I’m the product director of SmartBran, a SaaS startup. We’re building a repository to help with home health support and care, as well as a remote monitoring system.

What challenge were you trying to address with Simform?
We needed support from a technical perspective to build the backend and frontend of our internal platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Simform is designing our SaaS platform, which includes the frontend and backend. The team is using AWS for different use cases and our expansion. Simform is also brainstorming additional features and functionalities that we’ll have later on. We’re currently building our MVP platform and will expand from that.
Initially, we did the UX research and created the wireframes and workflows. We went back and forth with Simform to make adjustments and understand if what we were building was feasible. The team is now working on the development.
The platform has a login feature and a dashboard where users can see things from a high-end perspective. The platform is a repository, so there’s a lot of documentation and items that users can put in on a day-to-day basis. An admin or co-admin can take a quick glance at who is in the field and what documents are required. There are also notifications and forms for doctors, nurses, and specialty physicians.
Additionally, the platform helps manage visibility of cameras, sensors, and equipment. Users can see if the needs are being met and if anything is happening. We can have quick responses if an incident happens, and it can be documented in the system in real time and sent out to the proper individuals.
What is the team composition?
We work with front- and backend developers, UX support, a project manager, a tech lead, a business analyst, and a tester.
How did you come to work with Simform?
I did a lot of searching. My partner and I were looking at different opportunities. He put it in my lap to see what my suggestions were. I had done a lot of tech support and work before, so my initial thought was that it might be comfortable for him to have someone local. However, I was leaning towards a team in India.
I didn’t mind having conversations with the tech team early in the day, which gave us time to navigate and work. I found Simform through a Google search. I looked at their top-tier clients and what they could do. I also looked at their turnaround time, price point, and team involvement.
One of the major pieces for me was their connectivity and response time. They were very responsive, and we worked through Slack. I gave them access to Figma, and they were able to play around and look around. It made it easier to communicate and connect. Simform did a presentation for us and gave us an overview of what they’d done before. It gave us a lot more insight that they were the right ones for what we needed.

How did Simform perform from a project management standpoint?
Simform’s timeline and communication are top-tier. The team is flexible when changes or adjustments are needed. We work closely with the project manager, and we have a very good connection. We look forward to our meetings and calls because there’s never an issue. We always look for solutions and see both sides.
We’ve had a couple of ideation sessions, which have been extremely helpful. We’ve prioritized the forms and put them in categories. Simform has worked extremely well when it comes to prioritizing work. The team has helped us build a quality product.
We use Zoom calls, emails, and Google Docs to communicate. We can see the prioritization list, and we can check off things and collaborate.

Simform’s connectivity is impressive. The team is flexible and does what they say they’re going to do. The team communicates well, and they bring in individuals that really know what they’re talking about. Everyone on their team feels like a subject matter expert.
