1. A list of core competencies for each of the five (5) positions

6. An overarching Compensation Strategy that notes the organization’s philosophy and approach to compensation management

We're a growing business and needed help hiring new teammates. We wanted to hire an HR expert, but didn't want to bring on someone in-house, so we hired Tulloch Consulting.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tulloch Consulting helps us with recruitment and onboarding and manages our day-to-day HR operations. We provide them with information on the jobs we need to fill that they then use to help us develop a complete job description. Sometimes the jobs are more technical, so we have to spell out exactly what skills we're looking for and Tulloch Consulting helps us create competency tests. Once the job description is finalized, Tulloch Consulting posts it on different job boards and vets candidates. They then send qualified candidates to our in-house leadership to interview.

In addition to recruitment, Tulloch Consulting has helped us develop employee policies and an employee handbook. They work in tandem with our lawyers to create HR manuals for our new hires and existing internal teammates. Tulloch Consulting uses Freshteam for all of our HR needs.

The candidates Tulloch Consulting provide are fantastic; the quality of their candidates is constantly evolving. They've saved us a lot of time because I no longer have to spend countless hours searching for qualified candidates. For example, Tulloch Consulting has helped us recruit an HR assistant to liaison with their team. 

How did Tulloch Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Tulloch Consulting is very responsive to our Slack messages — we share a Slack workspace. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tulloch Consulting has a lot of recruitment and HR experience and has gotten to know our company and needs. They always present us with the best options for conflict resolution based on each incident's context. Tulloch Consulting's team is excellent at running our HR department. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish Tulloch Consulting would help us develop our company's structure a little more.

Their process starts with an associate who’ll create the job description, and we’ll work with them to let them know what we’re looking for.

They’ll then do research on the market value of a position and once we decide on the pay range and requirements, they would post it on a specific channel depending on where we’re trying to get professionals.

Our main point of contact is Dawn (Lead Consultant), but we also work with at least 5 members of their team.

Our partnership started in November 2020. Our client hired full-time HR representatives, but we’re still looking to continue our collaboration.

There were approximately 4 staff members who assisted throughout the process.

With the help of Tulloch, we hired 5 new staff. Job postings were created for 6 positions.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We met weekly for updates. When unable to meet Tulloch provided email updates. Their team also worked closely with some members of our senior management team and there would be other calls or check-ins as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They found great connections for job postings and were able to get relevant applicants. They were quick in setting up interviews and meeting with candidates. Their invoicing was very fair and not overpriced.
