5B hired them for a complete implementation of Odoo 14 enterprise. They also worked on customisation of Odoo based upon our business needs.

We found them via Odoo partners list and discussed them among several others as well. The criteria for them to select were their professionalism, prompt response, expertise in Odoo and long term commitment.

We have been getting service them since Feb 2018 that time we had Odoo 13 enterprise software (which is built in Python, Postgres). Odoo is an ERP software used in our company for functions like CRM, Sales/Quotations, Accounting, Manufacturing/Inventory, and website.

They helped us from start to finish the Odoo configuration and customisation. Additionally we migrated to Odoo 14 enterprise edition just recently back in November 2022 and they did all the migration work for us. That involved data, and source code migration and setting up new server in AWS cloud with reverse proxy/load balancing in nginx.

The helped to configure our postgres is AWS cloud hosted RDS.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Using Odoo and successfully implementation of system we can easily manage our customers, lead/opportunities in one system. Having the Sales/quotation, Purchase, Inventory and manufacturing modules have helped us to get all the dashboards/reports, forecasts easily and have helped us in business decisions big time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated via various communication channels like emails, virtual meetings, etc. They are very professional and knowledgeable in Odoo which have helped us to get the deadlines more easily. They are very good/prompt in communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are best suitable for our company and we can get the expert advice very easily and quickly unlike some large companies where we have to go through various layers of departments before actually getting the right person for our technical inquiries.

They first took a firm understanding of our business and all variables in relation to the Odoo ERP. Once established, they started with a woocommerce integration and shipstation integration. This allowed all of our web orders to pass through our ERP and get pushed over to our fulfillment software (Shipstation).

Then came automation which entailed of applying all sorts of sales rules and quality checks involved with manufacturing products prior to making the stock available. One of the largest feats was developing a custom module for a platform called commercehub which interfaces with large retailers. They were given the documentation and developed the app asking the right questions every step of the way.

There have been 2 people working with me on these projects - both developers.

We have been running with minimal issues for over 2 years now on Odoo and any issues that arise they are taken care of almost immediately. With our permission, they make sure to go above and beyond the scope whenever they see fit.

They are very flexible to project management tools. I'm familiar with Asana so I created a board for these specific type of projects and they naturally worked well to keep projects updated and crossing off tasks as they were completed.Their communication via skype has forged our relationship.

Their speed, communication, and consistent quality which in my experience tends to diminish with time.

I really can't say anything negative about their team. They have always exceeded my expectations.

The initial customization was a success, which triggered series of requests for improvement and expansion of the oayroll module. Following the great chemistry working together, we hired Sheliya Infotech continously for other ERP solutions (customizations) over the past 4 years.

3. Build new module to support advanced reporting which is tailored to the client's needs
4. Modify Odoo's invoicing process. Tweak payment stages, to support multiple currency input. Add multi-currency reporting features onto the existing reporting structure.
5. Modify invoice layout to match with the client's needs
6. Build multiple language feature for Odoo to support the Lao language.
7. Tweak the inventory management module to support multiple product variables that works with the advanced reporting module (i.e. barcode, SKU, expiry date, batch #, manufacturing #)
8.  Optimize the entire platform for the sales process, which took too much time during product query, due to the huge amount of SKUs (13,000 SKUs).

One of the most obvious metric that we based ourselves on to measure outcomes is timeframe. Before working with this team, we encountered false promises, delays over delays and disappointment after disappointment. Sheliya Infotech has always been faithful to their timeline which puts them ahead of many, many other providers. The timelines have always been respected and satisfaction has always been met.

We communicate mainly through Skype. We believe that the smooth and swift deliveries that we get from Sheliya Infotech, are a result of details in the scope of work, which comes from a very detailed questionnaire that the beginning of each task.

Nikunj has proven, time and again, that he can relay key objectives of each of our complicated requests seamlessly to his team members. We have never had any communication issue with this team.

As mentioned above, worry-free transactions that come from honest and realistic timelines, paired with constant updates which help us with our own client expectation management.

Perhaps, if time permits, having a face-to-face meeting, would certainly help improve the great work relationship that we currently share.

My team’s main responsibility is to always aim to enhance our system because this reflects on our company. We had a complicated AI requirement from them. We worked on it for six or seven months until we reached a level of satisfaction. Their solution is an integral part of our business. 

How did Sheliya Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

They are good at project management. Our account manager is very responsive. We communicate through VIPER and we work very closely together.

Cost-wise they are good. If you ask competitors, you will find that they are 50% less than other providers. Sometimes, there are people who will overprice the work because they know how valuable it is for you, but I haven’t found this with them at all. Our system is integrated with Amazon because we sell some of our products on Amazon as a seller, and they did a lot of enhancements for a reasonable cost.

I like that they are honest. That is why we keep working with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There has to be someone testing their solutions. Sometimes the language barrier can be a problem. They are not bad, but sometimes it happens that we are sending requirements. They then deliver it in the wrong way, but when that happens, they redo it without any issues, and still deliver on time.

You have to be very clear when you send them the requirements. Preferably, send screenshots and try to always go into detail. Make sure that they understand the requirements very well to ensure that they will deliver a perfect solution for you as per your needs.
