What challenge were you trying to address with Rolling Productions?

We needed to create commercials for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rolling Productions made several commercials for us. A few commercials were based on past clients, so their team used clips from those events at the ranch. We created another video that involved models who came on site and acted as brides and grooms. For some of the videos, we created the storyboards and their team suggested improvements. For other commercials, Rolling Productions solely created the storyboards.

What is the team composition?

JC (Owner, Director, and Producer) is my main point of contact, but I work with other members of his team too.

How did you come to work with Rolling Productions?

One of my employees recommended Rolling Productions and said that they did good work. We reviewed their portfolio on their website and invited them on site. We liked their direction and what they filmed at the ranch, so we decided Rolling Productions was a good fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $10,000 on their services in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2017 and the collaboration’s ongoing. Most recently, we collaborated in the summer of 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re happy with their work. When we show their commercials, people react to them, which is why we keep going back to them. Their team makes an emotional connection for viewers. That’s what we look for in our business. Everyone likes their commercials. We have a couple of videos running and one of them already has over 1,300 likes. They do quite well.

How did Rolling Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via phone, email, and text. Rolling Productions always meets the project’s timeframes. If I need a video done immediately, they complete it quickly. We let them have free reign on certain aspects of the project but any information that I need to know, their team lets me know. Their team keeps me informed about the production.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the quality of their work. I haven’t hired anyone else to produce commercials for the business. We see individuals who use other production agencies but neither the quality nor the emotional connection are in their videos.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything for them to change. Their services are good, and their process works for them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Let them take the reins. They manipulate the camera to get the shots and angles that make a video successful. When you try to point their team in a direction, the results aren’t as effective.
