We wanted to expand our reach and a platform that would be both user-friendly as well as easy-to-go for our side. The platform should also complement our day-to-day business.

I knew Ankit before and that there is a company Techugo. We’ve checked their portfolio and for a comparison, I also contacted other companies. Among all the proposals that I got their proposal had the correct balance of the detailing, time and cost.

Initially, we just had an idea of an application to order food. But Techugo showed us the vast possibilities where we can work and be a stand-out from our competition. They are our technology partner and completely worked the same. We’ve discussed multiple scenarios, use-cases and the detailing in which those discussions happened were fabulous for both the customer and Admin.
We’ve had an initial launch and the way Techugo has helped after the launch to review and enhance the entire product was fabulous. We’ve discussed the enhancements in SOW and the team has implemented them in the already live product. The key deliverables are customer and captain Android mobile applications and a web admin panel.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They are really involved in the product. Even though we had to go out of scope for a few things but even though, we worked smoothly and always focused on our end goal. We’ve also faced a hard time because of the pandemic, but when things started to get back to normal, the team has started the work again from where it was halted.

From the initial analysis to the release, I’ve always seen the preciseness in project management. They listened to what we wanted to do and we were always given the best possible solutions. Sometimes, we countered the solution, and reasons were mentioned to us to take that particular solution. I would say that the entire process from start was very smooth.
Even though, if there were some delays, then they were mentioned in prior and the team worked on weekends also to get the work done in time.

We selected them because we were already working with them on another project (Sterkla Coaching App) and we have enjoyed an incredibly working partnership. It was a no-brainer to continue our association with Techugo. They are so pleasant, reliable and ethical.

We supplied them with the screen designs and met to discuss the framework of the project. They are great at quickly understanding the requirements and offering ideas and suggestions. Once they understood the requirements, they began the project and executed it really well.

Our primary point of contact with Abhinav Gupta - Project Manager, and then he liaise directly with the development team.

This project is still in beta phase, and we are soon to launch version 1. We have had incredible feedback from those who took part in the beta testing. The comments were around the clean and simple to use UI. Techugo added attention to detail, with great little animations on the buttons etc.

They communicate very effectively, and I find that they are able to understand the requirements quickly. Skype and whatsapp calls are mainly used for communication, supplemented by emails and google sheet for bug reporting.

I really can't think of anything worth mentioning. If you are involved in your own project and you give them the space to offer suggestions and ideas, they are incredibly committed and motivated.

What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We had an idea for a platform where people could connect with others related to activities they were passionate about. For example, if a user was into cooking, this person could display their cooking skills and have the opportunity to be hired by a restaurant.
We had already started advertising our business in the market, and we had good traction, but we were using WhatsApp groups and Instagram for our purpose. Thus, I wanted to create an application for our business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, we just had an idea, so we discussed it with Techugo, and they helped us develop our app. With this app, people are now able to get connected with their passion. It allows people to display their talents, connect with others, book meetings, and more. For example, if someone is a guitarist, they can find a band to join through the platform.
What is the team composition?
I’ve been primarily in contact with a project manager and another person from Techugo, but we’ve worked with around 10 people in total.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I sent requests to different companies, searched on Clutch, and got in touch with several companies, but I decided to go with Techugo. Their creativity was something that attracted me to them. They showed me a few designs to demonstrate their creativity, and they made good suggestions, which also made me feel that they would be the best option.
One of the most important requirements for this project was the design, which is why it took me some time to choose the best partner. I really wanted someone creative. Although my idea wasn’t new, the creative aspect was important for me, and it was non-negotiable.

We’ve spent around $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in April 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. The first phase has already been completed, but my partner has more ideas for features to add. We will add those features and then go live.

Techugo has considered my project their own, which is one of the reasons we’ve stuck with them and want to take the project forward. They are really doing a good job.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
Initially, I was involved a lot in the project, but now I’m more focused on marketing. During the first phase, the person I worked the most with used to keep me updated on everything, and we had daily stand-ups. I was always informed about the project, which I really loved about her. This person was also professional, and she helped me determine how to take the project forward.
The project manager has also kept me updated in case of delays. We mainly communicate through Skype, and we are also in the same time zone, so we have phone calls from time to time as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The way that Techugo has managed the project is impressive, and I’ve really liked their quality of work. If they aren’t confident about the quality of their work, they don’t deliver it. They have to be satisfied with it before they deliver.

I can’t think of anything that they could improve on.

Techugo’s cost is slightly higher than others, but they’re nice and professional, and they deliver high quality. It is better to spend more money than going for a more economical option that doesn’t work for you.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Yellow Doodle Industries, an organic children’s essentials company. We started last year.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
I wanted to have an edge in the Indian market, and we needed someone to develop our website.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Techugo developed our e-commerce website, including the backend. They built everything from scratch in PHP. They suggested we aggregated features to receive orders and search the site by collection and product. Also, customers can choose their gift basket or add items of their own.
To start the project, we made our plan with Techugo. They explained to us what could be added and what couldn’t. Then, we gave them our photographs, and they handled the design and coding part. They developed a backend that we now manage for all the orders.
What is the team composition?
There were 10–15 people working on our project at a time. They had 3–4 members on the design team, and my team was connected with one of the senior design members. Also, we had 2–3 people per department. We would talk to one head person of each team, and there were 2–3 dedicated managers.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
A client had recommended Techugo, but I still looked at a couple of companies. However, I liked Techugo’s initial document the best. It was neat, clean, and they specified everything. They gave us new, fresh ideas, and no other company did that.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $55,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2020. We have them on retainer now because we need changes every now and then.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
First, the website is working well, and the designs on the website are great. The code is good and clean, so there aren’t any bugs. Also, we went live within 1–2 months, which was quick. Moreover, we’re growing in the Indian market. Ever since working with Techugo, my orders have increased.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is good. They schedule everything beforehand. We sometimes need changes done overnight, and they handle it quickly. Overall, queries get resolved within a day or two.
My team is in contact with them, and we have meetings once or twice a week. We communicate via Skype, Zoom, and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They come up with great ideas, and they keep us in line with the current digital trends. Their team made suggestions for what would be best for us, which we couldn’t get with every company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything’s perfect, which is why I continue with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You should always look for a team who’ll advise you on what to do. You can make a product, but you won’t be able to run your business if you don’t have any marketing advisors or can’t keep up with the trends. Techugo is helpful with everything.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have metrics on the app because it’s not launched yet. Internally, I can say that I’m satisfied with the team’s professionalism and how fast they’re able to work — the design and functionality of the app are great.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re amazing — I didn’t have to chase them with the work. Techugo is professional in providing updated reports with documentation of the milestones we’re reaching. In terms of communication, we use email, WhatsApp, and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re always available for me despite the time difference.Additionally, they’re responsive and eager to do the job.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — they had a rough time during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the number of cases, and they never left me hanging with the work, wondering what was happening.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be as involved as possible from the beginning and communicate your goals and expectations.

I'm the managing director and founder of Cluqe Limited. We are incorporated in Mauritius.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We were trying to develop a mobile application. Our idea was to create a marketplace where users could buy and sell mobile apps and websites, but we wanted to incorporate a few ideas or platforms within one site itself.
One of our requirements was that the app be available for both Android and iOS. We wanted to ensure that it was a native app for a better UX.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We didn’t have a well-defined scope or features that we wanted to be implemented for the project. When we had a technical discussion with Techugo, they helped us come up with the entire scope. They also defined what the features were going to be and what exactly was going to be implemented, module by module.
We reviewed that together, added and deducted a few features here and there, and then got the final scope. Techugo did a lot of research and discovery (R&D) for the project. Then, Techugo developed an iOS and Android buy-and-sell app. They implemented a self-service advertising kiosk, which allows corporates to log in to the app and look at various advertising opportunities. Verified corporates can pre-determine locations on the app so that they can see which locations are available.
The idea was to try and limit human interaction. We wanted the marketplace to have it all automated, which is a brilliant thing that Techugo has done for us. Apart from a marketplace for websites or apps, the idea is to incorporate a few other features in the solution, including job searching and applications on the app.
What is the team composition?
We work with a team of seven people.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
While we were looking for developers, we went to Clutch's website and looked at the top five developers. We contacted Techugo and sent them our RFP. Techugo responded, and we realized that they seemed like a perfect fit. We looked at the previous work that they had done, they provided a satisfactory timeframe, and we finally selected Techugo for the development.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent somewhere in the range of $65,000–$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The development started in July 2020. This is an ongoing partnership since it’s a global project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I highly recommend Techugo for whatever application development one might be looking for. Their team is very knowledgeable, and they know exactly what they are doing. They will not just go with the flow as to what you have in mind; they will add their input as well.
It's quite a challenge to find someone like Techugo because of the way that current companies work. You tell them what to do, and they just do it and deliver it to you, whether it works or not. With Techugo, this hasn’t been the case; we have a good partnership with them, and they’re very efficient and work promptly.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager that they have is a key piece of the puzzle. He not only knows what he is doing, but he also manages everything entirely well. I don’t have to worry about the project 24/7. He pushes us for answers because he has a deadline or timeline that he wants to manage.
Whenever we need to make any changes or revisions to the app, they are addressed quickly. We communicate via Skype. We have chats and calls with the team and with the project manager as well. We also have a shared drive with all of the files. That's something that the entire team has access to, and everybody is on the same page.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Within hours after every meeting, the project manager sends me the meeting report with whatever was discussed. They have recordings that go into the drive for future use and for sharing with the team.
I’m also impressed by the team’s expertise. They are very knowledgeable and never say that something is not possible. The developers make sure that there is enough research done for whatever changes I request, and they make it happen.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have anything for them to improve. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Any advice for potential customers?
Go for them since they know what they are doing. However, my advice would be to have your plan as detailed as possible and give enough details of what you're looking for or expect. Techugo is going to take that and further build on it.
