and blew every expectation out of the water again. Deliverables were on time. Communication was clear. Their scheduling was flexible but always timely.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their genuine interest in the work that we did together was impressive. The ability to predict needs and provide solutions before they were asked. The high level of understanding of my direction, and cohesion to turn that into a working model between their separate skill sets.

To speak on "improvement" I'd be nitpicking. Everything was great.
