The Discovery phase included the following: Initial ranking report to establish performance baseline Stakeholder interviews On-page SEO field Analysis Competitive Analysis Technical audit to assess crawlability, page speed, mobile friendliness and schema markup.

Keyword Volume Opportunity Assessment Strategy: They built a roadmap for how to address the opportunities identified in the Discovery phase. Prioritized punch list of solutions for technical fixes Keyword Strategy On-Page Augmentation & Optimization Recommendations

Deliverables: They presented a comprehensive SEO project outline and roadmap including documentation of the strategies listed above and a prioritized plan for implementation.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results were significant. Following SonarDigital’s SEO work, we saw a substantial increase in organic website traffic as well as a noticeable increase in qualified inquiries coming directly through our website. Our online visibility improved considerably, and the website became a much more effective source of inbound leads for the business. The growth in both traffic and customer inquiries clearly demonstrated the success of the project and the value of the work SonarDigital performed for us.

Their project management was excellent. They were responsive, organized, and consistently delivered on time. Holly was amazing to work with, always responsive, helpful, and attentive to what we needed. We also really enjoyed working with Joe, the owner, who was always engaged and genuinely invested in our success. Overall, the entire team was great to work with and truly felt like an extension of our own team.

What impressed us most was their deep subject matter knowledge and their ability to translate that expertise into real, measurable results. They truly understood our needs, our customers, and the nature of our business, which made their SEO strategy extremely effective. The significant increase we saw in web traffic and inbound inquiries really speaks to the quality of their work.

Honestly, they could have charged us more money! The value and results we received far exceeded our expectations. We were extremely happy with the entire experience and don’t have any meaningful areas for improvement to point to.

Sonar Digital handles our digital ads and email across all six Rosemont locations, and they tie it all together so our Google, social, and email efforts actually work as one. On Google, they run our search, YouTube, and Performance Max campaigns to keep us visible and drive pre-orders and store visits. On social, they manage our Meta ads to build buzz around big moments like Thanksgiving and seasonal produce. And on email, they run our Drip account, building workflows, keeping our lists clean, and bringing past pre-order customers back each year. The best part is they really get our business. They know how our seasons and promotions work and what each store means to its neighborhood, so their campaigns and recommendations always feel tailored to us, not generic.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Over our most recent six-month period, the results speak for themselves. Revenue grew 20% year over year, from $78k to $91k. Website sessions were up 10%, with direct traffic up 26%, a clear sign that more people are seeking us out by name. Average engagement time climbed 50% across the board, including 74% on paid social and 92% on paid search, which tells us the traffic they're driving is genuinely interested, not just passing through. On paid social, their campaigns reached over 500k people across both local and traveler audiences at an average cost of around $2 per person and just $0.24 per link click. Our email program is holding a 41% average open rate with more than 2,200 new sign-ups, well above typical retail benchmarks. And their Thanksgiving and holiday pre-order campaigns pulled in 292k impressions and over 5,000 clicks, directly fueling our most important sales season. What stands out just as much as the numbers is the consistency. We meet monthly to review performance, and I can't remember a meeting that wasn't overwhelmingly positive. They tailor everything to our business and our locations, which gives my team back real bandwidth to focus on our own work. More than anything, the trust we've built has made Sonar feel like a true extension of our team.

Sonar's project management has been reliable and low-maintenance from the start. Deliverables come in on time, campaigns launch when they're supposed to, and our seasonal pushes like Thanksgiving pre-orders are always ready ahead of the window rather than scrambled together at the last minute. We meet monthly to review performance, and those meetings are focused and useful. They come prepared with the data, walk through what's working and what isn't, and turn that into clear next steps. When our priorities shift or a question comes up between meetings, they respond quickly and adjust without friction or a lot of back-and-forth. Practically, that means I'm not spending my time managing them. They keep the day-to-day running smoothly across all our channels, which frees up my team to focus on the rest of the business.

We're a Maine grocer that serves loyal locals year-round and a wave of tourists in season, and they built a dual-audience strategy around exactly that split, reaching over 360k travelers with campaigns that position us as a must-visit while keeping our local evergreen campaigns driving repeat visits. That kind of tailoring is rare.

Sonar developed and runs our Paid Search and Paid Social strategy, as well as advising us on our Search Engine Optimization efforts. They have also suggested further digital marketing avenues, such as YouTube advertising.

Sonar has been very hands-on in terms of researching and understanding our industry and have made calculated suggestions that have paid off in terms of more clear branding and SEO results. They have carefully monitored our Paid Search terms and have helped us stay within our budget while maximizing our results. They have also made recommendations on creative development to help maximize engagement and awareness across social platforms.

Sonar has been fantastic with regard to communication and project management. They are quick to respond to our questions and they have always been very engaged with our work. We have worked with other digital marketing firms in the past who seemed to just apply a "formula" to our marketing.
