I’m the managing director of Digiryte, a digital transformation and software company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tax Expert first helped set up our company when we first got started. We tried to move our accounting in-house, but we quickly went back to them. Since then, their team has taken care of everything related to our taxes—annual taxes, VAT, R&D, and more. We use a digital platform that Tax Expert accesses to pull our information with minimal back-and-forth on our end.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–3 people.

How did you come to work with Tax Expert?

They were referred by someone we know at the inception of the company. There were a couple of others that we knew of, but Tax Expert came pretty highly recommended, so we were comfortable going with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $20,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in 2015 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tax Expert has made our lives a lot easier in terms of our taxes and our numbers. They understand our business well. Whenever we have to do our R&D reports, we can provide minimal information, and they’ll take care of the whole process of getting us our refunds.

How did Tax Expert perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate every couple of months. They respond to any queries very quickly. Ilyas (Owner, Tax Expert) is very good at giving advice if he thinks things should be done differently. They don’t charge for having a quick consultation.

What did you find most impressive about them?

With standard accountants, it’s a lot of paper, time, and back-and-forth. In contrast, Tax Expert is easy to approach, quick at what they do, and timely in getting everything done. We don’t have to worry about our accounting anymore: it’s one less headache for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could digitize payments when sending those out. But that’s it.

Go and have a chat and see how you feel. Tax Expert is good at what they do.
