I’m the CEO of a luxury skincare company.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Reputation People?

I needed help with my PR, promos, and publicity work.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They deal with media, social media, and promoting our products. If there are any sales going on, they put them on Facebook, as well as monitor the status of our followers and gather reviews from our online production. For social media and publicity content, they send it to me to approve and then they publicize it. For media, they go with me to events at which I can cultivate a network. They help me meet people that are useful in building my company. We started my company in October 2019 and she’s helped me through this pandemic.

What is the team composition?

I work with Heather (Managing Director/Co-Founder).

How did you come to work with The Reputation People?

I met her through the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce at a networking event. After speaking with her for ten minutes, I absolutely knew we would get along really well. She’s very easygoing and she understands my business. Another main reason I decided to work with her is that she is a lovely person and has worked in Dubai; my clients are also from Dubai and the Middle East. She has a base there and she knows what the people are like. I knew if I had any problems, I could go to her for advice and she’d be able to help me.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

She’s been quite helpful. All the endeavors I’ve done with her and all the plans and actions she’s suggested have been very effective. With her contacts, she helped me build my website. The person she recommended did a very wonderful job. I’m still in contact with them in case I need to change anything on the website. It’s a very good, successful relationship.

How did The Reputation People perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is amazing. She goes above and beyond. If I’m struggling in any other area of the company, she always provides help if she can. If she can’t help, she knows somebody else who can help. She’s very talented, helpful, and has helped my company to become really established.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When you give someone a job, some people just do that. Heather goes beyond. If she knows I’m struggling with anything else, she always tries to help; she makes sure I have the help I need. She always keeps in touch with me. Even during the pandemic, she’s been messaging me and asking if I need any help. She makes sure I am up-to-date on everything that’s going on in the market. If she thinks something needs to be done, she lets me know.

Are there any areas they could improve?

She could try to find other ventures and not just PR, like the legal side. There are some simple things that we, as a startup company, wouldn’t know, and Heather put me in touch with her lawyer. She didn’t have the answers for that question on the legal side of it. I think it would be helpful to have a bit of knowledge herself on that side.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend them all the time. My dad started a company about three months ago and I recommended them. As far as I know, his project is progressing really well. I 100% recommend them.

I’m the head of marketing & digital strategy at Ideagen Plc, a global software business.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Reputation People?

We needed a quality resource to implement a cohesive public relations and external relations strategy for our business. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They took a fresh look at our global market and our reputation within those markets. Their role was really to take a step back and audit where we were, identify opportunities, and then come up with a plan and strategy that they could implement for us. From there, they then measured the voice for our products. 

They came in and worked with our existing members of staff to review and audit. They’ve been retained by us for a 12-month contract to continue supporting us. 

What is the team composition?

There is one main consultant.

How did you come to work with The Reputation People?

We had worked with the owner in the past. She has over 26 years of experience at the highest level. We needed someone with that level of experience and just to take us to the next level as a business.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £15,000 (approximately $19,700 USD). The new project is £40,000 (approximately $52,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our first engagement ran from February 2019-June 2020. They’re now retained from July 2020-July 2021, so our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our organic web traffic and coverage have increased — we’re very satisfied. They’re excellent. We extended their retainer because we were so impressed with the work that has been delivered.

How did The Reputation People perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very organized and always deliver within the timelines. If we have any urgent, last-minute requests, they always would pick those up.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their global experience in PR, external relations, and reputation management is vast. They’re highly qualified, which is important for us to not have to train someone who is not quite as experienced. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

If we could clone them to help us with so much work to do, that would be great. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear on what is unique and don’t think you have all the answers. The reason that you hire an agency like them is because they have so much more experience than anyone in the organization.

They provide PR services, involving creating press releases and disseminating them across social media channels as well as media companies. They’re responsible for reaching out directly to print media publications

I work directly with the principal of the group.

They were recommended to us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our team is more than happy with the services they’ve provided to us so far. They were willing to work around the clock to get us what we wanted. We felt that their services superseded our normal expectations.

They were very professional throughout the engagement. Their project management was quite satisfactory. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve been proactive, providing a personal, thoughtful service. We consider them a part of our team because they truly feel that way. Our teams have built up a great rapport with one another.
