We’re a web, mobile, and e-commerce developer. We’re based out of Ahmedabad, India, and we have a team of 30 developers.

On the web side, we mostly work in Laravel PHP, Node.js, and AngularJS. We develop mobile apps mainly in React Native because most of our clients are interested in hybrid applications. For e-commerce, we mainly working WooCommerce, Shopify, and Magento.

What challenge were you trying to address with SearcHound?

SEO is a continuous process, and we always have to market ourselves. We had a single-page website when we started, but our SEO person suggested creating individual pages for each of our technologies.  

I was writing the content myself initially, with a few of my team members, but we realized that this wasn’t going to help. We needed very polished content on the website, so we started looking for agencies with high-quality content writers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SearcHound is producing all the content we post on our blog and press releases, as well as for guest posts. All the content is in English.

What is the team composition?

Pournima (Head of Content) is my only contact. I believe she manages all projects at SearcHound. I’ve also talked to their founder but don't interact directly with the content writers.

How did you come to work with SearcHound?

We’d tried many content writers before SearcHound, but we weren’t satisfied with the quality of their work. They offered better rates for our content writing requirements. We started with a trial period, and I was really satisfied with her results so we expanded the engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

We have a contract for 15,000 words per month, for which we pay them around $250.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with SearcHound around April 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our articles have been selected for a few guest blog postings. We’re happy with the results from SearcHound.    

The content they provide is well-structured. They present the problem statement, they discuss that problem around the world, addressing specific points, they slowly come up with suggestions, and they make a summary at the end. That’s a very good way of writing content.

I really like that concept, and it’s why we’re still working with SearcHound.

How did SearcHound perform from a project management standpoint?

I don’t talk to Pournima very often, because we manage almost everything through Google Sheets. We add a new list of requirements every month, and we track which ones are work in progress and which are complete. She sends me invoices at the end of the month. We have phone calls once or twice a month, to discuss any specific requirements.

Our teams usually communicate through WhatsApp and email. If I miss an email payment reminder, they’ll notify me over WhatsApp. My SEO person assigns all tasks to Pournima, and I act mainly as the accounting person.

They deliver our requirements on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I first started working with them because I found their rates competitive. I get much higher quality content for the same rates I was paying other companies.

Later on, I learned that they had competitive rates only for blog content. They have different pricing plans for PR releases and other special requirements. Because the results have been satisfactory, I’m happy with the higher rates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve delivered good results so far. One improvement would be assigning a relationship manager for every client, to take care of content requirements and provide updates.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

SearcHound has different payment plans for different content, so verify what rate they’re offering first. I would recommend them to other companies, but I want to keep SearcHound for myself.

My father is in agricultural sector and have an organization in latur. This organization employees a lot of daily wage workers and helps agriculturists in their produce with eco-friendly organc methods. My father wanted to create a website to make his organization more accessible for the people and also create a digital space for his initiative in the agricultural sector.

I did Google search for best content service provider in Pune and found this platform. We scheduled a stand up meeting with them and found the proposal satisfying.

1. Requirement understanding meeting.
2. Proposal sharing and confirmation.
3. Content created and shared the 1st draft.
4. I updated feedback and they revised the content accordingly.

Our website is getting good number of views on google search and we get a lot of queries from our email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I liked that they customized rates according to the project's particular needs. So we got a relevant project cost from them instead of paying for the standard rates. Every content provider should give a customized project plan instead of fitting one size for all.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that I can think of!
