We manufacture ukuleles in Hawaii, and we have a parent company overseas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Team Vision Marketing?

We needed a website that represented our brand as best as possible. We knew that having many pages and clicking on each of them reduced the chances of users staying on the website. As a result, we wanted a site that had easy-to-use features, a nice color scheme, and made people stay on it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Team Vision developed and designed a custom website for us, including the backend.

We’ve had website revamps throughout the time we’ve been working with Team Vision. Every month, the team performs website maintenance, including working on plug-ins, license updates, and more. About a year and a half ago, we decided to switch over to WordPress because of the customization aspects.

What is the team composition?

We normally work with one account executive, but we also have communication with four more people. One person does the main work and the others work on what we ask for, whether it’s a video or other content creation.

How did you come to work with Team Vision Marketing?

I believe we found Team Vision through Google or a reference. Our parent company is the team that does business with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

Over the course of our partnership, we’ve invested, on average, $5,000–$7,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Team Vision in 2009, and we have an ongoing partnership with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Team Vision has made an easy and customer-friendly website. It has all our information on the first page so users can stay and get everything from there without a lot of clicking. We’re now giving them a good customer experience.

We’ve been doing a lot of marketing with another company while we’re working with Team Vision. Since we’ve done the website revamp, our traffic has increased. I don’t have an accurate number, but I think that people stay on the website for 1.5 minutes. We don’t have more analytics because we don’t sell directly to customers since we only have an informational website.

How did Team Vision Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

We don’t utilize any project management system. We only have one project at a time, so we communicate with Team Vision via email because it’s easier to keep tracking the work. However, I’m sure that they have their own project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Team Vision is a very friendly company to work with, which is one of the reasons that we’ve worked with them for a long time. They keep promises and that’s an amazing thing. If they give us a quote and go a little bit over the timeline, they keep it at a lower rate. They go above and beyond at exceeding expectations.

They’ve brought a sense of up-leveling to the organization that transfers over to us; this creates cohesiveness between everyone in our and their team. Team Vision has shared their thinking, design artwork, and expertise with us, which have all given us a professional look.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can't think of anything Team Vision could improve. On the contrary, their team brings good qualities to our business. They’re helping change the culture of the companies that they work with. 

Any advice for potential customers?

It’s very beneficial if the client is in Hawaii because you can go down to their office and they can come to you, as well — you'll get a personal connection. I definitely recommend their team to any company that is in the same industry. We know a decent amount of website creation agencies, and Team Vision is our number one choice. 

Every company has its own standpoint, and they’ve reached a certain level of conducting business. Nevertheless, when it comes to relationships, Team Vision is a good company to work with.

I’m the director of sales and marketing for a resort and spa.

What challenge were you trying to address with Team Vision Marketing?

We needed to generate brand awareness and increase revenue generation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Team Vision plays a key role for our company to place us on the map to generate business. They handle our brand management, came up with our slogan, and updated our logo.  

The team also does media planning and “power buying”. They make sure that our money goes to the right places to make the most impact. We strategize the content together and make sure our content is adjusted for the marketplace.

The team also takes care of print advertising in magazines in the right areas. Additionally, they do state of the art web design and digital marketing. For social media, they manage our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. They used a drone to take videos of our property for our marketing, too. They captured breathtaking footage from our property to the beach and the surrounding area.   

What is the team composition?

We worked with a media planner and a digital marketing specialist.

How did you come to work with Team Vision Marketing?

We narrowed our pool down to three companies. Team Vision won outright with their creativity. They didn’t have the corporate feel like a lot of the other larger ad agencies.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in Q1 2016. Our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Every single year they’ve met and exceeded budget goals. Down the line, we generated growth, thanks to the support of Team Vision. We’ve gained new and valuable customers through promotions they’ve managed. We’re constantly growing with their direct-to-consumer efforts.

How did Team Vision Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re a part of our team. They’re phenomenal. Whenever they say they’ll do something, they do it. The team is always ahead of deadlines and they listen to customers. They listen and deliver their best every time. We have instantaneous communication through text and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve made me feel like I was important, even though I know they have bigger clients. Whenever we meet, it feels like I was the only client that they have. They give us the star treatment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be closer, but in this day and age, it’s easy to manage most things remotely. They’ve learned how I am and how to accommodate how I like to work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to listen to the president of their company. He speaks from the heart and he’s got great answers.

I’m the president of Aina Lani Pacific LLC, and we’re a land developer of a workforce housing builder.

What challenge were you trying to address with Team Vision Marketing?

We reached out to Team Vision Marketing to do all of our marketing for our project. From a marketing standpoint, we want to be able to get a clear message out to our potential homeowners and buyers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Team Vision Marketing developed all of our websites, media material, marketing materials, brochures, write-ups, and do all of our renderings. They designed all our logos for us, not only for this project but for all projects. They made several presentations on what we were looking for in regards to our website and how we wanted everything to look.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five people and they were involved in everything from website design to logo design, brochure design, and overall concept.

How did you come to work with Team Vision Marketing?

We invited Team Vision Marketing to give us a proposal, show us what they’ve done, and we picked them after looking at a couple of other companies. They worked on a project for my father’s company and another on the west side, so there was a little bit of a connection there. I picked them since they are a one-stop-shop and I like working with one group instead of multiple.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested just under $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project around June 2016 and that project was completed in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The release of the project was very successful. We had a project on the west side of Maui with thirty-three single-family homes and we had over four hundred applications for them. We ended up getting about one hundred thirty potential homeowners so we had a lottery, and they were with us from start to finish. We measure the success based on the call to action on what they had developed, the marketing material, we had an overwhelming number of potential buyers that have reached out because of what they had done.  

How did Team Vision Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They met every deadline that we had required in order to get ready to release our projects. The relationship developed to where if I needed to pick up the phone and reach out for changes or different ideas with the marketing programs we have going and it was nice to reach out with a phone call and get those changes and ideas vetted. We never had to wait for a return phone call, which was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re basically a one-stop-shop for us, which makes it easy when doing the kind of projects we do. I liked the personal touch that they gave our company. Their creativity overall for what we asked them to do was over and beyond what I think anybody else could have delivered.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t see the need for them to make any improvements.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Allow your company to allow them to do what they do best. A lot of people hire someone and then want to tell them what to do, but allow them to do their job and you’ll get more than you expect.
