I am the owner of a media strategy, placement, and damage control communications agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tomic Communications?

We needed a partner to work with us on different areas of research and placement for some of our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Over the years we’ve worked together, they have served as a consultant providing research and advice, as well as a more direct contributor in securing placements for auction houses, movies, books, and a wide array of other clients that I’ve had as well as to my own business. They have had some direct involvement in journalistic writing and pitching to magazines when needed as well.

What is the team composition?

I partner directly with Charlotte (Owner) for all of the work.

How did you come to work with Tomic Communications?

When I was referred to her, I did a little research and was extremely impressed from the start. She has a very impressive resume, and when we spoke in person the chemistry was there, so we decided to start working together.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration started in 2014 and has been ongoing on a variety of projects ever since.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have been absolutely 100% satisfied with everything we’ve done together. If I wasn’t, the industry is quite competitive so it wouldn’t be hard to move on, but I’ve never even considered it because she really is among the best of the best. Some of my own clients interact with her regularly and I am always completely confident about how those interactions will reflect on me.

She is also an outstanding writer and editor, which makes her a good base to bounce any idea or work product off of when we need input. Her specialties include Jewish culture, media, and politics, all of which she is very strong on, and she has ties in New York and Florida in particular that are very helpful when working with clients in those areas.

How did Tomic Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

The projects are always easy for me to manage because I know that I can count on her to meet any deadline or any task that we are relying on her for. I’ve never once in our relationship had to ask her for a deliverable or even wonder when it was going to be finished.

My clients who work with her only ever have the best of things to say, and more often than not include her in their comments when asking about my availability for new projects. We have a similar work ethic and as a result, our communication and collaboration have been flawless.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If a client is looking for experience, sophistication, and analytical thinking, especially in the field of politics or history but also as a generalist, she has the depth of skill and knowledge to really excel. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone, and that is truly rare.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only way I can think her service could possibly be improved is if she cloned herself and worked on twice as many of our projects. I really don’t have any criticisms.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As long as you’re ready to put in the effort it takes to keep up with as hard a worker as she is, you’re going to have an extremely successful partnership.

We have used Tomic Communications for a variety of media relations projects over the last five years including getting media to attend and cover events at the college as well as ongoing pitching of relevant topics to obtain media coverage.

Charlotte has helped me numerous times over many years. We were looking for a way to support our community after the tragedy in Surfside.

She had a creative idea to partner with NAMI and we are hosting a retreat and fundraiser.
