We hired this vendor to support our testing efforts in the development of software for complex simulators used in the education and training of surgeons.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected this vendor based on their experience in the QA field, good knowledge of the technologies used in our SW development and cost estimates.

They support us with the manual testing of our application, especially regression testing, which is very time consuming with our product, as well as confirmation testing.

We worked directly with 2 manual testers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to the help of QA Werk testers we can manage to cover the full regression testing of our product in a timely manner and very efficiently during the different phases of product development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They had access to our project in Jira, also to our documentation on Confluence. We could create test plans that were executed in a timely manner and could access the executions and the bugs and issues found. We synchronize with them regularly and discuss further tasks or assignments.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team often makes suggestions or recommendations on improvements around testing our product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

I’m the CX lead of Granola, an AI meeting notes and other agentic workflows company to help you at work.

What challenge were you trying to address with QAwerk?

We build very fast and wanted to get quick help QAing our builds, specifically from a team with a lot of expertise and a wider expanse of tooling than we had. We were a very small team at the time without resources to test properly and wanted to do this in an agile way.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

QAwerk continuously helps test both our desktop and mobile apps. They do automated and manual testing across all functionality, which covers everything from installation to UX all the way to AI-generated responses. The team reports bugs in tickets, reports their progress, and flags anything urgent proactively. They also provide some feedback where appropriate.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 teammates from QAwerk.

How did you come to work with QAwerk?

We found them through an online search. Their pricing fit our budget, they had a great culture fit, and they seemed to fit what we needed with a pragmatic, fast-paced approach.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

QAwerk has reported a number of bugs, and the team has been able to spot bad bugs before they were released, saving us from disaster! We’ve also generally been able to keep shipping quickly and not be blocked on our limited testing availability.

How did QAwerk perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on time, reliable, responsive, and reactive to our needs, which often change last minute. We communicate through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication and attention to detail in reporting bugs are impressive. They feel like they’re on our team both figuratively and literally! Would recommend!

We needed software testing across an extensive and complex UI with many workflows and technical complexities related to connecting to databases and running sql queries.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

QAWerk was the most communicative and professional vendor we found. They clearly understood how to test complex apps. They had an excellent proposal and were not even the most affordable option but we felt we could get the best results from them and they have delivered.

There was a proposal phase and then we started testing weekly builds of our product with them. They send monthly reports with helpful suggestions and work with our team in a shared slack channel.

Very successful. Our ceo called them “the best vendor he’s ever worked with” and I got major brownie points for their selection. High fives all around.

We interact directly in slack and with shared spreadsheets which is very effective.

They actually care about our application and have innovative suggestions. I was not expecting this.

The main metric we looked at was number of crashes and bug reports from the production application.

QAWerk has been very responsive to requests -- I'm not sure when they ever sleep! The team is very clear and organized with managing the overall project and communication.
