Over the past year, RedSec Labs has supported Imeld across a broad range of cybersecurity, cloud security, and compliance activities, helping strengthen the company’s overall security posture as it scales its AI-enabled learning platform. The scope of services provided has included the setup and configuration of company laptops through Microsoft Intune, including the implementation of device management controls aligned to Cyber Essentials requirements. This covered endpoint hardening, access control configuration, secure device policies, browser and software version compliance, and support for Cyber Essentials readiness and control implementation. RedSec Labs has also supported Imeld in enhancing its cloud security and information security compliance framework, particularly across the Microsoft Azure environment. This included reviewing and improving Azure cloud management practices, strengthening security configurations, advising on access controls and privileged access management, improving monitoring and detection readiness, and supporting a more secure operating model for Imeld’s application infrastructure. In addition, RedSec Labs conducted web application penetration testing and retesting activities for the Imeld platform, identifying vulnerabilities, validating remediation actions, and providing structured reporting to support enterprise security assurance. The work included assessment of application-layer risks, retesting of previously identified issues, and practical recommendations to improve the resilience of the platform. Following security-related concerns, RedSec Labs also provided targeted advisory support around incident response, root cause analysis, infrastructure hardening, and monitoring improvements. This included recommendations for forensic review, hardening of critical application-hosting assets, strengthening Microsoft Defender and Sentinel detection capabilities, and moving towards a more robust, zero-trust-aligned architecture. Overall, RedSec Labs has acted as Imeld’s cybersecurity and cloud security partner, supporting endpoint security, Cyber Essentials controls, Azure cloud hardening, penetration testing, security remediation, incident response readiness, and ongoing information security compliance improvements.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project helped Imeld move from an early-stage security setup to a more enterprise-ready security posture, with measurable progress shown through Intune-managed endpoints, Cyber Essentials control implementation, completed penetration testing and retesting, validated remediation of application vulnerabilities, strengthened Azure cloud security, and improved monitoring and incident response readiness.

RedSec Labs managed the project professionally and delivered the agreed work on time. They were responsive throughout the engagement, communicated clearly, and remained flexible in accommodating Imeld’s evolving requirements, particularly as priorities changed around security, compliance, and Azure cloud hardening. Overall, they were reliable, practical, and easy to work with.

Their flexibility, responsiveness, and ability to support across endpoint security, cloud hardening, penetration testing, and compliance made them feel like a true security partner rather than a one-off vendor. Overall, I would rate RedSec Labs very highly for their professionalism, technical expertise, responsiveness, and practical support in helping Imeld strengthen its security and compliance posture.

Are there any areas for improvement or something REDSECLABS could have done differently?

There were no major areas of concern. Overall, RedSec Labs delivered professionally and were responsive to Imeld’s needs. One area that could be strengthened further is providing a more structured forward-looking security roadmap, with clearer milestones, timelines, and prioritised actions across compliance, cloud security, monitoring, and incident response maturity. This would help clients like Imeld plan security improvements more proactively as the company scales.
