Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project was about updating some of the business processes behind the gathering and presentation of data for the Corporate Human RIghts Benchmark (covering 100 companies) and a related project on Renewable Energy & Human RIghts Benchmark (covering 30). It was necessary to create a "current" year database and keep copies by previous years when previously each year was a different dated database. The scoring rules to create the final score had to be moved from an Access database into SQL Azure triggers and the business logic maintained, and in some cases developed. There was also a number of new features created such as checking that weblinks were still live and feeding back cases that needed review to the researchers. And there were data quality checks that needed to be created. We also explored various models using Power BI to help analyse the database and improve the review of data as researchers entered the data into SQL Azure via SQL Spreads in Excel.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Calculate and report exact expected scoring methodology

Success in the (tight) timescales for transitioning the scoring frameworks to SQL Azure which meant the research project could meet it's overall (very immovable) delivery deadlines to the World Benchmarking Alliance

Generate text output, tested for accuracy and readability

Very organised; tight turnarounds; and willing to make time available to meet project needs on our end. Also strong on planning and giving feedback on what could realistically be done in a particular time window and how we might prioritize particular tasks with that in mind.

They provided a very strong technical knowledge in the areas in which we needed it and considerable flexibility in deploying that knowledge in the transformation of an existing project both in terms of thinking through solutions and balancing our work with other projects at their end

I'm not sure we could have asked for more on this project
