Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Marketing Manager at a distillery based in the Seattle area. I oversee brand asset development and implementation of marketing materials.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rajiv Vaishnav?

We executed a complete redesign of our product packaging in 2018. In order to elevate the sales materials and website imagery, we sought out a designer to create custom bottle renderings for each product in our portfolio.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We used various websites to identify and contact 3D designers. After connecting with 3 potential vendors, we chose this vendor because of their affordable price, quality work, ongoing availability and quick turnaround time.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After a brief introduction of the scope of work we provided the specifications for our liquor bottles. The vendor promptly created an initial design mock for our review and feedback. We exchanged edits semi-regularly for roughly 2 weeks until both bottles, lighting and liquid clarify were near 100% accuracy. The vendor then added the label artwork to each bottle type as requested and made adjustments. Communication continued between us and the vendor for the better part of 6 weeks as they designed and finalized over 35 assets.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In total, we worked with one person, the vendor (designer) themself.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our marketing team has easily been able to implement the final assets across dozens of print and digital materials. Having semi-transparent bottle renderings rather than static images has allowed us to use increase the quality and physical scale of sales materials, and elevated our website experience.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The designer was easy to communicate with and clearly communicated when we could anticipate an updated proof for review or final assets to be delivered. The time difference proved to be a small speed bump in the overall workflow however, the designer went above and beyond to work outside of their normal business hours to meet our deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm impressed by the quality of work provided and the proactive concepts they offered for future needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Consolidate communications slightly so all information being sought out is in one email at a time, until resolved. Then move on to the next round of edits or questions.

I am the Sole Director for Style Finish Design Pty Ltd. We are Manufacturers, Importers and Distributors of Architectural Door Hardware.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had posted the project on an IT website and Rajiv instantly phoned me. We later reverted to Skype where he produced samples for me.

Over a period of a couple of weeks Rajiv produced many 3D rendered samples which were second to none. He starting working on my initial requirements and about 3 months in we agreed on a longer term arrangement.

Rajiv is the sole owner of his business. I have dealt directly with him for over 10 years.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Rajiv constantly looks for feedback to ensure his renders are as lifelike as possible. Our main form of communication has been via Skype and Microsoft Teams. He is available 7 days a week.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team are excellent workers with an amazing knowledge of 3D rendering and website development. He has been instrumental in the development of our business over the past 10 years, and above all I have been able to create a relationship with a supplier who I have utmost trust in, and who I call a friend.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing.

I’m a creative partner at Think Brands NYC, Inc. We’re a boutique size design firm that specializes in cosmetic packaging.

Our third-party customer needed a 3D rendering.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rajiv (Owner) creates 3D renderings and I do the design work. We have displays that we render for primary and secondary packaging. He also creates motion graphics in addition to his 3D work.

What is the team composition?

I only work with Rajiv.

How did you come to work with Freelance 3D Artist?

I found Rajiv 10 years ago, and at that time, I had a last-minute project from a third-party client. I Googled 3D artist and I came across Freelance 3D artist’s website. Since I was impressed with their work, I contacted them and assigned a project to them.

They worked on our project, and they finished it within half an hour. Moreover, the team’s price point was helpful, especially in the US market so I continued to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing work began in June 2011.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve been thrilled with their work, so are our external stakeholders. Moreover, Rajiv is great, reliable, and fast.

How did Freelance 3D Artist perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate using video conferencing and email. However, we’re not using any particular project management tool.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

I never get a no from Rajiv; he always tries his best to accomplish all the projects we throw at him. Whenever I give him tight deadlines, he responds well and gets our deliverables done on time. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing that I can think of. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a very clear understanding of what your expectations are for the project and convey them clearly to Freelance 3D Artist.
