Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Managing Director of UDS Projects. We are a small family run building company specialising in quality decks, custom carports and renovations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sure Shot Film?

Our company operates in a very competitive industry and we wanted to produce a video that highlighted our work and gave our clients a platform to provide their testimonials in an engaging way.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to further promote our business and convert potential clients into clients.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected Sure Shot Film to shoot and produce our video due to their other outstanding reviews from their previous clients.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Once we selected Adric and Sure Shot Film we briefed him on what we wanted to achieve and showed him samples of other videos we liked. He then meet us on location with our clients and worked with them and us to record their testimonials and then went about filming the renovation work. We walked around with him to show him the areas of the house we would like to capture. Adric was extremely professional on the day of the shoot and put our clients at easy straight away. Once filming was done Adric edited the footage and sent back a proof back very quickly. We then reviewed it, made some minor changes and then Adric sent the final link back to us for us to then use on our website and social platforms.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

As it was a small shoot Adric was the only person on site filming. He used 2 cameras to capture the testimonials. We provided the questions and sat off camera and asked our clients the questions while Adric filmed. On the day he ensured that multiple takes were taken so that we captured everything we wanted and that the clients were happy with their responses. After filming Adric was very quick to email back a proof for us which we were then able to make some very minor changes to.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since posting the video on our Facebook page it has become the most watched and has been the widest reaching post organically for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective. Adric was very quick to respond to any email we sent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were most impressed with how Adric from Sure Shot Film was fulfil the brief and deliver exactly what we wanted.

We were very happy with end result. It was a pleasure working with Adric from Sure Shot Film.

I’m a web officer working in the marketing unit for a higher education provider.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sure Shot Film?

Our university has five student residential colleges. We wanted videos of each college to show their look and feel on our website. This would make it easier for prospective students to choose which college to apply for.

What were your goals for this project?

The purpose of the videos was to promote our campus lifestyle and highlight the collegial, academic support that we provided to college residents. We wanted to attract recent school grads to apply to stay at our campus.

We would also use the videos as a marketing tool for our website as well as our social channels. Since our online content was lacking without video content—especially for a youthful market—we relied on the videos to provide this.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We held a tender process and received three quotes. Sure Shot Film came in at the middle price range, and their quote was within budget. Their tender was professional, and choice was clear.

Sure Shot Film produced six videos—one for each of the five colleges and a sixth as an overall promotion for our residential services and college/university life. 

Their team used the quoting brief and worked with us on a shot list, liaising with our marketing unit and project leaders from the colleges who enlisted the talent. 

They provided two camera people. They also took drone footage and offered still photography as a part of the package, including drone photography. 

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They were in regular contact with our project leaders during the editing process. They met the deadline.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos were used in a social marketing campaign. I don't have information about how student enrolment numbers increased after that campaign. The six videos are still in use on the website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow went well. The shoot timeframe was short because of the time of year—it was nearly winter, and we had to get the footage before the trees were bare without filming too close to exams. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They met deadlines and struck up a great rapport with the students. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

There were no difficulties during the shoot or post production, so no areas of improvement stand out. During filming, the Sure Shot Film crew was courteous and efficient, and they asked all the right questions.
