What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Stingrai Inc. provided weekly updates on the found vulnerabilities per section. Although we only had medium and low vulnerabilities, they recommended focusing on the important mediums and other security improvements by doing SAST and DAST.

How did Stingrai Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Stingrai Inc. performed very well from a project management standpoint. We primarily communicated through email and Slack, which proved to be convenient and effective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stayed consistent with their communications, and their advice was pretty good during the presentation. They managed to involve not only the security team but other teams as well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, their communication and presentations were strong. One area for improvement would be incorporating clearer audio and enabling video during presentations to enhance engagement

Their team's replies were very prompt, and they always alerted us immediately when they discovered a critical vulnerability during their testing progress. Everything was delivered on time, and we were able to proceed with our other compliance tasks.

They were very diligent during the testing progress and they were able to identify vulnerabilities that other vendors were not able to find.

Nothing really. There were some minor issues with UI of the panel that presented the vulnerabilities but those were addressed very promptly by their team.

Stingrai Inc. pentested our application, reported the issues they found, and gave us recommendations on how to resolve them via their dashboard platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Stingrai Inc. identified multiple issues around authentication and sensitive data access, leaked keys, and potential opportunities for bad actors to use our platform to phish, social engineer, and DDoS our service. The team provided multiple recommendations to directly improve authentication and cover up edge cases.

Some of the recommendations included removing hard-coded keys, rate limiting certain POST requests, implementing stricter server-side role and access validation, and adding more validation around user inputs for edge cases.

We created tickets for our engineers to resolve the issues, and they were resolved within a month.
