Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder and CEO of Pursuit by Design, a professional coaching company based in Nairobi, Kenya.

For what projects/services did your company hire Qallann Marketing Agency?

I needed a website for the company and Qallan set it up in 2019, we then had a revamp done by them in 2020. In addition, they also managed social media for 2020.

What were your goals for this project?

Needed a website where people could find the business especially being a home-based business. The aim was really to have a presence on the web. Social media's goal was to start building the brand and grow visibility.

How did you select Qallann Marketing Agency?

I have previously worked with one of the founders in a corporate space. Knowing the quality of their work, their character, and their creativity - I knew I could trust them to do the job. Their pricing was very favorable for a start-up like Pursuit by Design. Initial discussions about the project also validated the reason to choose to work with them.

Describe the project in detail.

After the initial conversation, the vendor got back to me with the scope of the work. There were lots of conversations around brand colors, what I wanted to communicate, tone, etc. They sent draft copies and requested feedback, and added it in.

They were very good at listening to my ideas and incorporating them into the project. Both for the website and the social media management. One thing I valued is they took time to understand what the business is about, who the target is, and more importantly manage it within the budget.

What was the team composition?

Initially, I worked very closely with one of the founders and once things were clear on the direction to take, I had a dedicated account manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Well, for a start I went from not having a website to having a functional website that is user-friendly. Social media presence has also been established from ground zero.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was quite effective. Quick response to emails, good follow up, scheduling meetings, phone calls or video calls when required. The use of technology made it a lot easier.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The ability to connect with what Pursuit by Design is about, even though it is a startup. Willingness to incorporate one's ideas and advise appropriately without being shut down, as many marketing companies do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall, I am satisfied with their delivery.

We need a one stop shop for our digital marketing needs form conception to design to posting and audits of the same. Qallann provides this for us.

To grow our user base and increase brand awareness

They came highly recommended and on meeting seemed to meet our needs.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We needed to establish an online presence as well as design merchandise for promo purposes. The former was the more involving of the two with need for brand guidelines, content creation and long term goals needing to be set. They also provide SEO Optimization for our company.

What was the team composition?

We've worked with the marketing lead and have an account manager that handles our work specifically and is our point of contact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our userbase has grown significantly and our brand awareness is beginning to go up as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our Account manager is always available to talk to us and they have given us a long term plan for our brand in terms of digital marketing way beyond the initial scope. We work really well together.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The involvement of the team and their ability to think outside the box. The team is very good at demystifying digital marketing to us.
