Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We hired Techtrust for a Software Engineer focusing on  Backend.  Playing a key part in designing, building, and maintaining the data platform and our Machine Learning products. Goal was to find action-oriented and collaborative problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and can take on new challenges with optimism in a fast-paced environment.  Follwoing was the breef given to techtrust team:

• Craft high quality code for scale, availability, and performance
• Collaborate with Engineers and Data Scientist to build high-performing, customer focused solutions
• Drive engineering projects to from end to end with a high level of ownership
• Ensure the quality of our product through code reviews, testing, and bug fixing
• What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-availability systems
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Strong expertise in Python, Flask, Airflow, and SQL.
• Experience with columnar analytical databases, for example, Redshift, Snowflake, Clickhouse, Apache Druid or others.
• A bias for action, where no task is too small

Nice to haves:

• Experience with managing infrastructure, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, Terraform Cloud
• Experience with node.js/typescript
• Comfort with cloud technologies such as AWS
• Experience working in high growth venture-backed startup(s)
• Prior experience with fintech, trading, transaction or payments data for optimization, fraud, recommendation, routing or tracking

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We met regularly and techtrust team presented resumes and we had few other selection meetings which were done to realign on requriements.

techtrust team delivered the candidates in record time, Any new requirement changes were addressed in 24 Hours and we even received response during holidays which was not expected but welcomed by the founders of the team. They connected to our team slack and it was very easy to project manage their deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Techtrust cared about the culture and overall fit of the candidate. We were worried about hiring an agency to run recruiting for such an important position but they did not dilute the brand. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Techtrust could have done differently?

I would ask team to focus a bit more the over all resume quality vs quantity. we wish we received more resume to review.
