Stephen Sko and his team spent 3 days with us throughout our premiere NYC event to capture footage of the festival components, Carnegie Hall rehearsal and concert, and then shadowed a large student tour group to capture the elements of that experience. He produced 6 videos for us to include: 2 - 3-4 minute event/tour videos 2 - 30 second sizzle reels 2 - Client/Faculty testimonials

I'm the co-founder of Purple Plum. We've created a, patent-pending, Goodiegram Greeting. It's a greeting card that's the perfect all in one gift.

For what projects/services did your company hire SKO FILMS, and what were your goals?

Our Goodiegrams are a new type of greeting card, so we wanted to create a video that could explain our products features in a fun & easy to understand way. Our goal was to have an eye catching visual demo of our product to post on our website and social media channels to drive sales.

How did you select SKO FILMS and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for video production companies using Upwork. After reviewing many options, we landed on SKO Films. We loved the previous work Stephen showed us and he was very personable.

We started with a call to discuss what our goal was for the video. Stephen and his team work very quickly. They understood exactly what we wanted and created a storyboard right away. We loved it and shortly after they delivered our fun 1 min Goodiegram video. It was truly a pleasure working with SKO Films, they exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier!

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Stephen, who outlined the project and kept us on schedule. After each milestone, we would give him feedback and got any edits done very quickly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have not started using the video yet as we are waiting for the launch of our website but it is such a fun and engaging video, I am sure it will be a hit!

Stephen was very easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We spoke over the phone, video chat and email, he was quick to respond to all.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They took the time to discuss and learn our product and goals for this project. The attention to detail and creativity of the team was really impressive and unlike anyone I have ever worked with in the past. They were even able to show us some new ideas to improve our vision, which made the final video amazing!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nope, they really did an amazing job and I would love to work with them again on future projects.

Weiss Properties is a real estate development company specializing in residential townhomes across New Jersey. We are vertically integrated, handling every step of the development process, from approvals to construction and then lease up. I work as head of marketing for the company. I handle all of our creative advertising, including our website and social media.

For what projects/services did your company hire SKO FILMS, and what were your goals?

We hired SKO Films to film a virtual tour of the building. Because of the pandemic, potential residents preferred to see the property virtually. Our goals was to showcase the building in a concise video.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected Stephen because we worked with him in the past and he's always provided top notch work. It was his portfolio that initially attracted me to his services. HE has the ability to take a seemingly normal landscape and make it exciting on video.

Stephen was tasked with filming all parts of the building, which include the amenities and the units themselves.

Stephen charged a flat rase.

Stephen is a one man time and frankly, he produces better quality alone than I've seen from a team of multiple people.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the engagement or general feedback about the services?

The video was an absolute masterpiece. It was concise and exciting and gave over a beautiful portrayal of our building. He captured every single shot perfectly. The lighting in the video was beautiful and his angles were unique. We use the video on our website and when prospective tenants reach out.

We've had a lot of success renting when using the videos. Stephen was incredibly diligent - he stayed at the property from sunrise to the nighttime to capture a diversity of shots. I did not ask him to work that many hours but he did so anyway. He is a true professional and is dedicated to his craft.

Stephen was incredibly flexible. We had issues with the weather and it was never a problem. After the video shoot, he turned the production around in a matter of days. He is incredibly punctual and delivers, exceeding expectations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What is most unique is how Stephen puts a video together. There are videos and then there are films. Stephen makes films. There is an incredible artistic value in all of his videos. They are extremely well thought out and fun to watch. He is an artist with the camera, nothing less.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are no areas of improvement, we will use Stephen for all of our video needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with SKO FILMS?

I’ve hired them for a couple of projects within the social media space. Recently, I used them to create a promotional video for the launch of my yoga app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I asked Stephen (Creative Director & Filmmaker) to look into animations that would capture the feeling of calmness and peace. I also wanted all of my messaging for the app to be showcased within a minute.

I worked with Stephen and an assistant.

A friend recommended them. We clicked immediately. When I saw their previous work, I was blown away by their quality and creativity. I was very impressed, so there was no question that I’d work with them.

The video took a week to complete in April 2020.

The video is doing really well. I’ve received great feedback from social media. We haven’t run ads on it yet, but we plan on that after some restructuring.

There was never an issue with me trying to reach them. It was immediate communication and action.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Stephen was patient. He took my vision and feedback very well. I’ve worked with a lot of creatives. Sometimes, it can be not easy if your vision doesn’t align with theirs. Stephen really works with his clients. Not only does he listen to you, but he’s also willing to adjust and consider your input. The result ends up being something even better than you imagined.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, no. I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have mood boards and examples ready. Stephen can understand the aesthetic and vibe easier. Send him whatever you can in terms of colors, models, and looks. He can help you brainstorm. His creative input helps in the brainstorming process.
