Scope of Work

Tennis provided Drupal web development and technical integration support to help connect our website with our new CRM system. Their scope included stepping in late in the project to assess the Drupal-side requirements, troubleshoot integration needs, and support the technical work required to ensure the website and CRM could function together properly.

Key Deliverables

Tennis helped deliver the Drupal development support needed to complete the website-to-CRM connection, including reviewing the existing website setup, identifying what was required to support the integration, implementing the necessary Drupal-side updates, and assisting with testing and issue resolution. They worked quickly and professionally within a very tight timeline, helping us move the project across the finish line at a critical stage. Their support was instrumental in ensuring our website was properly connected to the new CRM system and ready for launch.

The measurable success was that the website was connected to the new CRM system, the project continued moving toward launch, and our team had the technical support needed at a critical point in the implementation.

What impressed us most was Tennis’s ability to step in at a critical point, quickly understand the technical requirements, and immediately add value. They joined the project on a very tight timeline and brought a calm, professional, solutions-focused approach that helped move the work forward when we needed it most.

Their responsiveness, Drupal expertise, and willingness to jump in late in the process made them stand out. They were not only technically capable, but also collaborative and easy to work with, which made a significant difference during a high-pressure stage of the project.

There are no significant areas for improvement that stand out. Tennis stepped in at a critical point in the project, worked quickly, and delivered exactly what we needed within a very tight timeline. What challenge were you trying to address with Tennis?

We wanted to stand out and be unique. We also wanted to provide an experience to our clients and our team that was fun, inviting, professional, and forward-looking.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tennis provided online and in-person experience consulting and execution for several of our campaigns and events. The team learned about our audience and created something novel and trendy that would engage the audience and increase our interaction with prospective and existing customers.

Tennis delivered a merchandise ideation website with a novel search capability. The team also created and managed displays and experiences at our live events, such as a virtual reality experience and a live interactive education wall.

Tennis was referred to me during my time at Staples Promotional Products by our then head of marketing. We chose Tennis because they understood our goals.

We worked with Tennis over several years across multiple projects. The projects finished a few years ago.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We gave Tennis the goal of increasing engagement with our branded merchandise customers and positioning our brand as forward-thinking. We measured success quantitatively by the number of quotes produced from the online tool they created and from the qualitative feedback we got from participants at our events.

We noticed a lot of anecdotal engagement and feedback from clients praising Tennis' events and efforts. The clients thought the experiences were cool, novel, interesting, and engaging, which provided a favorable response to our brand efforts.

How did Tennis perform from a project management standpoint?

Tennis' project management was always professional, timely, and transparent. We communicated via calls, emails, meetings, and demos.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by Tennis' understanding of our goals. The team took great personal care to make the project successful. We could tell they took personal pride in their work.

We needed an agency to support a design team of one to define the UX strategy for our products, help with establishing processes for prototyping and user testing, as well as assist in executing on visual design and art direction as needed on a rapidly evolving product offering.

• Uncovered 4 distinct personas of users that we could drive product features around.
• Validated the feasibilty of several new features utilizing high-fidelity prototypes, significantly reducing delivery timelines by upto 50%.
• Provided art direction for design system development that contributed to a unified user experience in less than 3 months.

I’m the communications director of a non-profit organization that supports youth mental health and youth homelessness.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tennis?

We needed to update our website, so we hired Tennis to fix a few functional and visual items.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tennis has worked on two projects for us and is now on a retainer project. The team has created an interactive map and updated key programs and their functionality throughout the website. They’ve also fixed poor work from a previous developer and ensured a cleaner backend. 

For the interactive map, it wasn’t connected to the programs we support, and it took many steps to connect it. Tennis changed all the coding and created a map that allowed users to better view where we support and the program details. 

Additionally, the team has done quality assessments, training, and built a map SVG. They’ve also created a homepage pop-up for specific content, specifically videos. 

For the quality assessment and training, Tennis has created walkthrough videos that visually show how to use the website independently once the project is handed over. The team has also provided virtual training and Q&A. The QA is for post-launch support and warranty, KPIs, bugs, and staging environment setup.

We’ve worked with four teammates from Tennis. 

How did you come to work with Tennis?

We worked with a graphic design company that connected us to Tennis when we were looking to update our website. The team was highly recommended. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Tennis in November 2024, and the first project was completed in early 2025. We engaged in another project, and now we have a third ongoing project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When viewing the final project, we’ve seen usability from people and positive comments from the audience. The website looks great, and people love the features. 

How did Tennis perform from a project management standpoint?

Tennis’ project management is great. The team is fast to respond and thorough. They’re respectful and patient, understanding that we don’t have a developer or coding background. We receive status updates and visual tangible updates along the way. For example, they’ve set up a test environment in staged mode for us to ensure it works exactly as needed.  We primarily communicated through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d like to give a shout-out to their developer, who genuinely cares about a quality project. Tennis’ communication and collaboration process is thorough and clear. The team provides a lot of support and ensures we’re happy prior to passing off the final product. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Tennis on multiple projects, and their team has consistently been supportive, thorough, and attentive to our needs. The developer (Nicolas) we worked with is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient, always taking the time to walk us through the process clearly

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Tennis provided more visual support in suggesting improvements.

Be patient and understanding that things may take time.

Dave: I’m the manager of communications for a nonprofit organization. We represent a growing national network of industry professionals dedicated to strengthening the ornamental horticulture sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tennis?

Dave: We needed experts for our website redesign project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dave: Tennis handled the full redesign and rebuild of our website, including UX design, development, and content integration. They delivered a flexible, CMS-compatible platform and coordinated directly with our team throughout the project. The process included clear change request protocols, contingency planning, and support documentation. We retain full ownership of the final deliverables, and they provide a 90-day warranty post-launch.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three to four people from Tennis.

How did you come to work with Tennis?

Dave: I found them through a cold call I almost didn’t take. They had the best answers and understood the association space. They also won the tendering process, which included an evaluation grid.

How much have you invested with them?

Dave: The total project budget was approximately $90,000 CAD (around $66,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Dave: The project officially began with the agreement dated December 13, 2023. The launch took place on June 2, 2025, and we’re still working out a few kinks and providing backend training to the in-house staff.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Dave: We set out to build a better, smarter website — one that reflected our national role and made it easier for members to find what they need. Tennis delivered on that. We’ve got a clean, modern design, a CMS we can manage ourselves, and a structure that supports all our programs and campaigns in one place.

We’ve been delighted with the new site, and the feedback has backed that up. Internally, the team loves how much easier it is to make updates without needing to call for help every time. From members and partners, we’ve heard the site feels cleaner, more modern, and way easier to navigate. It finally reflects the scope of what we do, and it’s made a real difference in how people interact with our programs and resources.

How did Tennis perform from a project management standpoint?

Dave: Tennis was solid on project management from start to finish. They kept things on track, communicated clearly, and adapted quickly when we needed to shift priorities or clarify direction. Expectations were well-managed, and the whole process felt organized and collaborative. It was clear they had experience with complex builds like ours, and they delivered exactly what we needed. We primarily communicated via email and Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dave: What stood out most about working with Tennis was just how sharp they are. They know their stuff. Every question we threw at them, they had a clear, thoughtful answer. Nothing rattled them. They were helpful and friendly throughout the process, and their approach was incredibly organized. Their process is solid, and it enabled the whole project to move forward smoothly, even when we encountered the inevitable curveballs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Dave: If there’s one thing we might’ve wished for, it’s that a few parts of the project could’ve moved a bit faster. Tennis was thorough and detail-oriented, and that level of care shows in the final product. We’d take quality over speed any day.
