We asked for quotes from multiple companies and were in a rush to start the project. Quytech was a good compromise between cost and quality of service.

Their team has good project management skills. We communicate by email, and they call us via WhatsApp. Their team gives us an update on the project every week. They have teams in the UK and India. No matter the time, they’re available to us.
We also organize meetings between the different teams. For example, I’m not a developer, so I don’t know how to migrate the platform to the Caribbean. We connected them with the team in the Caribbean to plan the migration. Their team’s patient with our lack of technical expertise.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quytech?
We needed Quytech to help us enhance our app so that we could support virtual training experiences.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Since we already had an existing app from 2016, Quytech used it as a base to create a new solution that was more inclined to today’s world. Many things have changed with COVID-19, so they needed to make the experience more user-friendly for our athletes to continue to train.
There was also an AI component that allowed us to track user behavior. Our athletes could access a large library of video content, so we wanted to be able to see which videos got the most clicks and tailor our suggested content based on the athlete’s watching history.
The app isn’t 100% done, but that’s not their fault. We added more things once they’d finished the project, so we’re working on that, now.
What is the team composition?
There were six people, including a graphic designer, UI designer, UX designer, Android/iOS tester, team lead, and project manager.
How did you come to work with Quytech?
I found about 10 companies while searching online, including Quytech, and reached out for a PDF of their work. I liked the more modern style that they had, and they were cost-effective compared to the other companies I considered. It just made sense to go with them.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve paid about $15,000. The full project will cost $33,000, but they let us pay once they’ve completed a milestone, which is great.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in June 2020 and are still working on a few more things.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Anyone can make a good-looking app, but it’s the effectiveness of the process that matters most. As we’re going through development, I look at both how quickly they reach our milestones and the quality of the product itself. They generally get things done right the first time without many bugs.
How did Quytech perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything is tracked in Basecamp, which makes it easy to coordinate between the time zones. I’m based in Atlanta, so I know that they’ll respond to any of my questions within 5–10 minutes during my evenings into my morning.
Beyond that, we do weekly calls on Google Hangout where they share their screen. That makes it easier for us to understand what they’re talking about rather than going back and forth over email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s their responsiveness. I’d worked with another team before, and we would manage everything over email. The problem was, once a thread reaches 10 responses, it became harder to find anything. Guytech has a good setup with Basecamp and Google Hangouts, which makes for a more effective process.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s hard to say because they haven’t completed the project yet, but it’s been pretty straightforward so far. The only thing I’d say is there is a bit of a language barrier, so we have to be very specific with what we’re saying and avoid American slang.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Do more Google Hangouts rather than just relying on email and Basecamp. It’s important to physically explain something through as many examples as possible. That helps them gain a better sense of what you’re looking for.

Their team helped design and build my platform, which is a social networking mobile app. It’s for Apple and Android devices. We’re just getting ready to launch the app on the App Store.
Quytech started the project by structuring and designing the app. I worked with a UX designer to create wireframes. And then, they worked closely with me to design and build features for the platform. Features included a standard chat function, a video function, a currency function, and an SMS delivery function. This enables notifications to be sent to Android users.
Their team designed a unique process for communication among users. They created a video feed and an algorithm for deciding which videos appear for users. Their team also designed a user database and interface that allows users to search for other users.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with more than 10 people form Quytech. There was turnover, so my project was handed over a couple of times. However, that didn’t cause any major problems.
At any given time, I deal with 3–4 primary contacts. I interface with a relationship manager about bills and feedback about their team’s performance. I generally communicate with a project manager to decide on our next steps and receive updates. She communicates with the developers behind the scenes for me. Occasionally, I end up on the phone with the developers.
How did you come to work with Quytech?
I found them online after conducting a series of interviews with development firms in different locations, including the US and Eastern Europe. I ultimately selected them because they created a nice proposal and demonstrated that they had the capabilities I sought.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent between $35,000–$40,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We actually engaged them around April 2019, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m impressed by their development skills, which were outstanding. The platform looks great and functions properly. I’m quite pleased. We’re about to launch the product in stores, so we’ll see how it performs.
Most importantly, they don’t overcharge, which was a fear that I had as a non-technical founder. They act with integrity and keep the costs down for me. I’m happy with their service.
I’m also pleased with their level of patience because this project has taken many twists and turns. Their team has done a ton of work that wasn’t used in certain cases. I’m sure that was frustrating for them. However, they maintained a professional, positive, and supportive attitude.

We mostly communicate via phone and email. We also use a platform called Basecamp.

It was done on Unity for Oculus Rift. It was to be used on a computer because I wanted it to be higher quality than a phone would be.

In order to test the market and products acceptability, we wanted to do a quick PoC of our core engine. We went with the thought, this would provide us an opportunity to check the feasibility of the technology and reduce heavy upfront investments. The user persona we are focusing on are physicians. As mentioned above the primary use case of the project is to help them in cancer detection (Breast Cancer) and predictive diagnosis.
Disclosing not much in detail, we have used machine learning/AI, Image processing to deliver the solution. So, the PoC entails taking the image, then using computer vision the system performs image analysis. Once the process is complete, using our custom machine learning models and medical data, we deliver the final output. The PoC will be primarily available as an iPad app with the API’s being developed in Python.
What was the team composition?
They have allocated one senior project coordinator for regular communication. The core tech team comprised of a solution architect, AI engineers, Python Developers, iOS Developers, Testers and PM.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We have just finished development of the core engine (PoC) and are now doing internal testing before rolling it out to potential user groups for more elaborated testing.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We had a very smooth collaboration. First we have given them a detailed documentation of the project scope, functionality requirements and UI/UX. Based on the same they created the project plan, test cases.
As soon as we approved both, they started the development and completed the project on time and within budget. In between, we had weekly calls, they submitted weekly status reports and periodic updates. Communication was the best part.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their communication skills, knowledge, and timeliness set them apart.

A good responsive Mobile App was required from this project for handling the Conference details and guiding the users/ conference attendees with the details of various sessions being organized at various locations with a facility to push important messages from the Conference Organizers to help all users. A good user-friendly interface was first important for people to be interested in using the app.

How did you select this vendor?
The said vendor was selected after getting a rigorous process of discussion with various vendors, making them understand the requirements and getting details of the time for development as it was our primary criteria since the conference was very near, the cost details were asked for and the readiness to support with pushing important notifications at the time of the 3-day event. The biggest plus point we found with this vendor was their quick response and readiness to do anything and everything to become our partner in achieving the goal. Additionally, the price point given from their end was also very competitive.

A mobile app was developed by the Vendor as per our requirements which was used in providing all the kinds of details about the event and push the important real-time notifications during the event for informing the users to reach the various venues in time, etc.
What was the team composition?
Their team comprised of a Project Manager who understood the details from us, got them incorporated in the form of a mobile app as per our requirements. Got them tested at their end before showcasing the result to us. I would like to appreciate the fact that we also asked lot of changes basis the understandings that we got during the course of the app development but the Quy Tech Team never said no to any of our changing requirements and building up the changes accordingly in time.

The project involved an Android app, and iOS app and a backend panel to manage the listing. There were multiple grocery items listed, with prices. Each item also had reviews and ratings. This is an inventory led model as stock is maintained for each item. The ordered items are supplied by a network of delivery agent from the closest warehouse. The user can track the items ordered and also pay online while ordering.
What was the team composition?
The team had Android, iPhone and backend developers, long with UI designer, tester and one Project Manager. I guess there were 4-5 people involved.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The App is still under development. But the design and UX is excellent. We have received great reviews from our channel partners and investors. We have received multiple releases from the vendor with new features added each time. The project is going as per plan.

The vendor has been using tools like Basecamp and Jira to track the project and update us about the status. We get daily and weekly reports on the work done and the status of the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I think their domain knowledge is the key asset that is important. Since, it was our first time when we got a software developed, it was important that we get a vendor who can guide us. Quytech not only guide us but also helped us in avoiding pitfalls and making wrong decisions.

I’m the president of a wine company that produces wine in California, Chile, and Argentina.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quytech?
They create augmented reality (AR) labels for our wines, which helps us with marketing. This unique approach allows consumers to enjoy a bottle of wine while also having fun with the bottle.

The first project was a 30–35-second story told in poetry. We created a poem that involved two voices, which they translated into a story that was told through AR. Maybe they could open an office in the United States so we can walk over. But otherwise, everything has been great.
