Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Director of EXL Consulting who provide business modelling tools and services to clients across all industries.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Satva Solutions, and what were your goals?

My client, a fast-growing recruitment business, was implementing a new CRM system and needed it to integrate with Xero, their accounts package. The sync provided by the CRM systems was not automated, as sold, and could not sync images from CRM-generated invoices into the associated Xero invoices.

The initial request was for an API to solve the problem. However, the CRM provider did not have the facility for that, so Satva Solutions found an alternative solution to sync the CRM invoice image attachments (timesheets, expense claims and expense receipts) with the Xero invoices.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through the Xero developer forum. The were quick to initially respond, the follow up meeting not only happened within days, but was a Zoom meeting, rather than just e-mail contact, giving us the opportunity to talk through our problem, and for them to talk through potential solutions. The also gave us an initial estimate of cost, which was extremely competitive and delivered significant value for money.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The initial step was to scope the work followed by an exploratory phase to identify solutions and options. We then agreed on the scope and preferred solution which took us into the design and development phase.

We were kept up to date at all times via 'Basecamp' and had Zoom calls where necessary. Within 2 weeks (including the Christmas break) we has a test system. Testing took only days identifying minor tweeks.

The updates we made within a day and the system was ready to go live within 2 weeks of commencement. I'm not sure of the technologies they used, but they delivered us a process which is easy to use delivers exactly what it's designed to.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our original contact was Chintan, CEO who set us on the right track and has steered the ship throughout the whole process. Mayur, Business Development, initially led the process and then Sidd was our very upbeat and on the ball Project Coordinator. A number of other members of the technical team worked with us and all were extremely competent and always available to make any changes necessary.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project gave us the ability to, at the click of a button, sync images from invoices within the CRM into Xero. It is a very easy to use process which was delivered on time and within budget.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The whole team has always been very responsive, both via e-mail, Basecamp (which they set up to keep us up to date with progress) and Zoom. Being able to talk to the team via Zoom has been particularly useful as difficult technical problems often require two-way conversations to reach to the best solutions, and with Satva Solutions the right people were always available to talk to.

One of the best things has been their ‘can do’ attitude. The solution to our problem (which was to sync invoices and bills from Vincere into Xero, with images attached) was not immediately apparent. The obvious API solution was not available to us, but that didn’t stop Satva Solutions finding a way for us to be able to do what we needed to do, and it was an ingenious solution.

The team worked tirelessly to meet our very tight deadlines. They kept us up to speed with progress at every stage and they delivered within the promised deadline. Amazing and all too rare! From the outset they provided us with estimated costs, which were extremely competitive, and they have delivered within the original quote.

Everyone from Satva Solutions was extremely knowledgeable, forward-thinking, responsive, and cheerful!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their 'can do' positive attitude. Their responsiveness. Keeping us up to date with progress. The ingenious solution they found for us. Value for money. Completing the project within 2 weeks and within budget.

I’m the engineering director at a medical technology company. We do various research treatments for patients who have nerve degenerative and other diseases. We study the background and other details regarding those diseases and when patients come here, we run additional tests on them to know more.

We need a team of experts who can work on two applications to help us with patient intake. The goal is to build a platform that our patients can access and use to input their information. Then, the second app should help doctors view data, message patients, see journal entries, and more.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Basically, there are two platforms — one for the doctors and one for the patients. Satva Solutions created a mobile application that runs both on android and iOS. The team also developed a web app that our doctors use for administrative purposes.

They built platforms that allow our end users to experience multiple functionalities such as sharing PDFs and recording various data. We gave Satva Solutions the leeway to decide on the platforms’ build but they worked on previous wires from our old apps. Right now, we are currently debugging the platforms and doing revisions on some features.

We directly worked with 3–4 people but there are around 10 people on their team.

Satva Solutions has previously worked on our initial app. Since we liked the output then, we decided to team up with them again for this two-platform project.

The Satva Solutions team’s communication skills are great — they always respond to our emails immediately. We keep in touch through Basecamp because we find it easy to send updates there for both parties to see. Communication is going well, when their team has questions, especially with revisions or updates, they ask for clarifications from our side.

Their project management is also fine — they’re able to stick with the budget which is important for us.

I first find Satva Solutions from a Google search when I was looking for a full Microsoft .NET-based company to outsource the work in the development.

They have designed, developed, configured, and launched a lot of new backend business management solutions. The project began with a discovery workshop, which let us reach a mutual understanding of the business challenges and goals. Once we approved the workflows, wireframes, and mockups, the actual production began in the form of two-week sprints. The functional versions were ready for user testing and feedback every two weeks. Improvements were made during each sprint thanks to key suggestions from their developers.

What was the team composition?

The .NET Core MVC project team had about thirty people, but certain individuals would come and go depending on the skills needed. That being said, we did have a stable project manager who was our direct and permanent point of contact. Our business scenario convinced them to suggest an agile and scrum development approach, which would let us quickly build and test different versions of the desired solution. They are so honest and proved excellence in the .NET Core Framework.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our solution was developed and launched early. Project completion was a major achievement for our executive leadership, board of directors, and investors. In fact, we signed an extended service level agreement (SLA) with them because of how well they performed. While it is only a few months into the deployment, the solution has already reduced weekly data entry errors by more than 70%. Employees now have, on average, 3–5 extra hours of time each week to devote to value-adding activities rather than data entry.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They manage everything with Scrum Masters in the company. Project management was very impressive, especially compared to other agencies. Their team regularly complied with deadlines and always communicated delays well ahead of time. Unexpected turnover never threatened to stop critical progress. We communicated exclusively with Skype, tracked, Jira, and GitHub.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I like most is customer support and professionalism. Clients have direct access to both project managers and the wider team behind them. This is critical because technical things can easily be lost in translation when there's a single middleman playing the role of messenger. They prevent that issue by keeping the lines of communication completely open.
