This video project is an annual video that our organization does with Torch. This year, it included interviewing, filming, and editing for a testimonial/programmatic video featuring three alumnae from our non-profit. This video included b-roll video that was taken by Torch, as well as video that was provided by the interviewees. Additionally, Torch provided a closed captioning option as well as three vignette videos highlighting the individual stories of each interviewee.

The creation of a video that is both inspirational and informational to be shown at our annual gala and beyond.

Torch Media is our primary production partner, providing us with b-roll videography and photography services, including a portrait station for industry events. They also deploy their own equipment for on-site production and post-production for audio and video editing.

We start each project by discussing the flow of each video and collaborating on the script and storyboard — after finalizing the scope, they take over the entire production phase.

Torch oversaw production for the nonprofit organization's event on June 6, 2022. Following the event the team put together a recap and also prior to the event the team create 2 sizzle reels that were shared with agents/players.

The nonprofit organization has a good working relationship with Torch so we leaned into it for this event.

We provided Torch with the objectives and goals of the videos (sizzle and recap). From there, they reviewed the shot list and agreed that everything was understood. On event day, the team arrived promptly and was ready to capture footage. Everyone was open to on-going feedback and direction as it was coming in from specific spots.

Once the event ended, within a week the first draft of the recap was shared with the client. This was the agreed upon turnaround time. Again, feedback was shared and Torch adjusted to provide the final version.

We were able to share the video through various outlets and channels. All enjoyed the video and felt that it captured the excitement of the event.

All were easy to communicate with leading up to, during and post-event. They provided feedback based on experience and knowing the natural direction of production. Overall it was a good experience.

We hired Torch Media to shoot high def b-roll of each gallery in the You Select exhibition after it opened, and record interviews of museum staff and community members. Our goals with this project were to promote the exhibition and educate the public on the themes featured in each gallery.

We've worked with Torch Media in the past and they have always produced high quality content for us. The deciding factor was our trust in their process and product.

This exhibition tour was filmed over one day with Torch Media, then edited in house. We worked with Torch to coordinate prior to the shoot and handoff the footage afterwards.

We worked with Rob and Brooke to coordinate prior to the shoot. We sent them our outline and they asked us production questions in advance. We then worked with Trevr and Max to film at the museum. Since this project was videography only and we edited in house, there was no feedback process after the shoot.

Each video received hundreds of views on our various social media channels and we received positive feedback on the video series form the public as well as colleagues within our organization.

First, I developed a script for Torch media to use. I think gathered our talent. The fire department, ambulance crew, high school where the shooting was going to take place as well as some teachers and students. Torch then provided us with a production schedule. They arrived and completed production with 7 hours. After filming was complete, they provided us with music options as well as a rough cut. I made edits and we had a final project with 2 months of filming.

Rob - very responsive to production questions and easy to work with. Matt- worked around the crazy schedule of fire and EMS and was very patient in the filming process. Brook - answered any logistical questions is a timely manner.

This video has been a huge success. Our students absolutely love the video and it great to provide something that has local people in it.

I am the Communications Director for the Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research. The Ludeman Center is dedicated to furthering women's health and sex differences research at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

For what projects/services did your company hire Torch Media, and what were your goals?

We worked with Torch Media on our annual fundraising event. This event hosts nearly 800 people and a nationally-known keynote speaker. We asked Torch to record the entire event as well as produce a programmatic video that was featured at the event. The video was appox. 5 minutes long and was used to demonstrate the importance of our work. We also use this video throughout the year to promote the center.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have worked with Torch previously and they are absolutely incredible. I knew I wanted to work with them again this year. Several years ago, Torch was recommended to me and I have used them ever since.

We started with an initial conversation about what our goals were. I then put together an outline with the people who would be participating in the video. Torch then put together interview questions since this was an interview heavy video. I coordinated with Torch staff to create a schedule for filming that was done over 2.5 days. Once we were done filming, Torch put together an initial video for review. We reviewed it 2 or 3 times and then it was finished. It was a very streamlined process.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with a coordinator for scheduling and then Matt for creative direction. I enjoyed working with the whole crew on film days. The feedback process was very easy. We used Vimeo to give feedback. I think we did 2 or 3 rounds of edits. Each were very easy and streamlined.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We showed the video to our audience at the Annual Community Event. This year, more than 600 people viewed the video in person. We also have plans to use the video in our online marketing efforts to launch this month. I think it was very successful overall. The feedback from those who have seen the video has been overwhelmingly positive.

We did most of our communication through video. The quote and timeline was very straightforward. I did like receiving the call sheet before the film days. It helped make sure we were all on the same page. It was also easy to reach people if I had a quick question - I could call or text. It was also good to have Trevr meet me on campus to scout locations. I think that helped make the film days even better and we were able to figure out the look and feel of what we wanted.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Torch is just top-notch. The process of working with them is really easy and the products are always incredible. Every time I work with Torch, I know that they will produce an incredible final product that is in line with my vision. They are creative and have all the tools to get any project done. I don't think they have ever said no to an idea - they always figure out what we are looking for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

To get the most creative product possible, it might have been nice to do an initial brainstorming session. But considering we had a pretty clear idea of what we were after based on previous years, it was fine that we didn't.

We have a medical client that wanted to promote their services and wanted to use actual patients' success stories to tell the story of their great service. Torch was hired to film each patient and tell the patient's story for each person. This was done over several months and in multiple locations.

The client is super happy with the final commercials and there has been a 20% increase of online engagement and in phone calls

Their entire team was easy to work with and they made the long shooting days go by quick while keeping on schedule. And it was very impressive how they were able to move all their equipment to multiple locations in the same day.

These guys are young and are still building their brand. I'm sure there's always room for improvement but I don't have any that come to mind from the project we recently completed.
